Awesome news butterfly -hope you can hang on til Daddy is back to be with you x

Algebraic · 12/07/2017 23:53

Oh wow @ButterflyFree if that's not proof your body was holding out then I don't know what is! Hope you manage some sleep before it all kicks off! X

Lallypopstick · 13/07/2017 00:20

Just call me psychic ButterflyFree! Grin Good luck!

LuciBee231015 · 13/07/2017 01:26

I'm back to cluster feeding tonight, feeling very tired!

@butterfly wonderful news!

Good luck to all the ladies in waiting. My first sweep made me lose my plug bit that was about it. I had another one a week later and went into labour about 48 hours after that one. I was 41+2 by that stage though so no idea if it was the second sweep or not that kicked it off.

nat2311 · 13/07/2017 04:54

Hey sorry for the silence! After 3 traumatic days of being induced baby was born at 7.56 last night weighing 7ib8 by emergency Caesarean! We both have infections which is probably the cause of the reduced movements!

Will post full story later - trying to catch up with you all!

Good luck @ButterflyFree!!

Ps I know I'm biased but I don't think I've ever seen something so perfect!

Oh @nat2311 congratulations. Sorry you've both had such a rough time of it. Sad

Sending lots of get better soon vibes your way x

Mawita · 13/07/2017 05:35

Very excited for youb@butterflyfree can't wait to hear how it all goes.

Goodwork @nat2311 wishing you a speedy recovery sounds like you went through the mill!
Are almost all the babies here? How many more are we waiting for?

LuciBee231015 · 13/07/2017 06:37

Congrats @nat2311 !

Spindelina · 13/07/2017 06:49

Congratulations, nat - sounds like you deserve a rest!

Good luck butterfly! Hope it happens soon.

Mawita I'm still waiting! 40+2. Next midwife appointment next Tues, so will discuss options then. For now, I'm enjoying a break from work.

CatRash · 13/07/2017 07:44

Good luck @ButterflyFree - hope all goes smoothly!

Congratulations @Nat2311- sorry to hear about the problems but hope you both make a speedy recovery.

I'm still waiting @Mawita but I'm not due for another 2 weeks yet so I'm not really 'waiting' per say. I think it'll be an August baby anyway.

How's everyone doing re. stretchmarks? I look like a map....like I'm starting to think if I study my stomach and follow it I might actually find treasure somewhere. I'm also concerned this means I have terribly unstretchy skin and I'm going to rip myself a new a-hole...

ButterflyFree · 13/07/2017 08:10

Congratulations @nat2311 😍🎉 Sorry to hear you had a gruelling few days (and I guess a failed induction...?) - hope the infection clears up soon for you and baby.

I managed to get about 5 hours' sleep and have woken up still without any hint of a contraction... 15hrs since waters broke... 10hrs until they would want to induce me... DH is on his way... what's the betting my contractions start once he lands?! Baby Z clearly has a strong bond with his father already, waiting around for him like this 😂

Lallypopstick · 13/07/2017 08:13

Congratulations Nat looking forward to hearing your story later.

Cat I have a lot of stretchmarks on my lower stomach but weirdly I'm not too bothered about them at the moment. Probably will be when my stomach is wrinkled and loose though, once the baby is out of there.

MrsMingo · 13/07/2017 08:21

So glad that things are finally working out for you @butterflyfree

I've been getting very jealous of all you ladies who have finally got to meet your new bundles of joy.

My due date is tomorrow but I have the feeling I will be going well over. Not one sign yet. I'm a bit of a control freak so I'm not dealing particularly well with all the not knowing. I like to plan.

glitterglitters · 13/07/2017 08:32

lol I'm like rhat@MrsMingo I can't abide lateness either 😂

Both my dd were late as well 🙈

ButterflyFree · 13/07/2017 08:35

Don't hate me @CatRash but I don't have any stretch marks whatsoever 🙈 I've been applying BioOil to my tummy religiously twice a day since very early on in the pregnancy, so that may have helped... but I think it's more likely a genetic blessing, as my mother and grandmother both never got stretch marks either.

I've developed pregnancy cellulite on my thighs in the past few weeks though!! Despite my best efforts with prenatal pilates, swimming, walking... 😩

MrsMingo · 13/07/2017 08:40

At least I'm not the only one @glitterglitters. My husband calls it crazy but high functioning. I am just hoping to avoid an induction.

@catrash I have managed to get through this entire pregnancy without a stretchmark. The only part of my stomach that looks unsightly is where my tummt button piercing use to be, the scar has stretched.

Lambchop14 · 13/07/2017 08:42

Thanks for welcoming me to your group! Congrats to those that have delivered their babies already and good luck to those in labour :) Do you have a Facebook group on the go? I'm not used to using mumsnet. Is there a way to keep up to date on this thread without searching for the thread each time? How many people are still waiting on their babies? How many are in their group?

Lambchop14 · 13/07/2017 08:43

Ps sorry for all the questions!! Lol

mynameisntLinda · 13/07/2017 08:54

@lambchop14 send me a message with your name and ill find you on facebook and add you to the group. Theres 30 of us on facebook and a lot of babies here already (im still waiting though)
Now that youve commented on the threas you should get an email when someone posts or mentions you which makes it easier to find (im not a massive user of mn either)

@catrash only got 3 or 4 new stretch marks from what i can see but i was covered in them first time round. My belly button also pokes out which i find really gross and it feels itchy too. I think thats because the skin is so thin from where i used to have it pierced. Hope it holds together Confused

Weighed myself now just coz you lot did. Put on 1lb in 2 weeks so at least im not loosing now. Thats 1stn 4 over all since pre preg which is much better than my previous 3 and a half stone i out on with ds.
He soaked through his nappy this morning...whilst in our bed so now im trying to clean the mattress. It was on dhs side though so im not all that bothered haha

Lambchop14 · 13/07/2017 09:47

Thank you mynameisntLinda. I've sent you a message with my name. When are you due? Is this your first? I'm expecting my second. I have a 3year old girl and expecting a boy. I'm getting delivered early though.

glitterglitters · 13/07/2017 09:58

Stretch mark wise, let's just say my days of skimpy bikinis are over 😂🙌🏼👙

Algebraic · 13/07/2017 10:02

Oh @nat2311 sorry to hear you both have infections but congrats on baby!

@Mawita I'm still waiting too, baby due next Weds. Have a sweep booked in for then.

@CatRash I haven't got any on my tummy but do have lots of new ones on the side of my bum, a couple creeping up the hips and interestingly now on my inner thighs?! I did feel that area was getting huge... they aren't like other stretch marks I've had though, more like dots than long lines.

TinklingTheIvories · 13/07/2017 11:39

My stretch marks are insane. I'm putting it down to the baby having a growth spurt and getting too big really. I used bio oil but it did nothing for me. I'm not bothered by them at the moment, will see how I feel when everything's gone back to normal with my belly.

Had a lack of movement today, just about to call maternity unit when little one decided to start rolling around in there. Must've just been having a long nap. Still, going to keep an eye on movements today and if it happens again (normally a pretty good wriggler) then I'll call.

mynameisntLinda · 13/07/2017 11:42

@lambchop14 ive replied, think i found you on fb.
This is my second. Ds is 2 and newby is a girl. Officially due on sunday but i dont believe in due dates and told the family im due 28th july lol

Mw appointment today but they wont offer a sweep because im not 40 weeks yet. Killing time crocheting and batch cooking...although cba standing in the kitchen so havwnt started the soup or the potatoe bake yet.

@glitterglitters ah get the bikini on anyway!

Twixes · 13/07/2017 11:50

@ButterflyFree that's such perfect timing, delighted for you!

@nat2311 congratulations! Wishing you a speedy recovery
