Not good news sadly. Scan showed a 7 week foetus with no heartbeat. Should have been 13.

Best of luck to the rest of you and hope you all have smooth running pregnancies and easy labours. I will pop back from time to time to see how you all are.

Pinkandwhite · 11/08/2017 21:22

I am so very sorry for your loss Troika. That is incredibly sad. I wish the outcome had been different for you. I hope you can take the time you need to grieve and I hope you have good support around you.

Bubblesblue · 11/08/2017 21:56

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 12/08/2017 08:30

Thanks Pretzel - I may well get it! I just want to wait a few more weeks to make sure things keep progressing (sorry for always being the voice of doom on here!). It is a gorgeous colour though and your bump is lovely! I just look fat Grin.

Troika - I'm still thinking of you today. I really hope you and DP managed to get a little rest last night and you're doing ok given the circumstances Flowers x

lynzmb · 12/08/2017 09:47

f1sher · 12/08/2017 10:10

@Troika, I am so sorry for your loss. Keeping you in my thoughts Flowers xxx

@pretzelpieces, thank you for the good wishes, they took my bloods on Thursday, plan to give them a call on Tues to check if everything is okay - can't face waiting three weeks for a letter!

In other news, I've been up with sickness and a gripey tummy all night - have been assessed by 111 and they want the duty GP to see me at midday because they don't think it's pregnancy sickness either. The joy(!). Hoping it will pass quickly and I'll be feeling much better soon...

lookatthemoon · 12/08/2017 10:43

Hope all you ladies are doing well and loving the bump pics. I'm still suffering with the nausea and sickness here at 13+2 weeks, hoping it lets up soon!

EmilyK83 · 12/08/2017 18:06

Oh Troika, I'm so, so sorry to hear this - massive hugs Flowers

Hope you feel better soon, f1sher!

In news from our end, I bought a maternity bra today and honestly, I wish I'd done it sooner - it's SO comfortable!! First time I've gone non-wired since I was about 16 and it's odd, but way less painful!

Troika · 12/08/2017 19:25

Thank you all for the support.

Pretzel the picture wasn't insensitivelynda timed at all, don't worry

EricaSeas · 14/08/2017 10:24

So sorry to hear that Troika, it's really hard. Hope you have plenty of support around you. x

I haven't quite ventured into maternity clothes yet but DTs really wrecked any muscle tone I had before so I don't think it will be long. For now I'm just very grateful for baggy summery dresses. I've still got stuff from my first pregnancy but they're really big and stretched out. Has anyone got any good tips for where to shop now? I lived in H&M maternity last time but it wasn't great quality.

I'm so tired today; had a lovely but full on weekend with a trip to the seaside yesterday, birthday party and loads of jobs on Saturday and I'm really struggling with insomnia at the moment. Might see whether I can slope off home early today and sneak a nap in before I pick DTs up.

Loxy4527 · 14/08/2017 16:50

Omg guys I totally forgot that you can stop taking folic acid after 12 weeks! Been taking it religiously. I'm going to take a break from it and see if my lingering morning sickness goes away.

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 14/08/2017 17:20

Awww Erica I hope you manage to get some rest. Insomnia is a killer. I've struggled with insomnia for the last decade and it's bloody awful. With my first pregnancy I loved the first trimester because I could suddenly fall asleep at 9pm and sleep through. Sadly this pregnancy I seem to be suffering a bit with pregnancy insomnia. It's weird how our bodies react to things and how different we all are in pregnancy. I hope yours settles down soon!

As for maternity clothes, I got most of mine from ASOS. I really struggle as I need decent quality clothes (let's just say I don't have the sort of figure that can pull off cheaper, fashionable clothes!) but most of the 'good' places are just too pricey for me to justify Sad.

Is everyone stopping taking folic acid after 12 weeks? I thought I might carry on taking pregnacare for a little longer, probably until I'm passed 20 weeks, as it has other 'good' stuff in (although obviously I'm focusing on having a healthy, balanced diet too!) x

Emwahs · 14/08/2017 18:51

I am still taking folic acid and vitamin d Just incase, I could not stomach the pregnancy multivitamins they made me throw up within half hour of taking them. I am still taking the feroglobin as well to keep my Iron levels up as was told they were low but not low enough to treat.

Has anyone had any problems with breathing, this is going to sound odd but my boobs grew hugely into first trimester, but suddenly they have ballooned again and I am struggling to catch my breath and breathe. Especially in the mornings it feels like I have a lead weight on them and I get a sharp pain when I breathe in. Should I just assume it is the extra weight on my breaks or should I see docs?
