@JCleRoux yes, been getting back into dancing Smile been dancing (just for fun - ballet, jazz, that sort of thing) since I was little but as you say, was out of the question during the first trimester. Easing back into it now, although have stopped contemporary class as it's too much rolling around on the floor/jumping etc, but enjoying ballet Smile

Hazandduck · 13/07/2017 20:36

Hi guys just done a quick catch up, oh my god @Ginger what a terrifying time for you!! I hope you are ok and home and relaxing 💗 Poor, poor thing this pregnancy hasn't been easy for you.

I agree on the fear of Baby arriving safely first before getting lots of gifts and attention, but I do like the idea of seeing my friends before I pop, maybe just a dinner or afternoon tea would be nice.

I'm off on my hen do tomorrow, getting quite excited now!

I feel like my movements are really extreme, I've been able to see them for at least 2 weeks, I'm 23 weeks on Monday. Does this mean my bumpy has exceptionally big feet?! Lol. Me and OH sit watching it move in weird ripples and massive kicks every night, it's mad thinking there is actually a small person in my stomach! Trips me out ha x

SarahS17 · 13/07/2017 22:42

My kicking is really sporadic, had lots between 20-22 but now at just over 23 weeks he seems less active and when he is it isn't as strong. I spoke to the midwife though today and she said it doesn't sound like anything to worry about as the baby has probably just moved position and I had a good heartbeat at my 23 week appointment. So I'm staying positive!!
I am the same for a baby shower but my friends are insisting :-( I keep saying I would rather have a girly night of wine and Chinese once the babies here!!
I've been trying to keep up the exercise with going to the gym and using the cross trainer rather than running (which I did before and up to 16 weeks) and then weights.

Hazandduck · 13/07/2017 23:26

You're good @Sarah, I've been a lazy shit since I got pregnant haha. The most I do is walking every day and the odd plank! I miss my morning runs, I have already decided to sign up to some 5ks next year to try and get my butt back in gear x

butterybollocks · 14/07/2017 06:29

Haz I'm the same as you, loads of movement and can see and feel it on the outside. I think we've got active babies! Slightly worried that mine is never going to sleep...

I've been rubbish at doing any exercise. I'm doing well if I manage the school run and walking the dog. I've not been completely well for weeks though, still coughing and breathless. This pregnancy has completely knocked me for six.

Hazandduck · 14/07/2017 08:50

@Buttery well at least I won't be the only one having no sleep in November, I've been thinking the exact same! We must have hyper beans 😄

It's understandable you've not been able to do any exercise, how are you feeling now? Slowly getting on the mend? X

butterybollocks · 14/07/2017 14:58

Will be interesting to find out if your's is a boy or a girl haz. Our dates are so similar and we both have hyper babies...mine is a boy so...we shall see!

I was feeling better and then I got a cold! But my daughter finishes school for summer today, I have two weeks off work and we're off to France next week so I hope the rest will do me good!

Zampa · 14/07/2017 17:34

I have terrible indigestion which I found out today means that I'm going to have a hairy baby, apparently!

What other old wives' tales do you know/are you experiencing?

DryHeave · 14/07/2017 17:39

I'm very envious of those who are having lots of kicks. I have an anterior placenta so it's all very low or high and very muffled.

Re: exercise. I've been keeping up throughout pregnancy but noticed a massive change in my ability to not get out of breath from about 12 weeks. Modified my exercises from 20 weeks so no lying-on-back exercises and v careful with joints and abdomen. Running is very slow going and very short distances - due to breathing and bladder! I'm determined to keep something of a routine up - even if it ends up being very tokenistic - for as long as possible!

lydiangel83 · 14/07/2017 22:21

I'd been trying to go spinning and pilates once a week each but that's fallen to pot recently and now I feel huge after 2 wks in Italy stuffing my face with pasta pizza icecream and pastries! Bliss! Want to get back a bit of fitness though whilst I am fit and able to, I'm shocked at how much my bum and thighs have grown!

Motherhippy16 · 15/07/2017 08:01

Good morning all. Sorry if I don't comment on recent posts as my phone doesn't load up properly until I post something! We had our 20 week scan on Thursday and it's a little boy!!!! He is well and healthy with a small head and round tummy (just like his daddy!) And am feeling so many flutterings esp in the eve. He was kicking and moving and stretching like anything in the scan so pleased to know even though I can't feel it that he's dancing around! Much love to all and hope you are all well x x x x

What a lovely scan @Motherhippy16!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

After all this talk of exercise I'm going out this morning for a light jog. Wish me luck! Smile

theotherendofthesockportal · 15/07/2017 09:11

Aww lovely scan photo @Motherhippy16

I am treating myself to a lie in this morning :)

butterybollocks · 15/07/2017 09:52

Oh sock I am sooooo jealous! My little girl woke up at 5am this morning, DH is ill and was coughing all night...I am so tired!

Lovely pic motherhippy!

Topsyloulou · 15/07/2017 13:47

Lovely photo @Motherhippy16

I've been awake since 4 & it's not even DS's fault as he's at home. We're staying in a cottage as it was DP's grandma's funeral yesterday & the bed it so so uncomfortable. It feels like the springs are digging into me. Otherwise the cottage is perfect.

We're sorting out her bungalow today, I've been at it since 8, my body is now telling me to stop, hate this aspect of being pregnant. I want to do so much more but I know I need to listen to my body. Having a little rest with my feet up & then going to do something easier like driver on the tip runs or something.

Hope everyone else is having a nice relaxing weekend.

GingerHanna · 15/07/2017 17:27

Thanks again for the well wishes. Getting better day by day but incredibly frustrating to still be weak as a kitten.

Wonderful news and picture MotherHippy. Smile

22 weeks today, a little girl! I feel so much better this pregnancy (my second) than I did with my first that it seems to just be flying by. Starting to get episodes of what DH refers to as "rage cleaning" BlushHalo and a few twinges in my hip but nothing nearly as bad as the SPD last time. Just loving my little bump!!

JCleRoux · 15/07/2017 20:29

Aww @PumpkinSpiceEverything that's a gorgeous photo!

DuRezidal · 16/07/2017 03:59

Well the cast has been off my leg since Tuesday and the rehab has now started. It's going to be a grisly long road but at least we are doing one step at a time (oh the irony).

I have been in the pool every day twice daily, really pushing myself with the weight bearing and back on two of the horses (I was riding one with my cast anyway).

I have two big competitions over the following two weeks but I still need to scramble on and my staff to help me get the horse to the arena. I am getting more and more frustrated as I am such an independent person and having to rely on people for things is just driving me completely insane!

GingerHanna · 16/07/2017 07:41

Good news for getting the cast off DuRez. I can see how not being independent is driving you crazy but it sounds like you're making fast and stromg progress.

Beautiful picture Pumpkin and so pleased with hear you're having a much better time of it this time around. Smile

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 16/07/2017 08:11

22 weeks today and I'm off to a babies and children's market in a bit, then test driving a much bigger car after that!
Feeling a bit more relaxed as yesterday my DP offered to buy us the travel system and car seat that we like, so although we're still bargain hunting it doesn't seem so bad now.

Had the 20 week scan and managed to keep gender a surprise, so now just need to decide on names.
DH has suggested Neo and Rocket so far (no offence intended to anyone who has DC with either of those names but they aren't for me!!) so I'm starting to think we'll just let the midwife choose

izzibee29 · 16/07/2017 09:12

@NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown glad your scan went well, ill bee 22wks on tues and my scan is on thurs. We'd like to keep it a surprise too, but it'll be so tempting!

Everyone don't forget to update the spreadsheet with your baby genders if you have found out xxx

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 16/07/2017 09:45

Good luck for Thursday Izzi

theotherendofthesockportal · 16/07/2017 10:33

@NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown gorgeous photo! Congratulations

We bought our new car yesterday, it's a real grown up car, I am going to cry when my impractical car gets sold :(

I've bought so many clothes of eBay now, baby sock portal has all her clothes for the first year of her life.

lydiangel83 · 16/07/2017 11:55

Hi @theotherendofthesockportal I haven't bought any clothes yet! How did you know what to buy / choose bundles? I'm looking at eBay now and lots look very similar. Thinking I may just get a lot of 0-3 months and 3-6 months and worry about clothes for after that period later on!
