How was your last Monday?

weeonion · 19/03/2007 18:43

1B3 - you made me gasp and grin!!!!!! my cat looked startled. this could be it surely???? how far ahead of true action can it be with the show???? let us know if there was waters popping by the fresh veg??

on the baby show the other day - in a very flash american birthing centre - they put their ladies on 2 breast pumps at a time to induce them. 15 mins every hour. seemed to work and guess its a form of nipple stimulation to avoid dh's repetitive strain injury??

maveta - i told you before - you can expect me and my full kit ofr an outside birth. seems a fair exchange for a few few fleece liners!! i cut up my fleece jumpers today - a mountian of wipes and liners now.
also tempted to make a couple of wraps after forkign out for a spotty tots bots one?? found another site last night with these nappies that i really really really want - if i ever get the refund from a taking the piss MNer then i think i will invest in a couple of ti-dye ones. talking of which - as i speak - i have a couple of babygros and vests tie-dyeing in a pot. a harken back to my student days..........

hmmmmm - seems a tad complicated but off to make an amby nest sheet instead as they are 12quid a go and no way. birdie bump - did you get yours with the nest itself??

flump - WAYHEY!!! you are coming to join us! mid may will be fab - a thread picnic in the botanic gardens / the meadows do we think?? congrats on the sale - i know the pressue was on with the dates legally binding up here and all that!

GMM - glad you had a good weekend with your mum but i odnt know how you nmanage that drive with braxton hicks???

maveta · 19/03/2007 18:52

tell me tell me, which ones do you really really want?? Btw are you/ have you made your own boosters? Or are you planning to go the microfibre cloth route?

Fanko · 19/03/2007 18:52

my last monday was ok, my boss isn't in til friday so it's just me and my replacement. emptied the desk drawers, cleared out my email and sent everything personal to my home address. cleared the computer and generally tidied everything up!

Fanko · 19/03/2007 18:53

very of you WO, i would so love to have the inclination to make things for myself, i know i could if i put my mind to it, just requires so much effort!

Fanko · 19/03/2007 18:57

had some good news today - called tax credits to tell them about my mat leave, turns out that they carry on paying me, tho they only pay 6 months, haven't caught up with the new mat leave rules. they also continue to pay towards my childcare so i will be able to afford to keep matthew at nursery for a full session as well as his funded hours. will mean that i can do the shopping with just a baby instead of a baby and toddler!

not so good however was getting the tyres checked nd finding a have a bulge in one (where i've hit a kerb) and am very lucky it hasn't gone pop yet going in tomorrow to get them changed, not too bad £32 for each front tyre.

Fanko · 19/03/2007 18:58

fully caught up now, off to give matthew a bath, and attempt to get in with him

then be back later, with more drinks for katy to drink, sorry, i mean serve obviously

weeonion · 19/03/2007 19:01

maveta - i am going down the microfibre route - bought out my local ppound shop of pink and white cloths (2/ £1)

www.happynappydays.wahmall.co.uk/traderplus/ - scroll down to the yellow flowery one!!

Katy44 · 19/03/2007 19:07

Like I said - I did think that was odd! Some of them I hadn't even ordered!
To repay the favour, what can I get you?

Fanko · 19/03/2007 19:08

maveta before i forget, i got some maternity mats today! they're absorbant sheets to be used in late pregnancy/after birth to protect your bad/mattress from any leaks they came in a pack of 5 and i don't need that many so email me your address and i'll send you a couple if you want

they were only £3 for 5 in boots

Katy44 · 19/03/2007 19:08

Never going to get past the toenail one

Fanko · 19/03/2007 19:09

and Katy, just ice thanks

off to bath now, back in half hour

Fanko · 19/03/2007 19:09

Katy, read the original quiz thread, there was a toenail clue on there i think

maveta · 19/03/2007 19:09

Great news Fanko re. tax credits and nursery for matthew.. I´m sure it will help to have some time alone with the baby. Lucky you got the tyres checked!

WO - I can´t see it - that is the main page and then I have to select a section and I don´t know what section it´s in.. aaargh it´s all too much!! feeling very melodramatic tonight, not sure if anyone´s noticed?

dh is about to arrive home. going to make it look like I haven´t just sat here looking at the internet for the last few hours....

eca · 19/03/2007 19:10

katy - sorry to hear the house didn't sell.

Flump - hurrah! yours has! lol at deo in the fridge!

Oh, katy - quiz answers... just stroke the cat until the level fills up. & on the think fast one. Hover mouse under the question number and click lots. There's a split second where an escape arrow appears and you need to click it. I have given up at 82. Just can't do it, npt fast enough on laptop. Anyway, have played it far too much!

1b3 - ooooo exciting! Come on twins!

eca · 19/03/2007 19:11

82 is the toenail one!!!! Wail!!!

Katy44 · 19/03/2007 19:17

a bit odd, but OK, here you go Ellie

Have read the other thread, sorry for asking you all the same questions but don't think I'm doing anything wrong on the toenail one, just too slow - I always think if I just realised what the question was a bit quicker then I might be able to do it!
eca, thanks for the hint on the bomb one, might try that to see if I can keep one of my skips intact.

IsabellyMoi · 19/03/2007 19:21

Great news 1B3 - we are all waiting anxiously to find out if your waters broke in the fruit and veg section! Do let us know.

Any further action WCL ? I was thinking of you the other day. Seems like 1B3 is going to give you a run for your money - the race is on!

Birdie - great that your LO has decided to turn! Tili - hope yours does the same soon.

WeeOnion - am very impressed with the creativity! I have almost finished a crocheted baby blanket but that is the only thing I've made/am going to make. You sound very industrious and clever!

Flump - congrats on the house sale!! Katy - sorry yours didn't sell but maybe you'll be glad for a less stressful time around the birth?

at all the inconsiderate DPs/DHs over the weekend! Maveta - you put them all to shame with the lovely pampering you gave your DH for Father's Day.

Love the thread title! Can't wait for the 1st bun to come out of the oven

eca · 19/03/2007 19:21

oh, and whoever asked about arnica tabs (fanko??) I got some from boots - 30c ones and am planning to take some at the start of labour - maybe 2 at 2 hour intervals for 3 or 4 doses (depending on how much i'm puking) and then afterwards 2 four times a day for 5 days. That's basically what it says on the packet. Also says not to touch them, you have to click them in to the lid and drop into mouth from there.

Evening - two tired little girls in bed - I haven't stopped at all today - feeling abit trippy - wired and buzzing .... Argh!!?

Keep thinking about hospital bags and stuff that needs sorting before bubs arrives and the list just seems to get longer and longer - feel like I am going mad - No time to do anything with the Grusome Twosome around - when are DH and I EVER going to get organised for this new bubba!!!?

Can hardly remember anyone's posts; but do remember nit chat - we've just had an outbreak here - yuk yuk yuk - DD1 itching for England. We have treated her twice and keep combing her so hoping the little buggers are well and truly dead and gone gone gone .....

1B3 - Your poor poor tum! 52 weeks ooogs!!!! [[hugs]] to you both - Come on bubbas!!!!!!

Going to go and think a bit and prob come back later.

Katy - that's ok for asking all the same questions, made me look like I was really clever and worked it all out myself !!

hi Isabelly!

Katy44 · 19/03/2007 19:29

Can I just check, people who are due about the same time as me (23rd) where are you with hospital bags, perineal massage, general preparation? I'm feeling very unorganised which is not like me and it's worrying me.
Is everyone still doing their pelvic floor exercises?
