Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

@Tigger83 -so so sorry darling Sadmuch love Flowers

VocalCat · 08/06/2017 17:02

So sorry Tigger.

Glad to hear that conker and I would recommend omeprazole although your GP will need to prescribe it but it is the only effective thing for me.

PumbletonWakeshaft · 08/06/2017 17:38

@Conker 3rd July for me, but that's because I requested a specific midwife (ie not the shockingly awful one I had last time!). I got Gaviscon on prescription for my heartburn last time too x

Thattwatoverthere · 08/06/2017 18:19

Sorry to hear that Tigger Flowers
I'm due 7th Feb, LMP was 5th May but I tend to have short cycles so I'm hoping I'm a bit further along. Weirdly only a week ago I was sad as it would have been the due date of a MMC baby I was pg with last year, weird how things work.
It's a complete surprise to me and OH as we've not been together long but he's thrilled after a night of no sleep and processing it which is a huge relief.
Now just to hope that it sticks! I made a midwife appointment for next week so I can get referred for a reassurance scan. Until I get to 8 weeks and see a heartbeat I won't be able to relax too much.
I'm having a lot of cramping which I don't remember from the first time so fingers crossed that it's a positive thing. No bleeding or spotting apart from after some straining Blush but I didn't have that first time around either.
And is anyone else completely full of air?? I'm feeling quite gross right now. And so bloated...

Sjjr23 · 08/06/2017 19:45

Any tips to deal with a constant pounding headache and horrendous nausea?
Eating little and often coupled with some anti sickness tablets from the doctor but not touching it
Exhausted already with a 3 year old and work Confused

SofiePendragon · 08/06/2017 20:32

Sijjr that sounds horrible! Trying to keep hydrated - maybe frequent sips of water? Also, plenty of sleep/rest if possible as the exhaustion won't be helping at all (easier said than done I know, esp with toddler).

Sanchezwasntdirty · 08/06/2017 20:32

Thattwat I'm so bloated it's unreal I'm seriously struggling to fit into my work trousers! I can't stop eating which isn't helping though... mad craving for cheese and pickle on crackers tonight. DP has been really good and bought me crackers but has limited me to 2 before dinner, the spoil sport!

TriJo · 08/06/2017 20:42

Sanchez Bloated as hell here too, I look way further on than 4 weeks!

conkerchops · 08/06/2017 22:25

So bloated here too!!! Jeans really hurting me on my walk this eve!!! Have just cracked
Open the dairy milk to get through election night!!!!!

VocalCat · 08/06/2017 22:50

Wish I had Dairy Milk! Am so tired in the evenings at the moment.

Thira · 08/06/2017 23:14

Enormous bloat and heartburn solidarity from me! I feel like a beached whale

Thattwatoverthere · 08/06/2017 23:56

So glad others are with me on the bloat (whilst also feeling sorry for you!). My friends tonight were trying to convince me that rather than being full of air as I thought, I should actually be expecting to find twins in there. Now I'm a bit Hmm

MrsFrankTurner · 09/06/2017 08:01

I keep having bleeds! It's really unnerving me Sad it's reddy brown (sorry tmi Shock) no cramping and it stops as the day goes on ....I'm away for the weekend now so going to retest Monday unless I get cramping/heavier bleeding
Others who bleed -what's it like? I never bled with my other 3

Alicantine · 09/06/2017 08:14

Sorry Tigger

I have no symptoms whatsoever with a LMP at 5/5/2017. I almost envy those of you who are bloated and with heartburn and everything. I have only done the one test but I dread doing any other. If it weren't for the missed periods I'd feel totally normal Shock

GingerRogers84 · 09/06/2017 08:23

@Alicantine I was the same until yesterday! Now I am actually getting acid heartburn! Bleugh! Still the only symptom though!

Rockaby · 09/06/2017 09:19

6 weeks plus 2 today. Nausea seems to be slowly creeping in here. I'm relieved tbh, but now second guessing myself and wondering if I'm willing myself into nausea iyswim Confused.

Another 'symptom' I've just noticed is I have a really fat face Confused. All puffy and not terribly attractive Grin. Has anyone else got this or am I the only lucky one Wink?

Firsttimeandclueless · 09/06/2017 10:06

No bloating over here yet but I'm sure it will come! 😮

Mrs Frank I have had brown spotting from about two days after my first positive test. Might only be two spots a day when I wipe (sorry TMI...so much TMI) . I still have it so far! From what I can see online, there's no need to worry unless it becomes heavy with pain. I've just decided to try to put it out of my mind. I have no way of stopping it after all. Sending a huge hug 🤗🤗 We'll get through the next few weeks together!

I finally made a doctor's appointment to have it confirmed on the 22nd June @9:20am. I'll be seven weeks by then so hopefully they can show me something on an ultrasound. I have no clue.

Also made a midwife appointment for the 28th June @2pm. Starting to feel SO real now.

lookatthemoon · 09/06/2017 11:44

Rockaby - me too! I have been nauseous for a couple of days and today was particularly bad but I spent most of the day thinking I was tricking myself into feeling it or that I have a bug. 🙄

i'm working from home at the mo and I think that is worse as I have fewer distractions and more time to play mind games with myself.

TriJo · 09/06/2017 14:24

Firsttime Probably no need for a GP appointment if you've already self referred to the midwives. It's very unlikely you'd get an ultrasound without paying for one privately separately.

Just ordered a Jojo Maman Bebe maternity/nursing dress because it was cheap on eBay - might be tempting fate a little, but fuck it, DS is still breastfeeding so it will have some use regardless and jeans are annoying me right now.

pretzelpieces · 09/06/2017 15:15

I'm not seeing the midwife until I'm 9 weeks. Seems like ages to wait, but I guess it doesn't really matter when it is as long as my scan is booked in time for nuchal fold measurements.

Sorry to hear about the spotting Mrsfrank and firsttime, hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

MrsFrankTurner · 09/06/2017 15:57

Thanks for the info @Firsttimeandclueless -I'm bleeding quite heavily now (like a period) I'm 4+4 -pretty sure I'm m/c which is shitty as up until a week ago I honestly thought I couldn't get pregnant again Sad
No cramping but I can sense the inevitability of it all -away with my family & refuse to let our little break be ruined so going to power through and just try to pretend it's a heavy period. I'll retest Monday just to confirm

Firsttimeandclueless · 09/06/2017 16:26

I think my practice just don't believe me 😂😂 They wouldn't let me see the midwife until after I've had my pregnancy confirmed by a GP? I suspect they are quite overrun to be honest as they serve a large area but only have the midwives in for two afternoons a week. Maybe it's to make sure they only get definitive pregnant laddies? No clue really 😂😂

Thanks so much Pretzel I think I'll be around 9 weeks before I see an actual midwife too. They said it would take approx. 1hour? I guess they do a urine test and stuff! I'm anxious to get the nuchal fold test too.

MrsFrank I'm so sorry to hear you're worried. I have read quite a bit online and it really isn't uncommon to bleed during the first trimester. I'm planning on doing a test on Monday too, just to see if my HCG/line is any darker. Maybe we can test together? Hand hold for Monday!

Try not to worry too much, this 12week stuff is pretty scary. 😧

Have you got in touch with a doctor? Maybe give him/her a call on Monday if the test is positive and just explain?

💐💐

RainyDayBear · 09/06/2017 16:37

Oh MrsFrank that's so rubbish. I'm so sorry if it is a loss, though obviously hope it isn't. Keeping fingers crossed!

Only 4+1 so main symptoms so far are minor cramping, sore nipples and bloated. I'm dreading morning sickness kicking in - though know it is considered a good sign - as I was so poorly with it last time. I'm trying to keep this quiet from work as I only started a new job six months ago, and am just hoping that sickness won't force me to show my hand too early!

RainyDayBear · 09/06/2017 16:43

First The booking in appointment is usually an hour because they get a detailed medical history and background information about you and your partner, go through pregnancy guidelines to make sure you're aware of them all and they take about four blood samples! Don't know if they do for second babies as I think they're to check for various antibodies? Am hoping I'll get out of that bit this time round!

Usually the other appointments are much shorter and straightforward, just a blood pressure and urine check mainly. After 16 weeks mine listened in to the heart beat each time, that's the best bit!

conkerchops · 09/06/2017 17:57

So sorry to hear bleeding Has got heavier @mrsfrank - sending you lots of v I mumsnetty hugsxx
Hope you can have a nice weekend with your family though - and that bleeding eases - we're all thinking of you!
