Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

Oh hi - another POAS addict here. Just peed on what must be my 402nd stick and got 2-3 on digi woop. Non fmu too. 4+5 today!

kazzah29 · 19/06/2017 20:28

Evening ladies, I started spotting this evening and feeling petrified.

I'm five weeks today and thinking the worst. If it stops, should I still call the midwife in the morning?

Alicantine · 19/06/2017 20:37

@loxy4527 also forgot to add that for my 2mcs I was still testing positive halfway through the bleeding hence also probably why the relevance of testing often was not obvious to me.

Alicantine · 19/06/2017 20:40

@kazzah29 yes call her in the morning even if it stops. Hang on there the wait is awful but we'll be sending you thoughts

Alicantine · 19/06/2017 20:44

@humpertydumpty lool at testaholic. I thought the week indicator was just a gimmick though? Oh and what's the "official ivf test" you had on Saturday? Was it conducted in a hospital?

@unglamorousmum lol at 402nd stick what does fmu mean?

@RainyDayBear well I'm glad something ended up stopping you lol :)

sanchezwasntdirty · 19/06/2017 20:46

Keeping don't worry I'm 8 weeks and I've had no nausea as yet... I'm kind of counting my blessings!

Blissfulignorance · 19/06/2017 20:52

Hi ladies
Not a great day for me, dying in the heat and have had brown spotting today. Trying to convince DH to have an early scan. I don't think my epu will want to know until there's is fresh blood. I honestly feel like utter shit. I hate this. I've wanted it for so long and it's bollocks if it all goes wrong.

Rant over

Hope everyone else is good.

SofiePendragon · 19/06/2017 21:03

I did a few tests, but stopped when the test line was darker than the control line (a couple of weeks ago now). I still have two first response and a bunch of Internet cheapie tests upstairs though.

Emily I know it probably won't make much difference if you're feeling by anxious, but please don't worry about smoking before you found out - so many people do things they regret before finding out they're pregnant and their babies are just fine. Try not to smoke any more if you can resist it, because that wil be better for the baby (and even better if you can quit for good so your child isn't exposed to cigarette smoke as they grow up)

fandango I've been taking seven seas tablets - they've got folic acid and vit d in as well as some other bits and bobs. I really struggled to eat in my first trimester with DD (and I'm starting to feel similar this time) so I figure some extra vits won't be a bad thing.

Keeping it sounds like you have some good symptoms there. I have been feeling sick at times (haven't actually vomited yet though) , but lots of women don't and have healthy pregnancies.

I'm so uncomfortable in this heat. My car's aircon doesn't work and my journey home tonight was horrible. I've been worrying about my little bean - if hot baths are bad then I'm guessing that an hour in a roasting car isn't much better. I've been getting slightly sharp lower abdo pains for the past few days as well, but no signs of blood or anything so hoping it'll all be OK.

SofiePendragon · 19/06/2017 21:05

Sorry blissful Cross post. Hope you're ok and keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Could you try a shower or something to cool down a bit?

Humpertydumpty · 19/06/2017 21:17

Alicantine - Saturday was my official test day after IVF. They give you a non-digital clearblue and you ring them with the result. I saved that test for test day!

PumbletonWakeshaft · 19/06/2017 21:22

Hi everyone, is anyone else getting ligament pain? I'm 7 wks tomorrow and getting lots of painful spasms in my groin area. I think this is round ligament pain, it feels ligament-y, just concerned it's so frequent so early on! Any advice much appreciated!

kazzah29 · 19/06/2017 21:31

Thanks @Alicantine. It's so hard not to worry. Still feeling slight cramps, scared to go to the toilet. Will try and get an early night I think.

UnglamorousMum · 19/06/2017 21:43

@Alicantine it means first morning urine Smile

lookatthemoon · 19/06/2017 21:48

Hi @alicantine - thanks for the check in! Symptoms came back with a bang and spent most of the weekend not eating or being sick. But yesterday I felt mostly fine. I am accepting that there will be good days and bad. Had a scan on Fri with a nice heartbeat and a rolling bean so feel 'slightly' more relaxed.

So sorry to hear about spotting Kazza and Blissful - must be so scary but remember that it can be normal in early pregnancy. Fx!

lookatthemoon · 19/06/2017 21:50

Sorry for the crazy half bold text - it's 5:49 am here and I am still bleary-eyed!

UnglamorousMum · 19/06/2017 21:51

Great news @lookatthemoon how many weeks/days were you when you had your scan?

lookatthemoon · 19/06/2017 22:04

I was 6+5 unglamorous. Only had it as GP has a v small ultrasound he uses to confirm pregnancy.

RainyDayBear · 19/06/2017 22:08

Crossing fingers that all is well kazza and blissful

LeannieRVN · 19/06/2017 22:51

Hi everyone. Please may I join? I'm relatively new to Mumsnet, and didn't know about the antenatal talk section, so I've started a 'Due mid Feb' in the pregnancy section. Then someone pointed me to you! Hope it's OK to be on two threads!
My stats are:
5 weeks pregnant (to the day)
Age 40
Cycle 6
TTC #1

Very anxious about my age and extra issues it poses. I'm a nutrition enthusiast and pretty active, so trying to do everything perfectly correct!

Alicantine · 19/06/2017 23:17

@LeannieRVN welcome. You can be in as many threads as you can cope with! I'm happy with one (to do with pregnancy that is) but some with specific needs might be popping in several (like multiples, ivf etc) and that's fine too.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm only two years younger than you but I can relate to the fears related to the age. I have 5 DC ( 1DS 4DDs) if this goes well it'll be my sixth. But ever since I hit 35 I have had two miscarriages (my youngest is six). I've been ttc for 2 years with plenty of BFNs since my last mc 2 years ago. I'm 6+3 and take each day as it comes:).
Hopefully we'll have uneventful pregnancies leading to healthy babies! I'm assuming you're taking your folic acid and vitamin d? X

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 20/06/2017 07:17

Hi Leanne and welcome! Congratulations! I can understand your nervousness. Hopefully you can relax as your pregnancy progresses! Good luck over the next (almost) 8 months!x

LeannieRVN · 20/06/2017 07:43

Thank you both for your nice words. So sorry to hear of your miscarriages Alicantine, how cruel life can be. I really do wish that this is a healthy one for you.
I'm still taking my Pregnacare Preconception. It has 400mg folic acid, bit D and zinc etc. The packet advises that I can finish it off before moving to the pregnancy specific. I'm also taking epa/Dhabi fish oil, but have recently read a large study found these to be ineffective, and so planning of adding in more oily fish. Is this ok do you think.

Humpertydumpty · 20/06/2017 07:46

Oh no, my test has gone back down to 1-2 Confused

EmilyK83 · 20/06/2017 08:03

Welcome Leannie - and congrats!

Oh Humperty, sending hugs - hope everything's ok xx

RainyDayBear · 20/06/2017 08:45

Humperty hopefully it's nothing, remember there can still be fluctuation in the levels and pregnancy tests aren't an exact science. Hope all is well!

DD just managed to flump down on my pelvis really hard when sitting on my lap for a cuddle. I know they're well cushioned in there, but it worries me anyway. I keep telling her to be gentle, and she isn't a boisterous child for the most part, but can be quite unintentionally forceful when climbing or cuddling!

I really need to get some Vitamin D today, have only been taking folic acid so far.
