Oh my goodness!! Little biker bubbles ♥️♥️

CheesecakeAddict · 07/07/2017 17:01

Oh gosh that's so exciting!

glastogal · 07/07/2017 17:18

It's just amazing what you can see on these scans.. brain, spine, internal organs!! That's a proper little human and no mistake Grin

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 07/07/2017 17:39

Indeed! It was amazing to see him today ☺️ proper little biker 💙

glitteryvibes · 07/07/2017 19:17

scots that's so odd re the toxo testing, I just asked for it as I'm high risk because of my job and they had no problem, neither has anyone else I know in my profession that's asked for it. I am negative though which is annoying as if you have already had it you can't contract it again, so despite lambing many sheep and working with cats for years my personal hygiene may just be a little too good. On the plus side if I've not managed to get it up to now the chance of getting it while pregnant is pretty low I'm sure.

Mrsbluebell17 · 07/07/2017 19:51

Hope you're feeling a bit better now cheesecake?

Biker that's an awesome pic! Glad your anomaly scan went well. I'm so nervous for ours in about two and a half weeks!

@Carley27 how did you get on today?

ScotsLamb · 07/07/2017 21:12

Glittery I have been a nail biter all my life so I was guessing that I would probably have got it when we had toxi at the farm a couple of years ago. If I was immune I wouldn't need to be so precious about not washing OH clothes or not touching the handle bars of the quad bike etc I think I'm going overboard but I don't know.

Also feeling completely lacking in symptoms and very unpregnany just now. Bit worried that something isn't right but I've got no reason to think that other than spending too much of my day thinking about it.

Mrsbluebell17 · 07/07/2017 21:24

Scots i know that feeling. I've got a bump but I don't feel like things have really changed for a while? Worried really. Hmm

Carley27 · 08/07/2017 06:08

Scots seems silly that they won't test you for toxo given your circumstances 😕

Sorry about the work issues cheesecake, but glad you're putting yourself first and taking care of yourself. Just a shame they're being arses!

Glad anomaly scan went well biker, and what an adorable scan pic.. the bubbles 😍

Great thanks bluebell! Baby was being stubborn so she jabbed away at it (which is quite alarming when you're not expecting it 😂) but no co-operation so we were sent for a 'brisk walk, a skip around if you can' (cue funny looks from passing motorists 😳). Second try much better and there were three very clear lines showing a little girl ☺️🎀 she was still struggling to get good pictures so she sent us to a nearby coffee shop for a drink (and a lemon tart) and when we went back for a third time saw the baby swallowing (tart was obviously a good choice!) and she took lots of pictures, gave us about 20. It was an amazing experience and I can't wait to start buying things now 😀 hope yours goes well today, look forward to hearing how you get on!

Oh and if anyone going for a scan is around the 16wk mark make sure you take your notes. My hospital don't give you a physical copy of the notes unless you're going away on holiday etc so I didn't have mine with me and was told legally the scan clinic could only give me an opinion on the gender if I was at least 16wks (I had assumed the 16wks was just so they'd developed enough!). As I didn't have notes with me I had nothing to confirm due date so she could only proceed if baby was measuring 16wks - thankfully was measuring 16+4.

Carley congrats on your girl, another team pink! You thought pink didn't you? I genuinely have no idea at all about today. Something keeps telling me pink but I think that's because there are loads of boys in our families and around us so I think surely one has to be a girl?! Haha.

Thanks for the comments re the notes, id read on the scan places website that I need to take my notes and I wondered why, but that makes sense. I've got them on the side ready for later today.

Are you off shopping now this weekend?? I know I'll be going shopping once we know the gender!!

CheesecakeAddict · 08/07/2017 10:21

So I broke and got a Doppler. I wish I hadn't because I can't hear anything. Sad just a week until the scan I just need to hold on tight

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 08/07/2017 11:04

Hold tight @CheesecakeAddict - we're all rooting for you 🙂

ScotsLamb · 08/07/2017 11:23

When's your scan bluebell ?

Oh the dreaded Doppler Cheesecake! Apparently there are lots of videos online for how to use them and what different things sound like. Your scan isn't long away. Count down the days.

I had a hellish night last night. Horrible diarrhoea with tummy pains. Tried to make myself feel better in the bath at 11pm but kept having to jump out for the loo. Ate a slice of bread and pint of juice then lay in bed. Awake nearly every hour until OH got up at 5am to go to work and then I had a horrible dream that I was in a car accident and the sonographer (with portable kit that was driving past the accident site) couldn't find a heartbeat. I woke up at 7am in a panic.
My OH keeps asking if I'm sure I still want 4 children (this is number one). I'm not sure I'm a fan of pregnancy yet!

Peachi82 · 08/07/2017 12:43

Hugs to everyone who's feeling down or sits on the worry bench!
I've decided against a doppler now after I asked here. I worry too if the little peach is growing and doing well, I just hope it does.

I have a terrible cold and my ligaments hurt like hell with every cough and sneeze. + there is hardly anything you can take for relief. Lemon tea, that's it.

Boyfriend is working today, so I'll drive to see my sister for the afternoon.

rebs1993 · 08/07/2017 12:44

Congrats on your girl @Carley27! Another team pink! Good luck today bluebell! We have our gender scan tomorrow, can't wait! ☺️ didn't know about notes!! Will defo take them tomorrow just incase.

CheesecakeAddict · 08/07/2017 12:49

However what might interest some is that Mothercare have a sale on at the moment. An entire breast pump, bottle and steriliser pack for £50

glastogal · 08/07/2017 13:15

Aw peachi I feel for you.. I'm just getting over a nasty cold!! I took regular hot lemon and honey drinks, saline nasal spray, paracetamol and a bit of Vicks vaporub. It was bloody miserable and it doesn't want to leave but it did suddenly get much better so I hope that happens for you soon FlowersFlowers

tuxedocat · 08/07/2017 13:46

Good luck bluebell for the gender scan

Cheesecake, try not to worry about the Doppler (easier said than done I know!) have you had a recent scan? At my 16w gender I was told my placenta was anterior so perhaps that might be a reason Flowers

What's everyone up to this weekend? I'm trying to restrain from baby boy anymore things as we have a house move before due date Shock

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 08/07/2017 15:15

Oooo good tip @CheesecakeAddict !

Good luck @Mrsbluebell17 - can't wait to hear the results!

@ScotsLamb GWS!

Congrats MrsB!

TaniaCC22 · 08/07/2017 19:43

Hi Everyone, I've just joined mumsnet, I'm 16 weeks on Monday (although a scan one Thursday measured baby at 16w1d so it may be early or a whopper!), I'm due Christmas Day and feeling quite well so far. I hope that everyone is feeling healthy and well 😊
