Ok, got bored of waiting for you all and started a new thread while it's quiet!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
geordiemacminx · 24/03/2007 08:26

That sounds like a wonderful idea bumble... I'll come too - your dp can stay in your house too!!!

Awh Katy thts not good - weather is rubbish down there I am led to belive? Take yourself out somewhere nice for the day - baby shops and nice lunch - somewhere like.. YARM!!!

Katy44 · 24/03/2007 08:35

I haven't even opened the blinds yet
I've only been up for half an hour or so, sure my get up and go will come back!

octopussyinyummyeastereggs · 24/03/2007 08:36

Morning - can't it be bedtime again?

I have ferrel children in Ikea - prefer to call them free range Go about once a year and avoid taking them at all costs! Think lots of glasses and wild spinning children!

Feel crap - eventually got to sleep at 1am ish. Off to feel sorry for myself and make a concerted effort to be nice to boys and not shout in mega grumpy mood!

geordiemacminx · 24/03/2007 08:40

I'm sure in a couple of years I will have at least 1 ferrel child in ikea too....

liath · 24/03/2007 08:43

GMM, now you've said that I'll just have to pop to Peckhams and get some pain au chocolat just to wind you up !

Have you ever gone to the Klondyke garden centre? Smaller than Dobbies but better IMHO.

geordiemacminx · 24/03/2007 08:47

I dont go for the gardening stu - I go for the coffee shop, gift bits and the farm shop.....

Where is klondyke? Think we have one over here too actually - no idea where mind

liath · 24/03/2007 08:51

It's off Frogston road & has a lovely cafe!

runnyhabbit · 24/03/2007 09:09

Morning everyone

Sisters op went really well. Spoke to her last night, and she sounded like she had one hell of a hangover Might visit later today, but tbh I had such a crap nights sleep (dh fault picking for a fight before we went to bed, which resulted in me bawling, again) Will probably see her tomorrow instead. She has got visitors today, so its not like she'll be on her own. Must've been something in the air, because my mum said she had the same with dad last night (only she didn't cry!)

Dh working in London today, which is probably not a bad thing, considering last night. But he's away for most of next week - not impressed seeing as due date is 2 weeks Tuesday.

runnyhabbit · 24/03/2007 09:11

And thank you so much for all your kind wishes for my sister Depending on how her physio goes today, she might be home tomorrow - yay

Going to have a shower in the attempt to make myself feel more human

mammyjo · 24/03/2007 09:13

Morning! Lovely day here, beautiful blue sky and actually quite mild so must make an effort to go out somewhere. Ds has just left to go to MIL for the day and he wont be back til around 5pm so I have a whole day to myself with no school run either! Very little sleep here yet again. I know that I wont get much after baby is born, but at least I will be able to lie down in comfort which I certainly dont do now.

Clarice, what muffins do you make on a Saturday. Only nosey as I love them and make good raspberry ones or cheese and ham ones! Always on the lookout for new ideas. Hope your dh is ok, good news that he is coming back home again.

Runny, hope your sister is ok post surgery.

mammyjo · 24/03/2007 09:13

X post with you runny, glad she is doing ok.

nellyhel · 24/03/2007 09:14

It is truly beautiful here this morning, blue sky. Kids wanted paddling pool out but perhaps not quite warm enough for that! Don't even mind dh going out on mountain bike this morning, it is too nice not to.

Rubbish night again, had cramp in my hip at 3 a.m. and nearly crying in agony! Never had this before and dh snored through the whole thing. Reminded me of first labour when I was up for about half an hour before I woke him to tell him I was going for a bath and it had started. Five minutes later the contractions got really close and there was not hot water for bath anyway so went back to say hospital NOW! He was back asleep, and when i shouted said "Oh, i thought you were kidding, I'll get up in a minute"

On the cramp thing, I had it again later lower down my leg, does anyone know what causes it? I can't remember and it is the first time this pg. Did wonder if it is because I was on my feet a lot yesterday but didn't have my rather fetching knee-high support tights on? I've been wearing these as I have the start of a varicose vein on one leg.

Have a good day everyone, going to try and stay off PC until tonight at least!

CaptainDippy · 24/03/2007 09:34

Sorry - no time to catch up properly; but STILL NO BABIES, I see - madness!! I am v.out of breath and feeling spaced and knackered, but ok. Mind is racing .... so much to dooooo .... Actually wrote a list for my hospital bag today - hurrah - just gotta pack it now!! DH said he'd go out and buy any bits I needed (inc new make up and toiletries) on Mon, bless him....

Cheers for the new thread Ellie - I was born in good old '82 as well - so no idea what these Biddies are going on about!!!!!!!!!!!

Tee! Hee!

DH and a mate are widening our miniscule driveway today, so I am going to the Farm / soft play (weather dependant, but looking promising so far...) with a friend and her LO's and my MIL too cos I am finding my 2 hard to cope with out of house atm. I am sure you guys with a LO (or several) in tow understand!

Any major news I have missed??

DH and I had a MAJOR argument yesterday - he took so long getting the girls ready we never got swimming - I was fuming and went off and sat in the car for an hour or so. We're fine now though - was soooo horrid though. We argue all the time atm, is yukky!

Swinging crib has been installed ready at the end of our bed - eeeeek - looks scary!! Just need to put covers on now. Need to get new boxes to sort baby clothes. Going to start decorating tue - DH has a/n off work....

All stations GO ... About time too!

Right, best go and help DH who is currently in our v.poor excuse for a garden with the girls - he is smashing up the pond with a sledgehammer (!!) and they are watching with great admiration ....

What are other people up to this w/e??

WestCountryLass · 24/03/2007 09:43

I REALLY thought I was going to have an announcement for you ladies this morning, had lots of twinges yesterday and VERY intense BH all evening but they stopped dead at 4.30 this morning. Course the kids woke up at 6am so not only do I feel as if i've done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, I have been up since the crack of sparrows

CaptainDippy · 24/03/2007 09:44

Oh WCL [[hugs] to you - hopefully it is the "start" of everything and you'll be posting soon enough!!!

Emmymummy · 24/03/2007 09:46

WCL and everyone with twinges - what is going on with these babies? Are they all involved in some kind of conspiracy to keep teasing us and them not coming out? Maybe they're all going to come on the same day in a great big whooosh! Right, someone's got to have theirs this weekend, this is just getting silly.

Mark has just taken Em to Legoland for the day!!!!! Hurrah, have a day to myself!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 24/03/2007 09:57

Morning all. Lovely day here too. Lots to cram in today.

Hope everyone is ok. Sorry to those who had crap nights with cramp/twinges etc.

CB, delighted your dh will be back with you tonight, and hope he is feeling ok.

CD, have a lovely day at the farm/soft play - I love those places!

Runny, hope you patch things up with dh and glad that your sister is on the mend.

All ok here. Becky is giving us grief - ok now, but could quite happily have walked out earlier. I have no idea what the problem is - she swings from being obnoxious to sensitive and so on. We are avoiding shouting as this just makes things worse, so are now just trying to ignore her when she goes off on one and not pondering to it. V difficult as Andrej and I are both feeling quite highly strung at the moment!

Anyway, love to everyone, and catch up later on.

mammyjo · 24/03/2007 10:02

Poor you WCL. Why is it that the pains come at night keeping us awake then we have to stay up all day too looking after other dc's?
Emmy, think you are right about the conspiracy. All the babies must have some sort of telepathy going on between themselves! Cant believe its very very nearly April and still not one baby, not even the twins!

nuttygirl · 24/03/2007 10:14

Ok just a quick post, haven't had time to catch up but will hopefully get back on later!!!

Woo, it's my birthday...26 today!!! DH came home with a bunch of flowers yesterday and took me out for a meal (at Chiquitos where I stuffed my face!). He also got me a jumper and a CD. Got some bath stuff from M&P off his parents and money from my family. Off shopping now (gonna pick up some RL tablets!) but got to dash cos DH needs to get to the bank!!!

CaptainDippy · 24/03/2007 10:17

EmmyMummy - Sooo - enjoy your day sweetie!!

Happy Birthday!!! Nutty!! Have asuper time.

Hope the day gets better with B SOSPL - It is probably a "reaction" to the huge life change she is about to experience - bearwith her hon!

Gotta go - screaming DD1!!

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 24/03/2007 10:24

Nutty, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Have a wonderul day darling! xx

Emmymummy · 24/03/2007 11:23

Happy Birthday Nutty. Have a great day.

SOSPL - poor you, you seem to be having real ups and downs with B. It's so hard when they play up, especially when all you want is some sympathy yourself. It's really hard trying to explain to young children that mummy is tired, mummy needs to sit down and have peace and quiet and you need to be good. They just don't get it do they?

CD - I know, it's great! Have just had a major de-fuzz session, and am about to (deep breath) go and pack my hospital bag. Then I might need a rest .

Bramshott - will drop you an email about meeting up over Easter break.

Tili · 24/03/2007 11:36

morning all.

Happy birthday Nutty hope you have a fantastic day.

Beth has been poorly last few days she has had an ear infection so me and DH have been trying in vain to catch up on some sleep as poor beth spent 2 nights awake screaming in pain and saying could we hear that bow wow noise too. bless her she is much brighter now esp as the painkillers have kicked in.

Midwife is coming out to see me tomorrow going to ask her about the strange pains by my navel.I also have a sneaking suspicion that baby is still breech despite me waving my arse in the air at every given opportunity!

Anyway hope you all have a lovely weekend if anyone can manage it do you think we could actually have a baby on this thread now please

take care all xx

weeonion · 24/03/2007 11:38

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 24/03/2007 13:23

Wow, it's quiet on here!

Just had a text from 1b3. Poor lamb is back in hospital with high blood pressure, protein in wee and headaches. They are going to monitor her. I'll let you know if I hear any more.

It's really cold and grey here now - hope it perks up a bit!

Hope you are all ok. xx
