Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

Ooh, okay thanks all, sounds like one of the more reasonable ones then. Might have to convince DH that my peace of mind is worth it. Also, there's a history of twins in my family so the sooner we know how many the better. I'm just hoping for one healthy baby but it'd be good to know.

SquintySquirrel · 15/06/2017 20:20

I'm only about 4weeks but I've also had side twinges and general cramps. I've also had a LOT of gas 😳

Seems too early for this to be pregnancy related but it's definitely not the norm for me!

Argh this is so frustrating! I go through periods of complete elation then periods of panic and convince myself it's not real or it's not going to stick!

SofiePendragon · 15/06/2017 20:21

lulu I've had twinges and cramps on both sides, probably more on the right. Iwouldnt worry too much - it's probably just things starting to stretch around.

loxy I've heard Groupon often have deals on scans so might be worth looking there?

conkers and Vocal hope you're both back on a board asap Flowers

Got my scan appointment today. First week of July. I think it might be a little early, but it will be good to have a better idea of when I'm due. I'm getting a bit fed up of not knowing how far along I am.

SofiePendragon · 15/06/2017 20:24

On that note... How far many dpo were you ladies when you had a definite bfp (ie not a squinter, but a clear positive)? Mine came on CD47, but I have no idea how many dpo I was!

LulusForest · 15/06/2017 20:49

Thanks guys, I feel a bit more reassured about my twinges now! I just wish time would go a bit faster...I am impatient at the best of times, never mind now.

sofie I got a faint but clear positive on a frer at what I'm fairly confident was 9dpo.

I'm near Glasgow and there's a scan place here which does early scans for £49. So I definitely plan to have one at about 9 weeks so we can tell family as we're going on holiday with the in-laws then. It's cheap enough I may even be tempted to get one at 6 weeks too.

Blissfulignorance · 15/06/2017 20:55

Sofie I had a blazing positive on a frer and cbd which said 2-3 weeks at what I thought was 10 dpo (cd28) according to my temps. I was concerned that it was a bloody strong line and after a bit of mulling I reckon I must have ovulated earlier in my cycle.
I thought it was a bit odd that my app picked up ov so late as I usually did about cd 10-11?

Loxy I get twinges and cramps on my right hand side mostly. Although today they've been more central.

SofiePendragon · 15/06/2017 21:07

Thanks guys! That being the case I think I could be anything from 6 to 9 weeks right now! My opk turned positive on CD47 (wasn't sure I'd actually ovulated so was keeping an eye on it), so I did an IC which was faint but clearly positive and a superdrug early which was clear. So I guess that could've been anything from 9dpo onwards.

choochooo · 15/06/2017 21:11

I'm trying not to worry but my test is still faint. I keep reminding myself that I'm only 13dpo so faint is normal.

TriJo · 15/06/2017 22:20

Sofie Faint BFP @ 12 dpo on a FRER here.

choochooo · 15/06/2017 22:39

My first no squint line was 10dpo sofie but it's usually 11dpo for me.

choochooo · 15/06/2017 22:40

Lulu twinges are totally normal. Your wee embryo is settling in abc the uterus is starting to expand so it's normal to feel some stretching and twinging

EmilyK83 · 15/06/2017 23:07

10dpo for me Sofie!

UnglamorousMum · 16/06/2017 07:43

I'm an absolute POAS addict. Lines are definitely getting darker which makes me feel a little more relaxed

Great looking lines Unglamorousmum!

I had my first scan today - and we got a heartbeat and saw some movement! GrinAm sooo relieved. I spent all morning sick with nerves. Still not out of the woods but I can relax for today.

UnglamorousMum · 16/06/2017 08:27

Thanks @lookatthemoon! Great news on your scan. How far are you?

lookatthemoon · 16/06/2017 08:46

I estimate I am 6+5 but the scan today suggested 7+5!! It was a very small machine that my GP had so I presume it is not that reliable at this stage for dates. I was opk'ing so I would be very surprised if I was a week off.

TheLovelyOtherDinosaur · 16/06/2017 08:56

Hello everyone!
Can I join? I've just got my bfp this morning and will be 5 weeks tomorrow. NHS pregnancy calculator says due date wil be around 22nd February
Stats:
1st pregnancy
Cycle:1
Age: 33
5 weeks pregnant tomorrow

Supper16 · 16/06/2017 09:00

Morning everyone. I am 8 weeks today with my first. Due either end of Jan or beginning of Feb.
For those of you who self-referred to the midwives, how quick did you hear back from them with a booking appointment?

I filled out a form online because I thought it would be faster than seeing the GP, but a week later I've not been contacted. Kinda hoped I'd have a letter by now. Am I being impatient, considering they aim to see you by 10 weeks? Thanks

EmilyK83 · 16/06/2017 09:00

Ooh those lines are amazing Unglamorous mum!

Hey TheLovely - similar to me! I turned 34 at the weekend, first pregnancy, first month of ttc, due Feb 14th so apparently 5+2...

Update this morning: boobs definitely feeling sore now, and the gas and constipation have kicked in. Oh this is so glamorous...

TriJo · 16/06/2017 09:23

Supper I filled in the self-referral form online last Friday, got an auto-reply saying "we aim to contact you within a few days" but no response. I might ring them today and see what the story is. I do remember having to chase the midwives up a bit the last time though. Still early though here, 5+3 or 5+4 depending on which calculator you're using.

EmilyK83 · 16/06/2017 09:32

Supper I phoned earlier this week, and they confirmed my booking in appointment there and then for mid-July - also got a group appointment thing this coming Monday...

BabyButton2 · 16/06/2017 10:20

Morning all.

Just trying to catch up on the last few days posts. I hope you are all ok today.

Sending lots of hugs and thoughts to all those who have had bad news this week...❤️ and to all those who are having horrible sickness etc.

Is anyone else really faint and dizzy? I haven't got any sickness symptoms but I'm extremely light headed especially when standing and walking. I saw my gp yesterday for booking in app. She said my BP was very low so sent me for full blood tests straight away. She didn't suggest why but just said to coke straight back if it gets any worse. We are having a mummy toddler day on the sofa as I can't do much else.

Xx

Supper16 · 16/06/2017 10:26

Thank you TriJo and EmilyK83 for your help! Yes I also got the auto-reply saying 'we'll be in touch soon'. Think I may try and call them then - I only found out at 6+3 so feeling apprehensive that I've had no official contact with the NHS yet. Though I feel well, apart from some painful bloating Smile

GingerRogers84 · 16/06/2017 10:53

@Supper16 @TriJo @EmilyK83
I'm 6 weeks with my first and had no idea I could refer myself to a midwife. I thought I had to go through the GP.
I sound like an idiot but how did you self refer?
I also live in Wales so it might be different! 🤔

EmilyK83 · 16/06/2017 10:57

Ginger I'm in Bristol...I phoned the GP and they checked where my midwife would be, I then called the centre to make my booking in appointment. Was told by GP I could see them if I wanted to, but that everything would be done through the midwife...I'm a total newbie to this so I had no idea what to expect!
