Never heard of it, lookatthemoon - sounds intriguing!

I can't stop eating today. Yoghurt for breakfast...followed by two small wholemeal rolls with light cheese triangles as I was still hungry. Then a jacket with cheese and beans for lunch...and I still feel so hungry!! Not loving this!

Emwahs · 07/08/2017 13:23

emily my appetite has increased loads as well suddenly I have gone from not eating full meals to starving all the time. Trying to fight it but it's hard when your stomach is rumbling.

So far today has a bowl of cereals, a donut, 2 x crisps, sandwich and a yoghurt! Hopefully that should keep me going till tea now!

BabyButton2 · 07/08/2017 16:41

Hi lovelies.
It's been a while - sorry for the lack of posts. I'm still suffering really bad with HG being sick non stop and am rally struggling to eat...I have no appetite and looking at food makes me feel sick. It started it ease slightly at about 20 weeks last time so still a while off.

I hope everyone is doing ok ❤️ is there a facebook group for this group? When I had my little boy someone set up a facebook group which is still going strong now 3 years later and lots meet up regularly from across the country - it's lovely.

Had our 12 wk scan a few weeks ago and it was very clinical. In and out in minutes but at least baby was happy and bouncing up and down.

@lookatthemoon My friend used one of them last pregnancy and post pregnancy and she reckoned it helped lots.

Has anyone bought anything yet? We bought our first gift for the baby room last week whilst down in swanage.

Names...we have chosen the girls name Elodie but still pondering.

Hope everyone is starting to feel great xx

RainyDayBear · 07/08/2017 22:20

BabyButton I've had bad sickness too, have you seen your GP? Mine was far more sympathetic than I'd expected and happy to prescribe me some medication. So glad I did, it's really helped!

On the subject of food I've had buttered toast, two coconut macaroons, half a bag of jellybeans, a veggie sausage sandwich, a couple of biscuits, toad in the hole and lots of orange juice. My cravings are all about sweets and stodge I think!

Glad it's not just me on the food front! Feel very virtuous having just polished off a bowl of raspberries not going to mention the huge bar of chocolate I had earlier

Hope you feel better soon BabyButton2 and Rainy!

Not bought anything yet, waiting to see how tomorrow's scan goes...

pretzelpieces · 07/08/2017 22:44

babybutton that sounds really tough. Definitely see your GP as medication can help. Elodie is a lovely name.

Good luck with the scan tomorrow emily.

I tried to get added to the fb group but it didn't work for some reason. Has anyone else had problems? I definitely used the email address I'm registered with on there. Technical issue or fb being temperamental I'm assuming.

BabyButton2 · 07/08/2017 23:02

@RainyDayBear yes I've been taking the strongest medication they can give since 6 weeks. It definitely helps as I don't be sick as often each day. I trialled not taking them last week to see if the sickness had eased but I went back to being sick every half hour so back on the tablets. Last time I spent a lot of time in hospital on the intravenous antisickness but I've managed to dodge the hospital this time so far :-) so lots of positives.

I love all of the names you are all thinking of.

@pretzelpieces how do you find the facebook group? Is it one thats been set up by someone on here? X

Just read earlier posts about baby movement. I haven't felt anything yet but I was about 23 weeks before I felt flutters with my little boy. Xx

pretzelpieces · 07/08/2017 23:05

Oh no babybutton that sounds awful! I messaged pinkandwhite, she posted up thread about having set up a FB group. She's probably been inundated with requests!

GingerRogers84 · 08/08/2017 13:52

I thought my sickness had diminished only for me to retch violently when I was serving up a home made fish pie the other night. 😷
Still can't stand the smell of coffee or wine but am feeling a lot better in general and I'm at 14 weeks now.
Hold in there ladies, I think it must be different for everyone.

EmilyK83 · 08/08/2017 14:02

For those not on the FB group...had my dating scan today, one very wriggly baby! All looking good, and revised due date of Feb 12th - I feel so much happier now!

Ava1985 · 08/08/2017 14:06

Hello ladies

ginger sympathy from me over here as I'm still spewing too 😫 Bit behind you at 12+5 and sick this morning with that feeling of nausea lingering!

Hope all you ladies are doing well and how exciting that some have reported episodes of possible movement/kicks Grin I can't wait for that stage!

Also obviously showing now too Shock I'm quite slim naturally so the belly sticks out Grin

X

Ava1985 · 08/08/2017 14:07

Quite slim naturally but lacking in boob department unless preg/breast feeding 😂 Wish i had some more curves!

TriJo · 08/08/2017 14:46

4 sessions in 3 days at the Olympic stadium for the athletics, going again tonight and sweet baby jesus I just want to sleep. I am exhausted. DH took our son out shopping with the inlaws this morning and I've been putting the feet up though.

13+1 and definitely felt movement in the last 2-3 days. Feels exactly the same as the first flutters last time, little tickles in the sides of the bump (placenta is anterior again).

Sah2241 · 08/08/2017 16:22

Lol @TriJo, when I first read your post I thought you were actually doing some sort of fitness sessions at the Olympic stadium until I realised you were spectating! I guess even that is exhausting in our delicate condition 😉

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 08/08/2017 20:03

Oh no Ginger, I hope this nausea passes soon. How miserable. I hope everyone else who feels rough starts feeling better soon!

Yay EmilyK - great news! So pleased it went well Smile.

I had my first appointment with the consultant today (I'm high risk/consultant-led because of previous c section). She was lovely. None of it feels real though. Now and again I get a bit of retching, but apart from that I just don't feel pregnant at all. It makes me so worried Sad. We have to wait until Monday for the dating scan and screening, which just feels like a lifetime away!

pretzelpieces · 08/08/2017 22:47

Congratulations on the scan emily

Sorry to those still feeling sick. I have periods of feeling quite nauseous but it's not constant any more thank goodness. Hope you're all feeling better soon.

I've been feeling movements this week. When I lay down in bed to go to sleep I notice it. Much earlier than I felt it last time so I'm wondering if I don't have an anterior placenta (I did last time) or if it's just because I recognise the feeling whereas last time was my first.

lookatthemoon · 09/08/2017 00:05

Congrats Emily on scan. I had a scan at 14 weeks yesterday (only coz there was a doctor visiting where we live). Feel so relieved. Am now officially in 2nd trimester with a healthy baby. I told all my close friends and wider family afterwards. Feels very real now.

I also ate a really healthy dinner last night followed almost immediately by a bowl of cocoa pops AND a bowl of honey stars so I'm pretty sure that means I am def pregnant ...

EricaSeas · 09/08/2017 13:24

Hi there!

Please can I join you ladies? I'm 13 weeks today and this is my 3rd baby (2nd pregnancy), my DTs are nearly 3. I've struggled with sickness so far but think it's abating a bit now and thoroughly looking forward to entering that blissful second trimester... Ha! I had my 12 week scan two days ago but still feeling quite nervous as I had a complicated pregnancy and birth with DTs, all looks ok though.

Hope you're all doing well, I'll go back and read now so I'm not totally clueless!

E

Emwahs · 09/08/2017 21:53

Welcome erica hope all is good with you.

I borrowed my sisters doppler today and got to hear the heartbeat again, so lovely to hear. Finally starting to get over all the bad side effects, thankfully the second trimester is being kind to me!

mintfrog · 09/08/2017 21:59

Hullo, can I join too? I lurked here a bit a few weeks ago but then had to stop because my anxiety went a bit haywire. I had a good scan yesterday so that has helped a bit, have a new EDD of 12th Feb and trying to stay positive!

Not sure if my nausea is coming from morning sickness or the lovely iron tablets or the anxiety - probably a mix of all three!

RainyDayBear · 10/08/2017 08:29

Welcome new folk Smile

I thought my morning sickness was improving, so started to cut down on my medication. Then threw up ALL the pizza we had for dinner last night. Bleh! I'm 13+3, so it really should be getting better at this stage.

Can't wait to get past this, I remember feeling amazing in the second trimester last time, it was a happy, glowing time! Definitely not feeling the glow currently!

Welcome Erica and mint - and thanks for the congrats everyone! Feeling more relieved after that scan!

Hope you feel better soon Rainy, doesn't sound nice at all.

My nausea HAD gone, back with a vengeance this morning!!!

Loxy4527 · 10/08/2017 10:51

Has anyone, or does anyone plan to sing lullabies to their babies?

When I was little, my nan used to sing to me, I have fond memories of her doing that. She's become very unwell recently and it's become clear that she won't be around when the baby is due sadly.

It occurred to me that I don't really know many lullabies so I've tasked myself with learning at least two or three that I can sing to the baby when they arrive.

EricaSeas · 10/08/2017 11:27

What a lovely idea Loxy, and a really special way to remember and honour your nan, sorry to hear she's been unwell. I've always sung to/with/around DTs but I'm one of those annoying people that sings a lot around the house anyway. When they were tiny I used to mix up reading stories in a soft voice with quietly singing to help them settle. Now we pretty much just sing along to Disney songs or nursery rhymes in the car and at home, which can be totally infuriating.

Is anyone having trouble with insomnia? I'm shattered today.

pretzelpieces · 10/08/2017 11:29

Hello erica and mint

That's lovely look, glad you're feeling more reassured now.

emwahs good to hear you're feeling better.

I've sprung a bump quite early and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable already. That doesn't bode well! Have got my pregnancy pillow out already!
