ooh Eddas, that's so sweet

i'm not a great believer in spiritual things either, but things like you describe i do believe in.

maveta · 26/03/2007 18:03

AngeG - thinking of you and your dh. It is so hard. I thought the same as your dh when I read your post, that it is a nice way to look at it, lives entering and leaving and the whole cycle of life. Whatever helps, I reckon. Sending you thoughts x

doghouse · 26/03/2007 18:03

sorry to hear your news Ange.

well, Ikea wasn't tooooooo bad I suppose. Still plenty of people to get in my way and annoy me! Find I am getting increasingly intolerant as due date gets closer. At least it was a lovely sunny day and got back in time to sit in garden.

LOL at chocolate talk. Sweet things are supposed to suggest a girl arent' they? Certainly seems to be the case for me. Am making the most of the last few weeks of being able to eat creme egg after creme egg with a clear(ish) conscience!

Labour vibes to Octo! xx

AngeG · 26/03/2007 18:04

Thanks for sharing that Eddas. Makes sense to me also, but I do have a bit of belief in things above

mammyjo · 26/03/2007 18:04

Good to hear from you octo, glad you are ok.

So pleased about 1b3 getting her babies out tomorrow! She must be so excited. SOSPL if you text her back please send our good wishes, will be thinking of her tomorrow.

MIL reckons I am going to have my baby this Wednesday. As much as I hope its that soon I also hope she isnt right!!

mammyjo · 26/03/2007 18:07

Sorry Ange, meant to mention you too. Horrible news for you and dh. Just because its expected doesnt really make it any easier to comprehend when it actually happens does it. Thinking of you xxx

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 26/03/2007 18:14

Hello Maveta - hope having nice time with sister

runnyhabbit · 26/03/2007 18:16

Afternoon all

Have been taking notes, so hope I don't miss anyone

Ange - so sorry to hear of dh friend

Octo - how exciting (but a bit frustrating as well?)

Maveta - wonderful news about paternity leave.

Great news for 1b3 - please send her my love x

LOL about nesting it has been happening in the runnyhabbit house too. Still getting little bits of show, so who knows. Can't possibly happen this week - dh is away!

I'm I the only one that hasn't got a chocolate craving? Please someone tell me I'm not alone

Picked sister up from hospital today. She's looking really well considering she's had major surgery. Thank you again for all your wishes x

Has anyone else had difficulty with their dc adjusting to the clocks changing? ds was really ratty yesterday, been a bit better today though. Maybe its just me being tired

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 26/03/2007 18:34

Hello, a quick post before B comes back in from playing with her friend.

Ange, so sorry to hear about your dh's friend - never easy whether expected or not.

Octo, really hope things move for you and you aren't hanging in limbo.

Runny, Becky has been great with the clocks going forward. Yesterday she slept until 9.45! Today she slept until 8.15!! I am sure we will be back to normal tomorrow, but v glad of the lie ins I have had. Although absolutely shattered today and incredibly uncomfortable. I swear to God this baby has not stopped moving all day. Hope you are ok without dh. Mine is back tomorrow at about 11.00 having gone off this am at 6.00 am and that feels long enough

Love to everyone else and see you later.

YvieE · 26/03/2007 18:36

AngeG sorry to hear about DH's friend - Just glad that he did indeed meet love of his life & they spent some time together.

Really pleased for 1B3 - please send her love and hugs.

Octo - was sure I was going to wake up this am to news that you'd had a LO during the night.

Mystic CD can you predict when mine is going to come out? Have a bet with DP, would give you a % of the winnings!

Runnyhabbit - glad sis's op went well.

CD - meant to say great that the baby has turned.

EllieK · 26/03/2007 18:46

just had a text from nutty, she can't get online but octo is on her way in to be monitored!

Katy44 · 26/03/2007 18:53

Is no-one going to have a baby? Do I really have to go and finish off this assignment I've been boring you all with for the last few months? Is that what you want? IS IT?

maveta · 26/03/2007 18:55

Hey Octo (oh please PLEASE can we start shortening it to Pussy instead?! ) Really hope you aren´t feeling like this for weeks on end and that your wee one decides to stay put a bit longer or come on out but stop messing his mummy around!

Sis went home yesterday, had a lovely time, Dh was an angel and cleared out of the way loads so we could hang out alone together and it really does feel like years since we´ve been able to do that. I was sad to see her go but I´m so tired and don´t feel like such great company right now, as many of you I´m sure can understand!, that I wasn´t as sad as I would normally be, IYKWIM. And that says a lot about the stage we´re at because I ADORE her and it´s never long enough when we´re together.
Just had a lovely warm bath and am all wrapped up in my jim jams waiting for dh to come home so we can eat dinner.

EllieK · 26/03/2007 19:01

YES KATY

Emmymummy · 26/03/2007 19:01

Just popping on to say hello. Haven't caught up since yesterday and am still at work . I guess no-one else has had a baby yet?

Am having lots of period pains and baby feels like she's trying to escape via my stomach - very much like a sceme from alien at the moment. Owwwwww Please don't make me put up with this for the next 4-5 weeks (not due til 25th April).

Hope all are OK.

Oh and they've been doing some tarmacing around my building at work. Yummy!

Katy44 · 26/03/2007 19:04

Have they noticed it takes a lot more than it should do to cover the same area??

PMSL

babysopiniontakesover · 26/03/2007 19:08

LOL

maveta · 26/03/2007 19:12

Thanks for letting us know Ellie.. you know we´ll all be on tenterhooks til we get more news. ..

You know, you may all envy me living in a warm place but have you thought about this.. ? about a month after I have given birth I may need to get into a bikini... Once they heat hits I WILL need to go to the pool and I just don´t know if I can wear a swimming cossie. I haven´t worn one in yeeeeears except to swim laps and I´d feel such an old frump sitting at the local pool in my speedo. But the thought of wearing a bikini. well. dear lord.
This just occurred to me in a flash yesterday and it really bothers me. YES, I´m VAIN, YES I know it. speaking of which, now that we´re all in the final straight.. everyone keeping their ladygarden in good condition? As soon as I´m on ML I´m off for a wax and an eyelash tint (yes, I´m making sure I don´t need to stress about mascara with a newborn.. didn´t I say I was vain?!)

Bubbaloo · 26/03/2007 19:12

Hi Ladies,

Just a quickie from me to say huge congrats to WCL.

Hope everyone is doing well and not too fed up,waiting for their babies to arrive.

All is well here-have had lots of Bh's and have put on about 5 stone in weight which I can't wait to shift.Off to see the consultant on Weds and hoping to get another scan to find outthe size of the baby-think it's going to be over 10lb's.

Take care all.xxx

Katy44 · 26/03/2007 19:18

maveta - did that (LTRF) the other day.
DH described it (when asked) as 'a bit baldie'!! He found it very amusing.
Well, I've hired my TENS machine - am totally ready to go into labour now

OP posts:
babysopiniontakesover · 26/03/2007 19:18

Maveta -

how you can think of a full wax at a time like this I don't know.

how you can consider wearing a bikini 4 weeks after a birth seems even more unbelievable but I have seen your pic and you will prob manage. Why not a tankini??

And finally I am very very of you living over there and I just LURRVE the sun.

By the way did you move with your parents over there? Does your sister still live in blighty (just being nosey!!)

Katy44 · 26/03/2007 19:27

I can't wear a bikini at the best of times
