I'm currently feeding George and just heard a poonami explode in his nappy 😳

He's been a bit unsettled during the night and I've only really had 2 hours of sleep so far... I'm guessing he may have had a tummy ache by the noise that just came from down there! Hopefully I will change him once he's finished feeding and he will settle nicely so mama can have more sleep!

I must say... it does feel amazing not to have heartburn anymore.

I know I shouldnt bother yet, but I weighed myself yesterday. I've lost a stone since George was born (1 week and 1 day) which means only 1 more stone to lose to my Orr preggo weight. Obvs I'm breast feeding so not actively trying to lose anything. Was pretty chuffed with that though.

Algebraic · 12/07/2017 10:08

@LuciBee231015 oh no! 🙈 how bad was it? That's great, I'm hoping something similar happens for me as I'm up 2.5 stone now - oops! I'm sure your last stone will melt off with all the breastfeeding.

Holz657 · 12/07/2017 10:10

Hope everyone is doing well! So lovely seeing all the little July babies 😍 I'm still waiting, not due for 2 weeks. So uncomfortable now!!! Did anyone else's heartburn come back at 37 weeks? Mines is back with a vengeance!! X

Flappergirl86 · 12/07/2017 10:31

notyetthere I can't imagine how scary that must have been at first. Sounds like you're being a total bad ass about it though so I'm sure you'll be dropping some choice facial expressions again soon. Big love xx

rhodes2015 · 12/07/2017 10:32

I'm still waiting too holz I'm a week overdue today.
Saw midwife yesterday who booked my induction for a week today.
Really hope baby comes before!

Holz657 · 12/07/2017 10:56

Oh Rhodes I hope so!! I keep having these dreams I'm going to need to be induced. I have an appointment on the 27th (day before due date) midwife said if nothing happened by then she can do a sweep.

ButterflyFree · 12/07/2017 12:25

Just wanted to update you with some good news re: DH - he's been graded as Level 5 (office-based national service) and they told him he won't be needed in August! They may call him up sometime during the next 3 years. But it will be guaranteed office-based rather than out in the field, and no lockdown period in the military base!!

Sooo we are back to the original plan 😁 He'll travel to Hungary with his teammates on 15th and be based there for training until mid-August. As soon as I go into labour his coach will allow him to make the short flight to London for a few days. And once the training camp is finished, instead of flying back to Dubai with the team, he'll come to us in London and then we can fly back home as three ❤️

I'm beyond relieved and happy!!!!! Thank you all for being so supportive through my emotional meltdown over the past 3 weeks. You really helped me through it.

Littlejayx · 12/07/2017 12:34

It's due day! Smile

I'm feeling like the time is quite near, had a sweep yesterday and (may be tmi) lost the plug and am so ready! Anyone gone into labour within two days of the sweep? If not induction on Tuesday

rhodes2015 · 12/07/2017 12:51

butterfly Fantastic news! So happy for you!

Algebraic · 12/07/2017 12:59

Yay @ButterflyFree that is the best news!!!!

Spindelina · 12/07/2017 13:27

butterfly that is amazing news.

Littlejay with DD I had a sweep at 41+1, which set of some pretty strong BH, but they tailed off after a few hours. Another one at 41+4 (which was a lot more brutal - bled quite a lot) set of BH which didn't tail off, and DD was born about 30 hours later.

Twixes · 12/07/2017 13:40

@ButterflyFree that's great news! What a relief! So delighted for you.

@mynameisntLinda maybe asking him to help would be a good idea. I've found when I give her attention he acts up a bit more, thankfully all she does is sleep and eat so the majority of the time he doesn't notice her.

I'm a week pp and haven't been brave enough to weigh myself. I don't think I'm anywhere near pre-preg weight yet as I tried to get into a loose dress with buttons down the front that I wore til about 17 weeks and I couldn't close it! 😮 maternity leggings it is then...I'm pretty sure I was in my 'fat' jeans at 10 days pp with DS but with a CS this time and a lot of chocolate and ice cream eaten I'd say I've a way to go

mynameisntLinda · 12/07/2017 13:59

@twixes my friend (who isnt an only child like me and dh) bought ds a little doll. So hes been looking after ot and weve read a couple of books about babies to try and plant the seed as to whats arriving lol. Not sure how old yours is, ours is only 2.
I defo wouldn't even entertain getting in anything pre preg or even weighing myself until at least 6 weeks. Can take that long just for your uterus to shrink i think.
Took me more like 12 months lol but i did put a lot of weight on and also did zero effort to shift it. When i finally got to pre preg weight i got preggo lol

Flappergirl86 · 12/07/2017 14:35

Congrats butterfly! What a relief! I'll bet knowing that moves things along a bit for you, they say anxiety can drag out gestation.

littlejay I was early but baby came within a day of me losing my plug so that was a good indicator for me.

X

Twixes · 12/07/2017 14:45

A doll is a good idea @mynameisntLinda , I think I'll get one tomorrow. He's only 20 months so it's difficult to know what he understands at this stage but worth a go Smile

Dun dun DUNNNN I just weighed myself. Bad idea. I'm a stone and a half heavier than pre-preg. Going to try to forget about it for now and let myself heal from the section. In 6 weeks I'll be out stomping the pavements with the pram. I haven't caved on bf yet and boobs doing well so with EBF that'll help too :)

Notyetthere · 12/07/2017 14:48

Yay! finally some normal breastfed 'yellow poo' in the last few nappies. Phew! I didnt anticipate that I would be so obsessed with poo! 🤣
No more colief. That's a tenner wasted.

Butterfly that is very good news. I bet now that all is sorted with dh your oxytocin levels rise and labour kicks in. That seems to be what happened to me. I couldn't relax until I had been to London to see my mum, got my hair done and finished the savoury batch cooking. Once I came back home, contractions started within 36hrs.

I haven't weighed myself yet but I am able to fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes. I, however, was already with a high bmi before I got pregnant and then lost a stone during 1st tri sickness. I think 1wk before baby arrived I had put on 4kg from the weight I had registered at booking in appointment at 8wks pregnant. Now I'm breastfeeding, I am eating a lot and not the best food too so not safe yet. Now that things are settling down a bit, I'm not too overwhelmed, I might work on a meal/snack plan to ensure its all healthy. I didn't have much inspiration as to what to put in my Tesco delivery basket so a little plan might be in order.

Notyetthere · 12/07/2017 14:55

Cross post with Flapper. Same thinking about things moving along for Butterfly

Littlejay, like Flapper, once I lost my plug, baby arrived 48hrs later at 38+5.

Algebraic · 12/07/2017 14:56

@Notyetthere I cook a lot with Quorn because it's low in fat and generally DH and I don't eat a lot of meat. I find you can eat a lot more of it which works for me as I am rubbish with small portions. I need a massive plate of dinner! So I'll do spag bol, fajitas, chilli, coconut curries.
I was half a stone overweight before pregnancy so really I'll have 3 to lose at the end of all of this. Eek!

Twixes · 12/07/2017 15:04

@Notyetthere I found colief and infacol pretty much useless :( good to hear the poos are back on track. The poo obsession will probably not go anywhere soon, I still obsess about DS's bowel movements nearly two years later!

HaichM · 12/07/2017 15:49

Littlejay: I had DS 27 hours after losing my plug so fingers crossed

Woo for poo Not. If you're right about the stress then I may go into labour this weekend after finally getting the crib, seeing the BF team so I'm more prepared for when DC2 arrives and having my hair done.

Woo for you too Butterfly. I am so happy you've had such good news.

Hope everyone still waiting is hanging on. I'm seriously fed up of BH now and I'm 37+1. Had them on and off since 4am and when I'm having them, their strong and frequent. This is the 3rd week of BH and I hope I don't have too much more but that's probably wishful thinking

Lallypopstick · 12/07/2017 19:30

Thrilled for you @ButterflyFree it's been such a rollercoaster! How long is it until due date for you? Now that the stress of not knowing has gone, you might be relaxed enough for baby to come!

Last day at work tomorrow for me. In some ways, I'm so done, but on the other hand I feel like I could keep going a bit longer to take my mind off waiting for labour signs. I've had no BH at all so my first contraction will be a real surprise.

Lambchop14 · 12/07/2017 21:28

Hi, is it too late to join this group? I'm expecting my second baby on 30th July but have a section booked for 25th July.

Twixes · 12/07/2017 22:13

Of course not @Lambchop14 welcome Smile

ButterflyFree · 12/07/2017 22:21

Thanks all... And, as if by magic... The happy hormones caused my waters to go at 5:45pm!!!

Not feeling any contractions yet, but I called my midwife to tell her about my waters and she asked me to come in for monitoring. Confirmed no infection in the waters (they're clear anyway) and both baby and I were happy and healthy on the CTG for an hour - in fact it is showing that I'm having mild contractions already. So I'm back home now, and contractions may well ramp up spontaneously overnight but if they don't then I'll need to be induced by around 6pm.

DH will be landing in London from Dubai tomorrow, and his coach has approved for him to stay until next Thursday and then fly directly from London to meet up with the team in Europe. It's like a fairytale!!!! I'm 37+4.

glitterglitters · 12/07/2017 22:37

Exciting @ButterflyFree make sure eat, drink and rest up!!!

Of course not @Lambchop14 Smilenot long to go now!
