hannah I'm going bra shopping today can't wait to get a bigger size and feel comfortable, I'm literally spilling out! If anyone is going to be suspicious that I'm pregnant it'll be because of the obvious change in size of my boobs! Either that or they'll think I've had sneaky boob job without telling!! 😂

I did the bra shop last weekend. Such a relief having them well supported! Also think it makes it less obvious when you're not suddenly sporting the 4-boob look!

Had my booking in appt today! It's actually beginning to feel real!!!

Crazy how much your body can change in such a short space of time isn't it? My mum said to me when I told her that the only way she could describe the feeling of being pregnant is that your body isn't your own anymore, and that's exactly how I feel at the minute! Can't wait to get a proper little bump though!

So had midwife appt today where she took medical history, bp, & bloods. Then my scan date will be sent to me in the post. Also got my 16 week appt booked in! Sounds miles away!!!!

Amanda are you taking pregnacare with food? If I take it on an empty stomach it makes me feel sick but it's fine if I take it with a meal.

I was huge with my first. My DH told me at 20 weeks I was bigger than his sis who was 34. I was not happy. Doing ok with this one so far. No idea when I had to switch to maternity last time though. Must have been after 12 weeks though.

All, this is probably an extremely stupid question but you know the bloods they take at your booking appointment, do you normally get some sort of results given to you? My appointment was 10 days ago but not heard anything. Do I assume all is well? Xx

@HannahD1991 they would contact you if there was anything to be worried about I would think? If not, from what I remember they put the results in your notes at some point (maybe at the next appt)?

I'm 9 weeks today and still feel awful!

Had my booking in appointment yesterday. Was just under an hour. Midwife seemed very nice. I think I probably talked too much but that's the way I am

I'm so excited for my scan date to come through I'm going to be running to the letterbox every morning when the post comes!

We've told a few close family members and friends now. Mostly very surprised due to our bigger age gap.

I'm pretty sure they just contact you if anything comes up in bloods. This is what happened in my first pregnancy when the bloods showed I was anaemic.

Got my appointment letter today. Appointment for Friday 30th. So looking forward to it.

Just been catching up on everyone's news after a busy week of work. Just tomorrow to go then three days off to relax!
Am a bit anxious because my brown spotting has come back but trying not to stress too much about it.
My booking in appointment isn't till June 23rd when I'll be at least 11 weeks. Do you think that's too late?
I guess I'm just a bit nervous about getting any screening done in time, especially due to my age!

@HannahD1991 just saw this in one of the booklets they gave me today.

@Bringmethechips it's late for just booking-in, but perhaps it's a combined appointment of booking in and scan. Here we don't have a booking-in appointment at all, the MW just sees you briefly to write the referral letter, ask about your LMP date and do a pee test (a 10 minute appointment), and then that's you until the 12 week scan which also includes all the booking-in questions/forms. With my appointment letter, I got a pack in the post with a preliminary form to fill out and return, information about the blood tests, and a run-down of what will happen at the appointment. You can always try to ring them and ask, and explain you are worried about getting in for screening in time (screening can be done anytime between 10 weeks and 13+6).

chips everywhere has different rules. My appointment was due to be late like that and it's only changed as I needed to move it for work. I tried to have it next week when I'll be 8 weeks and they said it's too early, however I know that's the norm in other areas. Just call them if you're worried about anything like that and they'll explain what happens with scan dates etc x

@Bringmethechips I'm the same with brown spotting. Seemed to be on and off since 5 weeks! It's normal though so try not to worry too much! I went the EPU at 6 weeks and was reassured everything ok and it was very common.

I'm feeling very nauseous tonight, craving an ice lolly, might have to go the shop!

Feeling very sick myself, but consoling myself with 'this too shall pass'.

Anyone else have lower left cramping? It's manageable but a constant ache this evening. I hope it's just growing pains 🤞🏻

Hannah - my freezer is full of ice lollies as they get me through every ailment I've ever had since I was a kid. Cold, sweet, hydrating, and easy to eat, they always worked wonders whatever the problem. I'm living on them at the mo!

Hi abbi congratulations we have the same due date! How are things so far for you?

Thing I had my first morning of feeling a bit rough...felt like something in my throat, a bit like that feeling you have when hung over as if you feel like you may vom. It went way after having a lemonade ice lolly randomly so rose maybe I need to stock up too!!! Roll on the morning...

Everything's going okay so far....the only symptom I've got is constant nausea, but I've been eating a mini flapjack n it seems to help. I've had to run to the toilets at work a few times but no actual sickness yet.

Hopefully you feel okay this morning, have you had a booking in appointment yet?

Been having cramps through the night and when I went for a pee just a couple mins ago there was some very light blood when I wiped. Pee was very dark too (sorry if tmi)

I'm worried :( I don't know whether to just give it a few hours and drink loads of water and see how it goes or go straight EPU?
