I've been feeling vile and nauseated for a few weeks on and off I'm afraid @Effy1990 I think it's to do with a hormone surge towards the end (I'm also spotty, emotional and my nails are bending).

I'm 2 days overdue now as well with regular BH. It could be any time really for you. They're all good indicators but still "how long is a piece of string" really.

Sorry Sad

rhodes2015 · 05/07/2017 13:45

Thanks glitter I'm definitely going to have a look into that now!
I think I thought I was a bit of a professional at internals as I've had laser treatment twice on my cervix, big difference was I had local anaesthetic for them Grin

rhodes2015 · 05/07/2017 13:49

effy yes I had nausea all yesterday, I didn't know if it was because it had gone warm here again though! I've also had headache and a blocked nose.... just generally feeling a bit shitty again really.

glitterglitters · 05/07/2017 13:53

I'd also recommend the Kimmy Schmidt count to 5 method as well 😂

Effy1990 · 05/07/2017 13:58

Damn! Knew signs were that its getting closer, but was hoping for answers such as labour started within a few days. Hate this not knowing.

glitterglitters · 05/07/2017 14:02

It's like waiting at the airport for a person to get off the plan except you don't know who they are, which plane or even when they're turning up.

I've had a few "signs" of impending labour and for every article I read about it being "within 24 hours" I read 3 others that say "nothing happened and I was induced"

Confused

Been having some gnarly contractions the last 24 hours, proper take my breath away jobbies but no consistency with them whatsoever. Sad

Effy1990 · 05/07/2017 14:06

I like the analogy! Not that is very comforting.

Hope your contractions pick up, and you have your little one soon. I just want some to kick in.

glitterglitters · 05/07/2017 14:07

Thanks. All I want to do is go stomping up and down the seafront and try and shake em out 😂

Algebraic · 05/07/2017 21:28

I had my growth scan today and baby is growing on track. Average for head size, 45th percentile but a chubby belly, bless, on the 89th! Disappointed they didn't give me a weight estimate though! I tried to look it up on a weight estimate calculator but they didn't give me the BPD measurement so seems I can't work it out.
Glucose tolerance test on Friday so then I'll see if I've got GD and whether I need to change any plans.
It's all quiet from @LuciBee231015 isn't it! I wonder if she has gone into labour.

HaichM · 05/07/2017 21:41

Algebraic: glad everything's on track. That must be such a relief. Hope all goes well with the glucose test on Friday.

I had my 36 week check yesterday and everything was good but the walk home was awful. Have had back ache of varying intensities since so that's about 30 hours now. Been having bouts of braxton hicks as well some really strong - though has anyone else experienced BH strength changing depending on the position you are in? Reclining on the sofa seems to focus things in my back and slightly less intense but if I'm stood up or sat up...

Twixes · 06/07/2017 09:33

Hi girls, hope you're all well.

Had my little girl yesterday, 6lbs 10oz and she's perfect! Feeding going well so far and I've been cuddling her constantly. I'm on cloud 9 :)

Congratulations @Twixes she's beautiful, and so stylish too! 😍💚💕

TinklingTheIvories · 06/07/2017 11:49

@Twixes lovely baby! Congratulations!!

Just got back from the hospital, I'm all booked in for induction on 17th, when I'll be 39+1.

Spoke to the midwife about the process (as consultant didn't seem to know what to do!) and I'm happy with what's going to happen now. Feel quite chilled about it all.

Need to pack a longer stay bag as I may be in for a while, but at least we know! DH also trying to get a camping mat so that he can stay and not have to sleep on a chair.

glitterglitters · 06/07/2017 11:54

Just waiting to be discharged!

Waters went at 1am, contractions went mad by 2:30am, got to midwife led unit at 4am. Was 4cm when I got in the pool at 5:20am.

Cerys was born at 6:06am in the pool.

A whopping 9lbs 5oz. (My fanjo hurts)

Has already fed three times 😂

So beaten our 11 hours with 8! Grin

I'm knackered now.

Effy1990 · 06/07/2017 11:59

Congratulations glitters at last she has arrived! Glad you were able to use the MLU.

glitterglitters · 06/07/2017 12:03

Lol it ended up being the big hospital one as they couldn't rally the midwives to open the other one.

All that drama and it was fine. I'm such a plank 😂👌🏼

ButterflyFree · 06/07/2017 12:11

Many congratulations @glitterglitters ❤️ Cerys is a beauty

rhodes2015 · 06/07/2017 13:29
