Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

Pumble same due date as me!

Night shifts are shit when pregnant. I've decided.

PumbletonWakeshaft · 06/06/2017 16:18

@limomo82 I hear you. Just spent an hour in bed whilst DS was napping. It's becoming a habit and I'm only 5 weeks! I really want to eat healthily this time, but the treats are already sneaking in as I need a pick me up...

Rockaby · 06/06/2017 16:21

Yep, I forget I'm pregnant sometimes too!

I am 6 weeks tomorrow. I am now wishing I'd kept a diary last time so I could look up what symptoms I had at this point. I've really had nothing major at all so far Confused. Although, I was fecking freezing last night, which I didn't even know was a symptom till someone mentioned it on here! I had to take a hot water bottle to bed which is strange for June in SE England.

I'm fairly sure I was very nauseous a couple of weeks after finding out I was pregnant last time. Hmmmmmm. I'm trying to be relaxed this time but.. hmmmmm...

Anyway, I hope everyone is well. Roll on the 12 week mark! I'm sure we'll feel a bit less stressed out then.

Rockaby · 06/06/2017 16:28

pumble

Same here with the treats. If I'm tired I hit the treats to keep me going. I'm trying not to as much as possible, but sometimes only a chocolate biscuit will do Smile!

Melody85 · 06/06/2017 17:18

I'm exactly the same with the treats too, been so tired today I just ate two slices of cake 😳 Let's hope this tiredness shoves off soon!
On another note, is anyone planning on having an early scan? And how early can you actually see a heartbeat? I've convinced myself something isn't right so think it will ease my mind. Still not totally sure how far gone I am either as based on when I ovulated I think i'm 5weeks 5 days but the doctor based it on the 1st day of my last period so thinks I'm 7 and a half weeks.. basically do you think it would be too soon to book an early scan for next week? Xx

Rockaby · 06/06/2017 17:20

It's dated from your last period melody, definitely not when you ovulated. I read somewhere that they can see a heartbeat from about 6 weeks Smile.

Melody85 · 06/06/2017 17:30

Thanks rockaby. The only reason I'm not sure it's right to go from the first day of my period is I have really long cycles (41 days) so I didn't ovulate until nearly 4 weeks after the first day of my period.. I don't know I'm still so confused! 6 weeks is earlier than I thought for a heartbeat though, think I'll book in an early scan for next week 😊

Rockaby · 06/06/2017 17:36

Oh you're the opposite to me then melody. I have slightly short cycles!

With DD I had to have an early scan at around 10 weeks and they were able to date the pregnancy then by measuring, which made my due date a few days earlier than counting from last period. I have no idea when they can do that from though.

Tigger83 · 06/06/2017 17:56

Hi all.... tentatively joining the bus. Got my bfp on Friday so edd 13th Feb. Had mmc in April @ 10 weeks. I've been in a horrible panic as my tests aren't getting any darker and I'm so scared I'm going to lose this little bean too. I'm 14dpo and conceived cycle 2 post surgical management for the mmc. I'm trying to keep positive and not test any more. I'll be having an early scan at 6 weeks hopefully, to check for ectopic as I have endometriosis and so slightly higher risk.

RainyDayBear · 06/06/2017 18:05

This early stage is so hard with all the worry, sounds doubly so for you Tigger, fingers crossed for a good outcome. I think you have to leave a fair few days between tests to notice them getting darker, so try not to worry too much.

Melody Heart beat is detectable from six weeks or so, last time we had one privately at eight weeks and it was nice to hear the heartbeat and see pictures of our small blob! Don't know if we'll have one this time around though.

conkerchops · 06/06/2017 18:12

Hi @tigger! I'm same as you had surgical management for mmc at end of march and conceived this bean second cycle afterwards (just had one period in between!) I have been stressing the darkness of tests too - has been driving me crazy so know I have to step away to regain some sanity!!!!
First trimester is so so so hard after miscarriage - particularly a small missed one as I feel that my body tricked me that everything was ok when it really wasn't !

Tigger83 · 06/06/2017 18:39

Conker it's bloody awful isn't it. Second guessing everything and trying not to get your hopes up in case they're dashed. My back aches and so I'm now worrying about that lol. It's exhausting. On top of that I've got a really bad virus so feel rough.

SofiePendragon · 06/06/2017 19:15

Melody If you have longer cycles then it's likely you're not quite as far along as your GP suggested. If you know when you ovulated (through temping or opks) there are some online calculators that will tell you based on that. The problem is that it's quite difficult to know exactly when you ovulated, so your dates still might change when you have your scan.

I got my bfp on CD47 and I'm not sure exactly when I ovulated but I think I'm probably 5-6 weeks, although if I go by af I'd be 8 weeks now.

scottishbride · 06/06/2017 19:54

Hi ladies!
I had an early scan today- thought I would be 7 weeks based on period but apparently only 6. The scanner thought my breastfeeding may have delayed ovulation.
Still having horrendous cramps, had to crawl around after ds this afternoon but relieved it's not ectopic. In bed now and will contact midwife tomorrow.
I must say that I didn't really find the heartbeat very reassuring as sure my last mc was after 6 weeks but I hadn't had a scan!

ElsieMae13 · 06/06/2017 19:57

Hi all - can't believe how with it you all sound! I've got my BFP for baby number 1 and so far the surgery won't give me an appointment, I can't reach a midwife and the pharmacist is the only person I've been able to speak to! Feel like this can't possibly be right but no idea what to do?? Think I'm 6 weeks but my clear blue said 1-2 weeks (but I did use my afternoon wee as I was so desperate for a result!) so, majorly confused and unable to get medical input which is not what a stressed tired first time pregnant girl needs!!! Rant over 😂

JewJew · 06/06/2017 20:07

I had a positive last week and estimate I'm due around the start of February.
I'm in the process of moving from Scotland to England, am absolutely exhausted but so excited and very very nervous.
Good luck to you all and I hope we all have healthy pregnancies

RainyDayBear · 06/06/2017 20:19

Rockaby Thank you so much for your diary comment, I just remembered that last time I tracked my symptoms in the early days on an app (Ovia) - just redownloaded it and it's all there! I pretty much had abdominal cramping for the entire first month, so seeing that has been really reassuring.

Elsie Check your local maternity services website, a lot let you self refer, I did that today.

VocalCat · 06/06/2017 21:06

Sofie timings are difficult for me as well. I have long and irregular cycles and I also am concerned due to my age. I also have quite a long wait for my booking in appointment and it is only after that appointment I will be referred for my 12 week scan, which worries me in case I am then out of time for the nuchal measurements.

VocalCat · 06/06/2017 21:08

Elsie those ClearBlue have a bit of a reputation for unnecessarily worrying some women. I know it is easily said, but try not to worry.

emwithme · 06/06/2017 21:24

Elsie The clearblue digitals tell you how far it is since conception. Your due date (and how pregnant you are) is calculated on time since your last period. That's why there's usually a 2 - 3 week difference in the two.

I am v stressed at the moment. Expecting everything to go wrong. Just so worried. I am trying to relax about it all but not very successfully.

Have midwife in 2 weeks. Am going to book a reassurance scan for the end of the month when I will be 8 weeks. Didn't quite make it to 8 weeks last time, started bleeding at 7+2.

ChocChipCookie2 · 06/06/2017 21:39

Hello! I'm due on the 15th Feb. This is my second time around, I have a ds who is 21 months. Ttc has been a long journey and I'm so glad to finally get my bfp. I'm feeling tired and having achy cramps but I do remember having these symptoms last time.

VocalCat · 07/06/2017 08:36

Congratulations ChocChip and I hope things go smoothly for you.

ElsieMae13 · 07/06/2017 09:15

Thanks all for your thoughts - I'm trying to keep cool and will havw a look at self referrals. So nice to hear other early symptoms - I think my husband thinks I'm exaggerating how tired I am!

VocalCat · 07/06/2017 10:11

I think you can get an early scan from around seven or eight weeks Elsie. Good luck and hope it goes well. The tiredness from pregnancy is horrible!

Sanchezwasntdirty · 07/06/2017 10:23

How's everyone feeling today? Any new symptoms yet? Last night DP had to take my dinner off me before I was threatening to be sick just looking at it... fun times
