Hello! Just got my bfp, would love to join up with others expecting next Feb.

My DD is 16 months, so we're expecting (almost exactly!) a 2yr age gap all being well. EDD 2nd Feb.

Tortoise - my due date is 4 Feb too! I think I'm 5+2 today.

limomo82 · 05/06/2017 13:19

Hello!
Is anyone else experiencing sickness and nausea already? I didn't get this with DS1.

I've also been running a low level temperature for three days and I'm all shakey like it's flu.

VocalCat · 05/06/2017 13:50

Just catching up and hope everyone is ok.

I've finally made a booking in appointment which will be at the end of the month. Not knowing my dates has made things really difficult but hopefully I'll get my 12 week scan in enough time to be able to have chromosome testing done.

Despite this being planned and feeling very overwhelmed to start with, I am now looking forward and feeling excited.

conkerchops · 05/06/2017 15:55

@lookatthemoon yes it is the British 10k around all the famous sights of London - am really looking forward to it! And one of my friends has signed up to run with me so should be a fab event - just want to make sure I am not doing anything that would put me or baby at risk! But I have been a runner for over 4 years and I felt fab after my 7k yesterday - a little tired but I think that's to be expected?
Am trying v hard to step away from the test but the lure to see the lines getting darker is strong! After miscarriage I think you just want to grasp at any reassurance?
Have had horrible heart burn since my bfp which is making me v nauseous! Bring on the invention of womb cam!!!!!

TriJo · 05/06/2017 16:32

Conkerchops Maybe jog around if you're concerned or its hot? You'll see the sights and enjoy the day without too much strain.

I'm supposed to be racing a 10k on the 28th in Victoria Park as well...

conkerchops · 05/06/2017 16:54

@trijo - we will probably Jeff it - am building in some walking breaks for us! It's the heat I'm most worried about in terms of the running on the day as I usually run once it has cooled down in the evening!

Toomanydogs · 05/06/2017 19:41

limomo82 yep I'm feeling so nauseous today struggling to eat anything, been getting awful heartburn as well! But I've never been happier to feel so rubbish lol.

conkerchops · 05/06/2017 20:23

It is reassuring to feel rubbish isn't it :-)

Binglesplodge · 05/06/2017 20:53

Is anyone else having trouble sleeping? I'm glad my toddler still naps: I'm doing the same at the moment because I'm waking in the night, tossing and turning, weeing, and generally NOT SLEEPING at night... I don't remember this from the first time and it's so frustrating.

VocalCat · 05/06/2017 20:56

Yes Bingleslidge although from heartburn as much as insomnia. I wish my toddler napped still!

Sanchezwasntdirty · 05/06/2017 21:04

Toomany I had heartburn last week it drove me mad!

Bingle I've not been sleeping well either every night between 2.30 and 5.30 I'm wide awake

Toomanydogs · 05/06/2017 21:17

I've never had heartburn before but it's horrible and I'm only sitting at the moment, dreading trying to sleep! Have been having really weird and vivid dreams, struggling to get to sleep then waking up suddenly way too early- guess my body is preparing me! (Hopefully!)

conkerchops · 05/06/2017 21:22

The heart burn is v icky! I had a costa de cafe latte at a work meeting today and have been suffering ever since!!!!

TriJo · 05/06/2017 21:43

Bingle Finding it hard to get asleep and stay asleep - but having a 1 year old demanding boob at 5am doesn't help!

RainyDayBear · 05/06/2017 22:21

Hello! I was hoping there'd already be a thread over here. I got my rather unexpected BFP today; DP and I are still in complete shock. We have a 16-month-old DD and although we were planning to start TTC Baby #2 at some point in the next year, this was rather a surprise! We will be pleased about it once we've processed it (I hope!).

Rough EDD is around 10th Feb, around two weeks after DD's 2nd birthday which is just terrifying!

MrsFrankTurner · 05/06/2017 22:27

Yay congrats @RainyDayBear you are due about the same time as me!
Insomnia is awful Sad I am awake 2-5ish and have exams so struggling to concentrate! I tend to be an insomniac anyway Confused

Firsttimeandclueless · 06/06/2017 07:20

Congrats RainyDay

My EDD is the 8th so not too far behind you. :)

I've been having a hard time sleeping at night too, not ideal 😫
And my boobs hurt so so much! Sorry if it is TMI.
Still having the odd brown spotting, but just have to monitor it incase it becomes heavy or red.

Did not expect being pregnant to be as worrying as TTC! 😂😂

So glad to have this group!

PumbletonWakeshaft · 06/06/2017 11:46

Hello everyone I'm 5 weeks in today, due date 6th Feb by my calculations. Feels strange to start this process again (have 18 month old DS) but much more relaxed this time. So glad I found this board as desperate to blab my news to friends and family!

VocalCat · 06/06/2017 13:18

Is anyone considering or getting the harmony test?

SofiePendragon · 06/06/2017 13:28

Vocal I'm considering it. There's a place in London that seem to have a good offer for it along with a more detailed scan. Mainly considering because of my age and it's taken a long time for me to even get to this point. Timings going to be a bit tricky though as I'm not sure when I ovulated and the first scan is at 10 weeks.

TriJo · 06/06/2017 13:46

If that's the Fetal Medicine Centre - highly recommended. We had our early scan with them last time and they were fantastic.

MrsFrankTurner · 06/06/2017 14:12

@Firsttimeandclueless so glad to have this group too! So few people know it's lovely to pop on here & see we are all feeling similar!
I cannot concentrate on anything Confused this is such a limbo time I'm scared of m/c so don't want to get too excited but I just feel so lucky to be pregnant that I want to tell everyone!
I'm very weepy and my hair & skin are vile & greasy ......definitely not glowing Grin

RainyDayBear · 06/06/2017 14:51

I keep forgetting that I'm pregnant, have just been to toddler group with DD and was helping to tidy up with her on my hip and was lugging an enormous ride on tractor across the hall, and it occurred to me that I probably shouldn't be doing that!

I'd completely forgotten how stressful early pregnancy was, I struggled to sleep last night even after DD settled thinking about everything.

Symptom wise I'm just bloated with a lot of nagging uterus pains. Trying not to worry about those as I do remember having similar when I was pregnant last time!

limomo82 · 06/06/2017 14:56

Oh the tiredness! EDD is 10th Feb exactly a month before DS will be 4! Pregnancy and a threenager. Someone send all the (decaf) coffee my way!!

conkerchops · 06/06/2017 15:12

@rainydaybear - I do have moments where I keep forgetting aswell! Went out for lunch with friends today and it completely slipped my mind! Then heart burn kicked in again and it fully reminded me!!!!
Absolutely to have this thread to come and share with people in the exact same
