It's OK nuttygirl, I do have tendency to reply to people 6 posts back without mentioning what it is I'm talking about

Katy44 · 20/03/2007 17:33

Have just brought down all the baby clothes etc to see what I've got (as going shopping with mum tomorrow) and start washing it all.
I'm really excited at the thought of doing this - am I sad?

nuttygirl · 20/03/2007 17:36

Not sad at all...but shopping for more baby clothes is even more exciting!!! DH thinks this LO is going to be the most expensive baby ever cos I keep seeing little outfits I want to buy it!!!!

weeonion · 20/03/2007 17:49

ok - you lot are a bad influence - i am just back from a shopping trip - spent £50 in boots on nipple creams, breast pads, maternity mats (thanks ellie) and other glam things?? also got black out material for nursery window but nothing exciting. spotted your chat about shoes and have now bought the red ones and yellow sunflower ones. just how far do i think my last travel expenses cheque is lasting!!!!

weeonion · 20/03/2007 17:50

oh - it was me who gets lube from work. captain dippy can offer you staff disounts for cutie baby things - the best i can offer is condoms and lube?! more use possibly postnatally???

maveta · 20/03/2007 18:15

natter natter natter, are you ALL on ML already or what??

I´ve had another busy busy day at the office, feeling really REALLY tired now so going for my daily soak.. I have no idea which way my baby is - mw said head down but nothing else and I am sure he must be transverse or one of those fancy positions.. the top of my bump and the sides are always feeling full/ stretched etc. and the top right of my bump is constantly numb which makes me rub it.. I am sure he´s pushing against there almost permanantly with some part of his body.

My mw is SO crap but getting another scan on friday so hopefully I´ll feel a bit more confident about what bit is where after that.

No sore fanjo here girls, sorry, but I think that does sound like all your babies must be pressing down which just adds fuel to my suspicion (mixed metaphor or what?) that mine is nowhere near where he should be. grumble grumble.

In other news, we´ve had a snow flurry and sleet here! In Mallorca if you can believe it. brrrrrrr... (that´s a blue face for cold, not a sad face)

Ooooh yes quickly quickly - do I need socks for the baby? All the lists say socks but all the babygros have feet on them already? Yes it´s ´Maveta´s confused again´ time.. come on, gather round and help me out...

maveta · 20/03/2007 18:20

Katy44 - no you aren´t sad.. that was my big event of last week that I´d been saving up. enjoy! The novelty did kind of wear off after several loads though and now all the clothes are kind of crinkled where before they were all crisp and new and everything but I still AIN´T IRONING them!! (and they´re still very very cute...)

WO - I did have to stop and think about the lube remark.. took me a couple of seconds before I remembered your job where I thought ´now WHAT kind of job gives out lube....?´
Big kudos to you girl on the perineal massage, I have to say. I was all for it until I read the factsheet you sent me and realised what was involved. Maybe once I´m bored on ML I´ll dig it out and have a rustle around..

My tummy is also hairy by the way (harking back several conversations ago) but I´m still going strong with the IMMAC cold wax to hide all evidence..

Oooh yeah WO about your trimming - I also trimmed the other day and I went and bloody snipped myself with the scissors! Bleeding heck I gave myself a fright and abandoned the exercise then and there. Have told dh he´s on lawn duty from now on, no excuses!

maveta · 20/03/2007 18:25

Hey! Where did you all go??!

nuttygirl · 20/03/2007 18:28

Maveta - you don't need socks with babygrows that have feet in but if LO is wearing an outfit with no feet then you might wanna put socks on!!!

WO - I was so confused cos i thought GMM had said that and she works with phone mast things...was wondering why they gave her lube!!!! The info on p massage you sent maveta, do you have a copy you could email me. I've been doing it (most nights) for a couple of weeks but I can't reach so DH has to do it and i'm not sure if he's doing it right!!!

CaptainDippy · 20/03/2007 18:39

maveta - It's yuour 1st, so no floppy fanjos for you ..... yet!!

OP posts:
weeonion · 20/03/2007 19:00

Another busy day on here.

hensden i'm seeing mw tomorrow so i'll ask! Mine was back to back and head down. I'm sure it still is. I think that the bump would be harder if it had turned. But i don't remember what happened with dd.

Please let the mw tell me baby is fully engaged and will be out soon some hope!! Definatley won't be fully engaged from what she said last time it won't be til it's not back to back.

My car cost loads today, 2 new tyres and new brake pads but the brake pads were pretty urgent apparently and kinda necessary so i won't cry!!!

maveta · 20/03/2007 19:13

CD - LOL! The joys of what I have to come...

Nutty - you know, that totally makes sense guess I was just assuming everyone puts their babies in babygros and was looking at them all thinking ´but why socks aswell??´ forgot about little outfits.

We´ve got thunder and lighting and rain and all kinds of weather going on here, my cats are freaking out completely. Hahaha.. or that might be the youtube clip I just played with a bunch of little kitten mewling.. my ones could NOT for the life of them figure out where the kittens where! [evil]

Off to make dinner. Had a panic earlier that I haven´t eaten a single vegetable today and don´t have any in the house but going to try and find something. Tinned tomatoes are pretty good, right? And I think I have about 4 mushrooms and a couple of shallots... wish we had tesco via internet here...

octopussyintummy · 20/03/2007 19:20

Evening all

Hensden - how can your baby be head down and transverse - that doesn't make sense What is the plan if baby doesn't turn?

My baby was back to back for months but now spends most of his time the right way round which is encouraging. I have spent alot of time on my birthing ball though and brushing the kitchen floor with a dustpan and brush!

Well ... went off to the mirror to investigate episiotomy - can see the scar - was quite shocked how far it went back but you wouldn;t know I'd had one unless you were looking for a scar - kind of slightly shiny line. The ladygarden wasn't too long just a bit overgrown at the egdes and lastly (tmi) - aren't fanjos the most horrible things ever to look at - esp upside down with your head between your legs trying to look in mirror! I couldn't believe I could actually see my vagina - there is not flippin way a baby could possible come out of that! There didn;t seem to be any obvious swelling or look infected so must just be pressure of baby. I have to say my rabbit hasn;t been out for a run since august! Well tucked up in his hutch in hibernation.

I was meant to be going out tonight but am knackered and planning to watch Eastenders and Holby City!

nuttygirl · 20/03/2007 19:20

WO - have emailed you.

LOL Maveta ...so many little outfits I can't resist so I've had to buy some socks!!! Had difficulty finding ivory ones to go with christening gown tho.

nuttygirl · 20/03/2007 19:23

Octo - think I'll have to get DH to get the hedge trimmer out of the shed to do mine!!!! . The rabbit gets used every weekday morning...can't be arsed at the weekend cos DH is around!!!!!

Bugmum · 20/03/2007 19:25

ElliK - I have spent £251, and it is ALL YOUR FAULT. I went on to Kiddicare, thinking what a good idea that water carrier thingy was for a second baby (DP does swimming duty, so I was thinking pressie for him), so I bought that for 6 quid...and ended up spending all that money Mind you, that did include a cotbed, to be fair , and I would have had to have bought that sooner or later

octopussyintummy · 20/03/2007 19:27

No f*cking way Nutty - everyday and a dh at weekends I have no sexual inclination whatsoever although am tempted over the next few weeks if it gets things moving a bit! Scurries off embarrased at lack of action ...

nuttygirl · 20/03/2007 19:31

Nooooooo Octo - I mean I pretend not to want it at weekend cos DH is there and I can't be arsed!!!! Rabbit is much more easier!

Bugmum · 20/03/2007 19:32

For those who have bought an Amby Nest this time around, and already have at least one DC:

Amby Nests swing round and round in an interesting fashion when batted with a small hand.

DS discovered this today when I put mine up to try it out... I just didn't think that one through

nuttygirl · 20/03/2007 19:32

Oh WO....am PMSL @ DH...just gave him your instructions and said you wanted to know if he wanted some lube too ...he looked like a deer caught in the headlights!!! Poor thing, he's so sweet and innocent!

octopussyintummy · 20/03/2007 19:35

Phew Nutty

Bugmum - one reason why I knew an amby nest or rocking crib were not for us! LOL

Birdiebump · 20/03/2007 19:45

No worries re Amby Nest, Bugmum, my DS2 is nearly 4 (although I don't think that stops him from wanting to give it a push) but Nest is next to our bed and LO will only be in it when I am either in bed next to her or downstairs with DS2. Sorted !

Nuttygirl - have fun!!!

1becomes3 · 20/03/2007 19:47

Evening all, have been lurking most of today, LOL at all the lube and rabbit talk

I don't think I will be posting for a bit,
I have just got to the point where I really don't think i can deal with much more of this pg, being so tired and dealing with a crazed toddler, plus all the itching and pains, is just leaving me feeling really down.
I have spent most of today in tears as I am so frustrated.
Attempted to have a nap, when DD went down for her's but no matter what I do how many pillows I prop myself up with I couldn't get comfortable.
I don't want to come on here and moan all the time.

I'll be lurking around, as i don't think I can do cold turkey, and will start posting again when I feel a bit better.

[[hugs]] for all of you lets hope we see some baby action soon.
