Just back from gp appt, had a lovely doctor I've never met before. Blood pressure pretty normal, thank god so far, even though it'd be early for it to be high. She said she doesn't listen with doppler at this appt so didn't hear heartbeat, not helping my conviction that nothing is happening in there. I had a lot of white blood cells in my sample but no uti symptoms so she said it's probably nothing.

Now just have to wait until July 3rd for hospital appointment, will probably start stressing about bp at that soon Hmm Confused Sad

izzibee29 · 07/06/2017 19:13

@stuckinny Ahhh I understand now. Yes I've heard the mat leave in the US is rubbish. Having said that I love Manhattan and have visited there twice in the past 2 years.

AGnu · 07/06/2017 19:29

I threw up for the first time this pregnancy today. 16+4 so I should be getting better, not worse! I don't think I'm actually ill... I felt quite queasy for most of the morning & eventually made myself eat/drink & the next thing I know I'm running to the bathroom. I can't imagine there was anything wrong with my new potatoes! Confused That was at lunchtime & my throat still feels raw now & my eyes feel like I've been crying all day. Did you know, it's possible to burst tiny blood vessels around your eye so it looks like you've suddenly sprouted weird purple freckles?! It's only around my eyes & hasn't spread so I'm fairly sure it's not meningitis, however much it make look similar! Im supposed to be glowing & nesting right now.

lydiangel83 · 07/06/2017 19:41

Just got back from consultant appt about long term back issues and how they may impact my pregnancy and was very emotional! All fine I think but can't wait for 20 wk scan next wk :)

lydiangel83 · 07/06/2017 19:41

@AGnu sorry to hear that, I've also been feeling queasy today but wasn't actually sick. Hopefully it's just a one off?!

stuckinny · 07/06/2017 19:58

@izzibee29 I love manhattan too just not in the summer or winter! Actually, that's how I feel about New York as a whole. I live just over an hour out of the city but don't get down there half as much as I'd like. Since moving away, I have a new love for London. I couldn't wait to get out and home when I was working there but now I could spend days wandering around.
We're already talking about me going home for two months or so next summer with the kids. I'm excited about it already!!

I'm sorry you're not feeling well @AGnu.

Bubbasmama2017 · 07/06/2017 22:36

My feet and hips are suffering today think I might have ligament/muscle changes there too Sad on the plus side I've had bubbles in my tummy for the last 2 evenings so think I'm feeling the baby moving Smile very exciting! All this talk of maternity leave has got me counting down the months to meet my little one.

Zampa · 08/06/2017 05:35

Bubba I'm starting to get that "kicked in the foof" feeling. Has awful PGP last time so going to try and pre-empt my referral to physio by asking for it at my 16 week appointment.

lydiangel83 · 08/06/2017 07:32

@Bubbasmama2017 you've only just started counting?! First day back in work after I found out I googled a 'working days calculator' to see how many days of work I had left lol! It was 120 ish now less than 100! And that excludes my planned holidays :)

lydiangel83 · 08/06/2017 07:32

Don't think I've felt any movement yet, altho maybe I have and I have missed it??

CherriesInTheSnow · 08/06/2017 07:39

Hiya Halo

Is it possible to take in a later joiner? :)

Am 17+6 today with my second! Anxiously awaiting my 20 week scan, and starting to get a bit of a twingey back Sad

This pregnancy has been much easier that the first though; so grateful as DD is only 20 months. I'm also only getting the kicked foof feeling, weird I'm sure I was feeling stronger movement by now last time? Confused

lydiangel83 · 08/06/2017 08:20

Welcome @CherriesInTheSnow :-) the wait for 20 wk scan seems long, doesn't it?!

Bubbasmama2017 · 08/06/2017 08:45

@zampa is the kicked in the foof feeling a sharp pain every now and again? I get that! What is it?? Been getting back pains for a month or so now they're not fun.

CherriesInTheSnow · 08/06/2017 09:50

Very long indeed lydiangel!

I have worked out though that I only have 16 weeks left at work, and only 14 if you exclude holiday Grin

I thought I was more patient this time around, and was in the beginning, because I have a toddler. But now I just want autumn to roll around and have a little squishy baby in my arms again Halo

I will definitely feel better once baby is moving around properly, I always worry something is wrong until I know for sure it isn't

theotherendofthesockportal · 08/06/2017 10:18

@lydiangel83 and @Bubbasmama2017 I am delighted to hear I'm not the only one who has a count down to maternity leave! I think I've got around about 75 days left now. I have some holiday booked in that time and I am going at 33 weeks. I need to nest 😊

theotherendofthesockportal · 08/06/2017 10:18

@CherriesInTheSnow welcome to the group, you are about a week ahead of me

Bubbasmama2017 · 08/06/2017 10:32

Omg 117 work days left! Plus i have a week booked off and a couple of days here and there so probably only 108 or something! Grin that's if I work until my due date so might even be less than 100. That seems soon now.

lydiangel83 · 08/06/2017 10:37

@Bubbasmama2017 I've been getting sharp-ish pain - is that baby? I thought it was still growing pains! @theotherendofthesockportal I have just recalculated and I reckon I have about 90 days left! Consultant said because I am likely to get worsening back pain towards the end I may want to consider leaving earlier. I like the idea of resting and nesting a bit to be honest!

LucyJordan1979 · 08/06/2017 11:28

Hi Ladies,

Do you mind if I join you? I'm a bit late to the party sorry! 16+1 today due Nov 22nd

Topsyloulou · 08/06/2017 11:35

I did not know there was a working days calculator, what a great idea. Just calculated mine & if I take off holidays I have 84 days left at work!!! That's cheered me right up!

Teachervoice · 08/06/2017 17:50

Oh ladies, I hate to stealth boast but I've worked mine out and I have 54 working days left. There aren't many benefits to being a teacher but the big fat holiday between weeks 24-31 is going to be a godsend! Smile

butterybollocks · 08/06/2017 18:14

Oh teacher that's going to be good! I can't actually think about finishing work - I do actually love my job and there's lots I want to get done. Leaving my job in someone else's hands for 10 months makes me feel a bit wobbly Confused

Still very anxiously waiting for harmony test results Sad the wait is horrible even though statistically the chances of anything being wrong are slim. I rang them and it could be mid next week before the results are back Sad

theotherendofthesockportal · 08/06/2017 20:07

I was planning not to buy anything until after the 20 week scan but then the Asda sale bit me.

November 2017 #3: Flutters, bubbles and a proper bump!
GingerHanna · 08/06/2017 21:13

Had a private scan tonight. We're having a boy!

All looks well with the baby. However they found a previously unseen fibroid which has grown to 7x8cm so may be an issue. It's up near the top of my uterus which is good. But given it was not seen at 7 nor 12 weeks it seems to be a grower so will need close attention. Calling the midwife in the morning to discuss.

biginjapan · 08/06/2017 21:16

I hope you don't mind me butting in @butterybollocks I am from the December group and have just heard that my first harmony test was inconclusive. I have googled the fear of God into myself and am debating what to do next. Do you mind me asking what your midwife said about an inconclusive result? The woman from baby bond said that has nothing to do with chromosomal issues, but google is not my friend right now. Hope you don't mind me cropping up on this thread November crew. My best friend has had two redraws - both inconclusive and doesn't seem too worried. I also have a high bmi.
