Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

Humperty - I'm sorry, that must make you anxious. Hopefully it's just one of those fluctuations. Did you go to the loo in the night? How many weeks and days are you? When did you say your early scan was? I really hope it's nothing to be worried about.

Leanne - you should be alright to just eat a bit of oily fish. Make sure you don't eat too much though! Check out the NHS guidelines about which fish you need to eat in moderation (it's often things with high levels of mercury).

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 20/06/2017 09:06

Oh no Rainy - try not to worry. The baby is so tiny and so cushioned at this stage!

Humpertydumpty · 20/06/2017 09:32

Coffee - should be 5 weeks today. I took it at 4:30am so FMU really. Scan is in 2 weeks.

lookatthemoon · 20/06/2017 09:53

Humperty - I presume it was a clearblue digital? I think they might be a bit renowned for scaring people with inaccurate readings on the weeks indicator. If you haven't had any bleeding or cramping I would try not to stress too much x

Also there is a school of thought that SMU is actually more accurate than FMU ...

Humpertydumpty · 20/06/2017 09:57

Ta. I'll line their pockets more later and buy another. All the others were done afternoon or evening. Either way, there's nothing I can do to change what happens.

Kadena127 · 20/06/2017 11:09

Hi checking in I am 6 weeks and 2 days with my third child. Went for a scan on Sunday as I was convinced it was twins! But just the one little bean in there it seems. I'm due 11th Feb.

Keeping everything crossed for you Humperty

Hi Kadena - congrats! Wow, nice early scan pic!

Currently waiting for my GP to call back...horrible cramps and left leg pains, I'm hoping it's nothing but would rather check...

Blissfulignorance · 20/06/2017 13:11

Now bleeding, epu can't see me til Thursday morning when I'll have a scan. Devastated.

Alicantine · 20/06/2017 13:16

@blissfulignorance Flowers. I am so sorry. Let's see what they say on Thursday.

@Humpertydumpty so sorry as well. Although there is a possibility it's just an issue with the test. As you're an IVF patient can't you be fast tracked or something? For them to check asap? But you're right there's very little you can do but wait for now....

@Kadena127 welcome and well done on your scan

@leannieRVN yes eating oily fish within the recommendations will be better than the supplements.

@RainyDayBear don't you worry about that cuddle ;-)

EmilyK83 · 20/06/2017 13:22

Blissful, keeping everything crossed for you for Thursday lovely.

Currently waiting for EPU referral - saw GP this afternoon. Likely to be tomorrow for an early scan to check everything is ok...

emwithme · 20/06/2017 18:35

Blissful I will cross everything for you.

I am 7+1 today. On this day, last pregnancy, I started bleeding and a MC was confirmed when I was 8+2. I am not bleeding today. Today, I am pregnant. We have a private scan booked for Monday evening so fingers crossed that all goes well.

I've just spent an hour going round Tesco doing the food shopping (because it's beautifully air conditioned, so a slow wander was allowed, lurking particularly in the chiller/freezer aisles) and then came home and ordered a chinese takeaway because I actually didn't buy much food at all. I do have a lovely new top, and a fabulous handbag though Grin

Emwahs · 20/06/2017 19:05

@blissfull crossing all fingers and toes for you xxx

@emwithme that sounds like my kind of shop. My husband works away on lighthouses a lot so when he is home he always moans that there is nothing in the house as I tend of live off fishfinger sandwiches and tuna cheese on toast plus my mum has a pub so go around there a couple times a week to be fed! It's always hard cooking for one. When I can be bothered I made a load of meals up and then just freeze them but that involves energy which I just don't have at the moment especially in this heat!

Off for private scan tomorrow i will be 7 weeks 6 days :-) I think after this one I will finally stop panicing. Will post a pic when I get it. It's very good value down here in Cornwall there is a place that does it for £59

@rainy I had a bit of a accident too yesterday, managed to slip on a gravel slope, thankfully made myself fall on side so just a bruised thigh, cut food and a very bruised ego! Hopefully baby penguin (what my husband has named baby) was well protected!

MrsPicklesonSmythe · 20/06/2017 19:18

Hi all, afraid I haven't had time to read through the thread yet so apologies for ignoring everyone I'll read properly at work tomorrow lunchtime.

Got my 3+ on the clearblue today, I'm 6 weeks exactly today very pleased x

Loxy4527 · 20/06/2017 21:15

Oh Bliss I'm really hoping everything's going to be okay with you xxx

GingerRogers84 · 20/06/2017 23:36

@Emwahs baby penguin is a cute nickname! For some reason we have nicknamed ours Jeffrey! 😂

Does anyone else have nicknames?

choochooo · 21/06/2017 06:50

Em that's a lovely positive way to go - I'm going to adopt that. I also love that your dh works on lighthouses!

Bliss I'm thinking of you, how are you today? If you're desperately worried don't let them fob you off til tomorrow,

Ginger my first ever pregnancy I named squishy bean. I mc at 8 weeks but it will always be squishy to me Smile
This one won't feel real til I get to 12 weeks as I lost one earlier this year at 10.

Emily good luck for today's scan

Pretzel did you have your scan yesterday? How did it go? Smile

Kadena lovely scan pic!

Humperty CB are utterly shite and not very sensitive so please don't let this upset you. Wait a week and test again

Rainy my 2 stone 4lb toddler decided to walk on my belly yesterday Confused but don't worry your little bean is well protected

choochooo · 21/06/2017 06:53

I am still not feeling very pregnant but tests have got darker. I do have this sort of ever so slight dizziness and nausea when I wake in the night (my DS was awake at 2am Sad) but I'm Bly sure if that's heat related.

I've told my boss at work but no one else, because my boss knows about the mcs and is lovely so has told me to take every day as it comes and go and hide or chill when I need to.

EmilyK83 · 21/06/2017 08:13

choo tests getting darker is a good sign!

And thanks for the good luck message. Scan now tomorrow morning instead, but they've told me to get in touch today if anything changes...

6 weeks today, and a new symptom - a feeling like my ribcage is being squashed...

Toomanydogs · 21/06/2017 10:00

Fingers crossed and thinking of those having any worrying symptoms Flowers
Full on sickness has commenced here, ginger biscuits not helping even a little!

UnglamorousMum · 21/06/2017 10:11

@Toomanydogs sorry you're suffering 😢 how many weeks are you?

EmilyK83 · 21/06/2017 10:15

Awww Toomanydogs - hope it eases up for you soon!

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 21/06/2017 10:31

Blissful - I'm thinking of you and really hope it's not bad news tomorrow Flowers.

Em - Yes! Today you are pregnant and a little further along than last time. Cling to every positive Smile.

Good luck with the scans Emwah and Emily.

I feel horribly sick today. My stomach has been upset and I feel generally awful although it may be because we got back from Greece at 2am this morning (which was 4am on Greek time). I'm 4+4 today and have a scan booked for Friday 7th. I'm so nervous about it all Sad.

EmilyK83 · 21/06/2017 10:48

Thanks Coffee. Hope you enjoyed Greece! And hopefully the time before your scan will fly by...

Blissfulignorance · 21/06/2017 10:51

Thanks ladies, I'm still bleeding lightly. Cramps are bad still. I'm taking it easy today. I can't change anything, there's nothing anyone can do so I'll just have to wait til morning and find out what's going on.

SofiePendragon · 21/06/2017 13:39

blissful hope it all settles and everything is OK tomorrow.

dogs and coffee sorry you're feeling poorly

Emily Good luck for tomorrow. Has your leg settled down? Are they worried about a blood clot?

I've just had my booking in appointment with the midwife. Lots of questions and now have a bulky set of notes to lug about. It was good to have the morning off work as I've really been struggling with nausea in the mornings this week. I know it's a good sign to have nausea but it's hard to remember that when you're worried you might start vomming everywhere!
