matthew loved his red shoes but i was bored of them so when he needed new ones we went for the blue version

oh, bored of my new nickname so gone back to this one while i think up something more interesting.

Spent ages reading 'farmer giles' before got it!

One thing a friend relayed to me before she went into labour was to always go to the toilet before you get your knickers off and wash your bum in case you have any 'hangers on' rofl! Just one more thing to worry about - wouldn't stress too much though - by the time you've pushed the baby out you are likely to have shit on them anyway!

I have to say - just to finish off my gutter chat for the afternoon that I can't feel my episiotomy scar - may have to go do contortionist thing in mirror to check it out and see if ladygarden needs some pruning - will report back later

CD - do you have any small fuzzi inserts in the shop?

EllieK · 20/03/2007 14:11

someone needs you Captain!

EllieK · 20/03/2007 14:21

the lambskins look lovely but as i have an allergy to wool think i'd best just stick to looking!

is it right that for a baby under 1 you should cover it with a sheet before laying the baby on it to sleep?

Just had very emotional and excited phone call from my sister. Can't remember if I've told you (sorry if I'm reapeating myself) she has lost over 5 stone, through Weight Watchers and exercise, but nothing would shift the excess skin around her abdomen/tummy. Anyway, she went to the docs at Christmas to see if anything could be done. Doc said she was prime candidate for tummy tuck (and because she had lost the weight sensibly)

Anyway, she's been on the NHS waiting list, and had a phone call today asking would she like to have the op on Friday, as they've had a cancellation!!!!!

I'm feeling very excited and emotional. She's asked me to take her to the hospital on Thursday. I'm so pleased for her (and so proud for her losing the weight in the first place) but she's my little sister, so feeling a bit anxious too.

Right, will catch up with everyone elses news

x

EllieK · 20/03/2007 14:38

my car seat has arrived

and my water friendly baby carrier

not something i'd usually have thought of but at £6! should make taking them both swimming a bit easier.

eca · 20/03/2007 14:39

nutty - no dh doesn't have to be there, mine just happened to be at home.

ellie - at that thread about the 10kids. That poor girl, sounds awful.

nuttygirl · 20/03/2007 14:43

Thanks Eca I wasn't really sure what to expect...couldn't hear her v well either as the phone line seemed a bit dodgy.

I watched that thing about 10kids too...couldn't help but think "how'd they manage being pg with so many other kids to look after"????

EllieK · 20/03/2007 14:45

CaptainDippy · 20/03/2007 14:45

I've just read the thread about 10 kids too Made me remember a classic from MIL, something along the lines of she only really liked children up to the age of 5! wtf?! The woman has 6 children

CaptainDippy · 20/03/2007 14:46

Sorry runny - your sister - not SIL!!

Katy44 · 20/03/2007 14:53

Aaargh - I've got too many windows open - you can tell Ellie's back.
PMSL at the nipple warmer things - why would you want an assortment of colours? To go under tops? Are they not meant to be worn fur inwards?
Is that baby carrier really reduced from £50 to £6?? Am very tempted! Do you know if they've had any reviews?
Off to read the 10 kids thing.

Katy44 · 20/03/2007 14:54

Oh, CD, thanks for the email - I've replied (sorry, got caught up in all the excitement)

CaptainDippy · 20/03/2007 14:55
