Not tired as such, just sort of wierd - like my brain can't slow down enouh to process anything properly. Am I making any sense??

Probably not.

Ho Hum

Should say "wired", not "weird", but I feel weird too - Sort of weird wired!!!?

It was your post that reminded me, it's been niggling at me for ages as I would normally have everything done by now.
Think it's some form of denial.

CaptainDippy · 19/03/2007 19:49

May be - or perhaps you're just big and fat and knackered and can't be arsed!!

OP posts:
Katy44 · 19/03/2007 19:50

Shh! I'm in denial about that too!

Emmymummy · 19/03/2007 19:51

Katy - due 25th and haven't packed a thing yet, although i know I should. Even though I'm planning a home birth, still think I should pack some stuff. And need to pack a bag for Em in case she needs to be whisked off in the middle of the night. Also very confused & in denial about this. Keep forgetting there's going to be a new baby soon.

CaptainDippy · 19/03/2007 20:09

So it's not just me then .....

OP posts:
Emmymummy · 19/03/2007 20:15

CD - noooo! Goodness only knows what I'll do if this baby decides to come early. What are you doing with the DDs when you go into labour?

liath · 19/03/2007 20:16

Due on 13th.

Bags packed? - Nope

Perineal massage? - . Probably ought to do some ladygardening but can't bring myself to delve down there.....

Pelvic floor exercises? - Don't make me laugh (I'll wet myself if you do....).

It's fair to say that we are pretty unprepared here. Did buy some cheap shower curtains in Ikea for the home birth, though.

Fanko · 19/03/2007 20:20

i packed my bag yesterday, just matthew's to do now.........

but i am due on 9th so was cutting it rather fine! 3 weeks to go todaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy

don't remember packing my bag properly last time, ended up taking about 4 bags of stuff i'd thrown in together, and he was 4 days late

Fanko · 19/03/2007 20:24

the massage has gone out of the window now, just not as much fun on your own

pelvic floor? mine gave up long ago, i can't feel it to exercise it anymore and the MW said it won't do much good til after the birth now anyway so i'm going with that

i do have the bonus of not being with matthew's dad cos he's having him, he still lives with his parents so there should be someone around, and his work have said he can dash off to collect matthew if he needs to, plus if it's during the easter hols my bro will be off college to sit with maatthew til his dad gets here, or nursery will take him if they have a slot that day. all a bit up in the air but at least with lots of plans i know i'll be covered

maveta · 19/03/2007 20:30

Thanks Fanko, you´re a sweetie, I´ll email you but will probably be tomorrow now. I now DEFINITELY need to find something over here that would be useful to someone so I can get this circle of favours flowing round in the opposite direction. Main problem is finding something useful/desirable that you guys don´t already have!! I WILL come up with something...

Katy44 - LOL - TWICE I have read your post as ´how are you getting on with....genital preparation´! LOL. I´m due 25th and have abandoned ideas of perineal massage, I can´t face it, it all sounds too hideous. The contents of the hospital bag are laid out in piles in the cot ready to be packed but missing bits and, importantly, not yet packed... I´ve told dh it´s his job Pelvic floors?? What are they??

WestCountryLass · 19/03/2007 20:39

1B3, my eyes are watering just looking at that picture of your belly

Runny, I think it was you, I also thought the end was nigh last night. Woke up at some ungodly hour with pains, led there for an hour and a half and in that time convinced myself 'this was it'. Got up and pottered around downstairs and they died off after two hours. Did have another spectacular appearance of mucus though

Oh, and when my midwife came to do my birthplan, she bought a birthpack, it was a box to put all the incineratable waste in, full of incos (a bit like big Pampers care mats) and stuff like that. With DD I didn't get anything in advance and they bought it all on the day.

IsabellyMoi, apart from last nights false labour nothing to report - no baby here yet! I will be more than happy to let iB3 go first after seeing her belly pics, but I think Liath is in with a fighting chance too

I was online last night and there are so many messages since it is impossible to keep up!

Fanko · 19/03/2007 20:39

does sunshine fit in an envelope

we have slushy wet snow, not fun

Bugmum · 19/03/2007 20:47

Due 22nd April, and another here who has hardly done a thing. Bought some random stuff. Packed nothing. Made some lists, none of which I have updated for weeks. Got a carpet in the nursery (after waiting in all day for it ). Am behaving as though still in the second trimester...

maveta · 19/03/2007 20:48

fanko - LOL - I´ll send you a big fat jiffy bag full of it.. postage should be pretty reasonable on that

Just heard from MIABT - all good, no news, just having trouble connecting to MN. Is asking after everyone and can´t believe (like all of us) that there are still NO. BABIES.!

Night girls x

CaptainDippy · 19/03/2007 20:48

Massaging my doo-dah - not bloody likely. Pelvic floor - huh??

MIL is coming round to look after DD's while I am having bubs - though I think I'd prefer for them to go to in-laws house as MIL is a walking disater area and I can't bear to imagine the chaos I'd come home to if she looked after them here ..... eeeeek!! (Heart sinking just even thinking about it....) We were living with them when I had DD2 and I came home to what I can only describe as the biggest fucking mess ('cuse language, but it WAS that bad!) on the planet ...... washing half-done EVERYWHERE, nappies (washable) all over the place - total choatic disaster. I am hyperventiling just thinking about it. NO - they seriously have to go over THERE while I am having this one ...... Just praying I go into labour during the day - don't relish the thought of moving them late at night.....

OP posts:
Fanko · 19/03/2007 20:49

dippy, have you heard anything of the easter swap yet?

Bugmum · 19/03/2007 20:50

Oh, and still not sure what I'm going to do with my poor little DS when I'm in labour

Bugmum · 19/03/2007 20:52

At nine o'clock on Channel 5, there's a programme about people who have 10 or more kids (one poor woman is apparently doing it alone after being widowed ). I am going to watch it, to make myself feel more in control

weeonion · 19/03/2007 20:52

LOL at genital preparations.

I attempted a tidy up of hte ladygarden in the bath earlier. given teh girth - i think it now resembles a senile old gent down there - inappropriate tufts, bald patches and sprouting areas. i will live in delusion i think.
pelvic floor - ahem! i make a token effort every now and then but not sure if it is my inner thigh, my ass of actual pelvic floor that moves - its all klinda melded into the one area...

and perineal massage! with the fear of tears and stitches firmly embeddded 0 i have attempted a well oiled fumble. cant reach round the belly and i dont think i would get gold stars for either technique or effort. dp is going to lend a hand 9or 2 thumbs!) later. bang goes hot hot loving in the future me thinks...

maveta - calm down kitten - on nappy site - go to AIOs section - it is the yellow flowery one

weeonion · 19/03/2007 21:01

typos - dp is not going to lend 9 or 2 thumbs. only 2!!!!!!!!!!

1becomes3 · 19/03/2007 21:03

Right I made it back in one HuGE lump, bit more goooo has been coming out, no bloody stuff or gushing water.
I am in some serious pain now, i know why i have my shopping delivered.
I have pushed my self to the limits today and if these babies don't appericiate it i am going to be one grumpy mummy tomorrow.

I am going to see if i can't jump DH just to really give it my best shot, don't think he will be having any of it though.

Anyway will most probably be back on tomorrow morning moaning that nothing has happened, so good night all, hope you all get some decent rest.

Fanko · 19/03/2007 21:11

just got an email to say my car seat has been dispatched

that's the last of my things i still need so i'll be completely ready for the baby

WestCountryLass · 19/03/2007 21:20

Good luck 1B3
