HaichM · 06/07/2017 15:03

Congratulations glitters. Another gorgeous baby

Flappergirl86 · 06/07/2017 15:33

Bloody hell! Haven't checked in for a little while and you've all gone and done a baby! Super cute collection of tiny people ladies, you must all be so proud! They're all pure catalogue babies as well! Beautiful! Xx

Lallypopstick · 06/07/2017 16:41

Two perfect babies! Congratulations Glitter and Twixes

Wonder who will be next?!

ButterflyFree · 06/07/2017 16:54

"You've all gone and done a baby" 🤣😂 @Flappergirl86 that really made me laugh.

All these little cuties are making me really impatient to meet mine now!! Just had my 37 week midwife appointment (I'm 36+5) and there's nothing really to report - she described it as a 'textbook perfect pregnancy' so that's great news. He's grown 1cm since last week and head is now 4/5 engaged (was 3/5 seven days ago) so everything is moving in the right direction. Haven't been having any signs of labour though - no BH or anything. Not that I'm complaining!

mynameisntLinda · 06/07/2017 17:30

@algebraic did they not mark it on your growth chart in your green notes? You can estimate weight from that.

Congrats twixes and glitters lobing the squishy baby pics

Twixes · 06/07/2017 17:37

Thanks girls for all your well wishes. Can't get over how little the pain is from the section. Touchwood this continues! She's feeding away great but my nipples are starting to hurt a little. She's so tiny I'm not sure the nipple shields are any use...they might've given her wind. I'll persist all the same!

@glitterglitters congrats on baby Cerys, love that name :) well done mama

Looking forward to some more updates!

Notyetthere · 06/07/2017 19:36

Twixes and Glitters congratulations! Finally July babies agog. Exciting I can't wait for more baby news.

Notyetthere · 06/07/2017 19:50

Twixes from my own past experience in the last 2 weeks, nipple shields have enabled me to continue breastfeeding. By day 3 my nipples were on fire every time she latched on that SIL popped into boots and bought me their own make. I have since got the medela shields and they seem to be a better fit. I sometimes don't use the shields and I can go a whole day without them but then nipples are not toughened yet. As for wind, mine had wind from the beginning and I dont see how a shield would increase it. It works on creating a vacuum so I would not expect more than normal. I found that the food I eat will increase/decrease a windy tummy. Basically eating 2 while pineapples 4days postpartum just because they were too ripe and needed to eaten or thrown am away wasn't a great idea😂; it made for some interesting poo.

Effy1990 · 06/07/2017 20:12

Just had my 39 week midwife appointment and in the last 2 weeks the baby has gone from being nowhere near engaged to being 2/5ths palpable. Along with the cramps and backache am hoping it won't be too long until the baby makes an appearence.

Twixes · 06/07/2017 20:59

Yeah I used them a lot with DS but she's a good bit smaller than him so it's hard to tell if that makes a difference. The used I've always used are Nuk ones, I'll keep an eye out for other brands.

I'm supposed to be in hospital for 5 nights, not sure I'll be able to stay in that long, think I might be a bit bored in here for that long Confused

CatRash · 06/07/2017 21:29

Congratulations @Twixes and @Glitterglitters - two beautiful baby girls!!!! Well done to both of you - I hope you have swift recoveries.

Hope everything is ok with LuciBee - been very quiet!

I have my last day at work tomorrow before starting maternity leave. I'm so busy though and have so much to do I know it's going to be mega stressful so not looking forward to it!!

I am, however, looking forward to maternity leave!!

HaichM · 06/07/2017 22:57

Good luck for tomorow Cat. Try not to stress too much

glitterglitters · 07/07/2017 01:51

Thanks everybody for your lovely words. I'm currently pinned down in cluster feeding. I thought she would at least wait till 3 days old to do this ShockConfused

Trying to keep myself awake. Gahhh

glitterglitters · 07/07/2017 09:03

Good luck today @AnnaL82 x

Twixes · 07/07/2017 09:35

Best of luck @AnnaL82

The cluster feeding hasn't started for me yet but I'm definitely pinned down, she starts squeaking if I put her in her crib...oh well, just means more cuddles for me!

Gooseygoosey12345 · 07/07/2017 09:49

Getting very frustrated over here. Had lots of pain and contractions yesterday. Multiple bms and weeing every 5 minutes. Nauseous, not eating not sleeping. Today... nothing! Just pain. So frustrating! How is everyone else feeling?

Twixes · 07/07/2017 09:59

Argh to the false starts @Gooseygoosey12345

@LuciBee231015 has been very quiet. I really hope she's ok!

Flappergirl86 · 07/07/2017 10:16

I hear you Goosey -I was in agony with cramps / period pains and diarrhea last night thinking it had to be the start of something and this morning: zilch. Pain always seems worse at night.

I'm being induced on 18th cos I've got Gestational diabetes so at least there's an end in sight!

glitters you must be relieved that she's feeding even if it is exhausting you. Loads of people have told me they really struggled to BF and the midwives gave them a hard time for it. Xx

glitterglitters · 07/07/2017 10:17

Oh @Gooseygoosey12345 I definitely feel you on the false starts. Feels like you're not getting anywhere. Hang in there!!! They will come out.

Definite baptism of fire last night! ShockConfused

11pm till 6am mixture of feeding, wind and screaming her lungs out. Hot night as well so we had to have the windows open. Bet our neighbours love us 🙈🙈🙈🙈

She's now snoozing and I'm with the toddler. Managed to get my head down for a few hours and feel good. Dh is sleeping as we have to drive to the hospital later for midwife. Why can't they come to us!! Sob

Also cannot get over how different she is to her sister already. She hated anything that used to calm other dd down. This will be fun GrinGrinGrin

glitterglitters · 07/07/2017 10:21

Yes very relived though still early days! Still prepared for any situation though.

I think my milk might be coming in already as well. I was very fortunate it was straightforward with my eldest
which has given me a lot of a confidence boost.

My best friend is a peer supporter too and I was in some awesome Facebook groups.

Very sore now (to be expected as she has such a weeny mouth and is still learning) but I'll get them to double check latch and tongue as well today.

mynameisntLinda · 07/07/2017 10:31

@glitterglitters you have to go see the midwife??? F that. Ours come to is the day after birth amd then visit every few days or whatever over the first month, i thought that was standard. With the problems i had after birth i wouldnt have wanted to get in a car the day after thats for sure lol

glitterglitters · 07/07/2017 10:33

I know right? They don't even know where half my appointments are as I ended up at the other MLU. Confused
