Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

Thanks guys
Just checked and this would be my AF week, and so maybe something to do with that like you say @pretzelpieces xxx

lookatthemoon · 01/06/2017 01:05

Hopefully carb -breakthrough bleeding can be common it seems!

I found out yesterday that a neighbour with a child the same age as DS is pregnant with no.2 and now a close friend thinks she might be pregnant (unplanned surprise). I also got told yesterday by another neighbour that it was 'time for no.2'.

I'm happy for them but more so I am relieved that I am pregnant and hearing all this doesn't sting.

Melody85 · 01/06/2017 07:28

Hello everyone and congratulations to all the new BFPs! 😊
I'm starting to panic as have had quite bad symptoms for the last week but they seem to have disappeared! My boobs have gone back to normal, bloating has gone! I don't really feel like I'm pregnant anymore! I had some bad cramps last night but seem ok this morning. Has anyone else experienced similar? I think I'm about 5 weeks and 1 day. Thank you x

Iamchanging · 01/06/2017 07:43

I'm the same melody. 6 weeks today. Boobs only hurt when I massively squeeze them but nothing like they used to. Other than that nothing! It's stupid to want symptoms but I find them reassuring!!

pickledprogress · 01/06/2017 07:59

Hi melody - cramps are normal - I had aweful ones with my little girl. Also it's completely normal not to feel pregnant - most of the time before about 25 ish weeks you won't - then you feel like a bee he'd whale being kicked!!

Melody85 · 01/06/2017 09:54

Thanks for the reassurance & pickled. It's such a strange time isn't it, feels like your whole world has changed but doesn't feel quite real. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow so hope that will make it seem more realistic! 😊

Toomanydogs · 01/06/2017 15:04

Tentatively joining in EDD 1st Feb. Had an early MC in March so will probably take a back seat until I'm a little less worried!

Saltandpepperpig · 01/06/2017 17:53

Congratulations everyone on your BFP! It's so worrying at this point isn't it, I felt horrendous a few days ago and woke up feeling fine this morning and rather than be happy I was terrified! When is everyone planning on telling close family? I find it hard to keep a secret and want to tell my mum and sisters but dp thinks it's too early!

Thekissbyklimt13 · 01/06/2017 18:15

Congratulations Toomanydogs! I know how you feel. I haven't told anyone - DH would end up telling his mum and sister who would tell half the country, and I'm dreading the negativity from my parents. I'm going to book a Harmony test at 10 weeks and then tell people once I know the result. I don't know how I'm going to keep it to myself though!

Catdogcat · 01/06/2017 18:27

I went for my HCG blood test this morning as a follow up from the one two days ago. It's gone from 96 at 14dpo up to 499 at 16 dpo in under 46 hours.

Do you think 499 is ok at exactly 4 weeks??

I'm a bit worried that's it's increased so much, everything I read say double in 48-72 hours.

NoParticularPattern · 01/06/2017 19:07

Cat they expect it to at least double- anything over that and you're absolutely winning! I have always been told not to take any notice of the actual numbers as different women (and indeed different pregnancies) vary wildly in their hormone levels. So long as they are doubling (or more than in your case!) then you have nothing at all to worry about :)

Iamchanging · 01/06/2017 20:02

Cat mine went from 1000 at 19dpo to 3000 at 21dpo which they said was great news. I've also only got one in there so more than doubling doesn't necessarily mean twins!! So I'd say nothing to worry about!

Catdogcat · 01/06/2017 20:22

Thanks @NoParticularPattern and @Iamchanging I had none of these tests with my daughter so was unsure.

pickledprogress · 01/06/2017 20:53

Hi all

I've told dh Mom and sister and will by best friend - all people who I would want support from if things didn't turn out. How is everyone getting their htc checked? Hasn't even occurred to me!

toomany I've had two early mc's and then a boring uneventful pregnancy which resulted in my 1.5 girl!

Thinking of doing a harmony test this time round as a bit older and my screening numbers last time due to age and weight weren't that great - although bubba was born fine!

VocalCat · 01/06/2017 21:09

Just catching up and so many new people. Hop everything is going well for all of you.

Iamchanging · 01/06/2017 21:40

HI pickled, I got my levels checked because at 4:2 I had such bad pains that I threw up and they thought it might be the ectopic. It wasn't thankfully!

pretzelpieces · 01/06/2017 21:45

Welcome to the bfps.

Worried today. I've been feeling sick almost from the start like with DD and today I don't at all. 😕

Iamchanging · 01/06/2017 21:57

I've not felt sick at all pretzel and I'm 6 weeks today. Have a scan in a week so fingers crossed everything's ok.

pickledprogress · 01/06/2017 22:11

Hi Pretzels - really dont worry - morning sickness comes in all shapes and guises - mine last time didnt appear until week 8 - and then stayed for 20 weeks - ALL DAY. A friend - nothing... not even heartburn. Some feel sick all the time - others every few days.

also remember no two pregnancies are the same - I had god awful cramps last time - this time I feel 'heavy.' However until I am told otherwise - by a scan or aunt flo/ mc I am not going to stress and take each day as it comes - 9 months is a long time (actually its more like 10 )

SofiePendragon · 01/06/2017 22:36

pretzel I find symptoms do come and go, especially early on. My earliest sign of pregnancy with DD was a stuffy nose and I've had that again this time round, but yesterday it had all dried up and I was worrying a bit. But tonight it's back, I've been sniffing and sneezing again. I know these early stages are so scary but, just like the tww, I don't think you can tell too much by symptoms.

lookatthemoon · 02/06/2017 00:24

Don't stress Pretzel - i had symptoms from the start, then they disappeared and came back with a bang last night!

I had absolutely no symptoms with DS until about 7 weeks. It feels a little unusual to have them this early anyway.

In about a month most of us are going to feel like nauseous zombies (hopefully!) 😂 there are always those lucky few who skip through pregnancy feeling great and looking 'glowy'. 😊

Sanchezwasntdirty · 02/06/2017 03:15

Urgh pickled heartburn! I've got constant mild niggling heartburn it's driving me potty!

Iamchanging · 02/06/2017 07:35

Well having said I had no symptoms yesterday at 6+1 I just threw up this morning! Is it weird that I found it exciting?!!! ShockShock

Firsttimeandclueless · 02/06/2017 07:48

Our threat has got busy! This is great!
Welcome to anyone I haven't met before.

Not at all IamChanging
I would be excited too! Any kind of sign to prove this is real. I'm 4+1 today and still no symptoms at all. Just going to take each day as it comes.

Did allow myself to buy a pregnancy book to find out what's happening in the womb! :)

Lookatthe you're probably right. In a couple of weeks, we'll be on here moaning about how ill we feel. 😂😂

We're (DH) not telling anyone until after 12 weeks. I would just feel like I'm tempting fate. 😑

Blissfulignorance · 02/06/2017 08:31

Morning all, could I please join in?

My stats: first ever pregnancy, after almost a year of trying.
I'm 28, DH 30.
I'm 4+3 according to my app

I have crazy sore boobs, quite a fair bit of cramping, and I need to pee all the time.

As most of you ladies have said I am also terrified! I can't seem to relax and enjoy it.

I took an internet charlie Wink around when af was due and it was a faint positive so ran to get my FRER which was hugely positive, next day DH wanted to see a digital which said 2-3 weeks. Shocked 😳. This was a few days ago now.

So congratulations on all the BFP s and I'm so sorry for those who've lost already.
