Oh absolutely @MaryShelley1818 🙂 Totally a personal choice for each person. For me as there was no price difference and it covered a wider spectrum of conditions, I took the view that the Panorama (both Panorama and Harmony NIPTs, just by different companies) suited us better. I'm already fully acknowledging that I'm probably OTT anyway given my combined test results but hopefully this helps remove any little niggles I have to give me better peace of mind.

MaryShelley1818 · 24/05/2017 19:35

Absolutely bikerchick! I'd have 100% done exactly the same thing as you (even with your great combined test results) as I'm such a worrier! Lol xx

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 24/05/2017 19:39

Ditto re being a worrier! And I rather suspect there are more of us on here! 😂

MontyPants · 24/05/2017 19:48

TipTop she made me wiggle my hips loads, and then I had to go for a wee as my bladder was in the way! Baby was moving loads at the beginning and then when she was trying to check the fluid, it slowed down, just rolled to face us. Naughty baby! Haha. They are just doing a blood test in a few weeks instead. Are you having the same?

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 24/05/2017 19:52

😂 @MontyPants Cheeky little one you've got there!

CuddledUpWithMyCat · 24/05/2017 19:59

Do we have a secret Facebook group to chat on about our pregnancies etc yet?

TipTop333 · 24/05/2017 20:09

Monty yes, the quad test at 15 weeks. Is that the same one as you? They made me go for THREE WEES to get baby moving, stopping and starting wees is not fun!

glastogal · 24/05/2017 20:10

Great scan Monty!! Seems your baby has all the energy.. mine was a lazy little so and so and the sonographer gave my belly a strong jiggle (to my horror!) to wake it up and get it to move around 😂

Great pic monty

Pleased you're going for some extra reassurance bikerchick I think we'd all take any reassurance we could get!

pauseplayrepeat · 24/05/2017 21:06

Great scan pic monty! We had the opposite problem that baby wouldn't stay still long enough to measure. I think the coffee and cake I had half an hour before the scan may have had something to do with it Blush

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/05/2017 22:07

Amazing scan monty. Sure they will get you checked out via the blood test in a few weeks then by the sounds of things.

How far along are you now? So happy for you that all was ok. I'm fairly sure I'm going to be just as nervous next week!!

I am quite excited about hopefully, all being well, being able to tell people about our news after next week!

MontyPants · 24/05/2017 22:50

I was measured at 12+4. Which makes my due date 2nd December, so baby is 2 days older than I thought. Might even get a November baby 😬

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/05/2017 22:54

That's so exciting Monty. Really pleased for you.

I'm so so hot tonight. Had bedroom windows open for ages and a fan on in our room but I'm still boiling and I can't sleep Confused. Hopefully I'll drop off soon.......

Mrsbluebell17 · 25/05/2017 03:40

So I dropped off but now I'm awake again. Arghhhhh. Driving myself round the bend with these middle of the night wake ups - although I used to go through phases like this before I was pregnant too. On the plus side I woke up to a message from some close friends to say their newest arrival is here safe and sound so that's amazing. So happy for them.

Hope you're all managing to sleep ok.

11 weeks today, yay!

Peachi82 · 25/05/2017 04:22

I'm awake as well... As usual. No wonder I'm so tired during the day......

Yesterday was a bit better. I even had some of the dinner I cooked for us the night before. And kept it all in!!

Getting a bit impatient with knowing if everything is OK inside me, scan date is middle of June, this seems like ages away. My boyfriend's birthday is before and I'm sure we're seeing his family before the scan for a get together, not sure if we should keep it in or tell them the news already. My family knows, but this is different, at least for me.

CarlottaJo · 25/05/2017 06:47

Morning All! Loving all these wonderful scans. 2 weeks today until mine. Sorry I've been a bit quiet, was 3 long days at work so been reading but not replying. Was off yesterday and spent the day cleaning as my flat was awful after feeling so rotten, I then had a 2 hour nap haha. Getting my nails done today, an NHS workers annual leave dream! Feeling ok, have an upset tummy most mornings which wakes me up but the nausea has definitely lessened xx

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 25/05/2017 07:14

Just enquired re NCT. There is an antenatal course for December babies which takes place between 1-15 Oct. Is it just me or does that seem quite late? I'm due somewhere between 30 Nov (according to size) and 2 Dec (according to my LMP and ovulation dates) so I'm gonna be HUGE by the time of the course and waddling around uncomfortably, surely? Confused

Mrsbluebell17 · 25/05/2017 07:27

Sorry to hear you couldn't sleep too peachi. In the end I got up and had a drink and a biscuit to try and calm my gurgling stomach and it eventually helped me to sleep. Shattered now though. Hope you slept again eventually.

Enjoy your nails and your annual leave Carlotta!!

Biker I'm not sure to be honest as I don't know enough about the courses etc. Sorry I can't help. Maybe you could find out if there's one for those due in November that is perhaps a bit earlier, as you're kind of on the cusp of the two months?

LapinR0se · 25/05/2017 07:44

My course was at 7 months pregnant. I did find it extremely uncomfortable. I'd check what they have for you to sit on...I ended up fainting having sat on a hard wooden chair for 2 hours

leighdinglady · 25/05/2017 07:48

biker my local NCT is October for December due dates too. I think that's normal.
I'm not sure whether to join. It's over £200 and I'm not sure what exactly you get for that. It seems a lot of money for 5 sessions if that's it.

Chamonix1 · 25/05/2017 07:50

Morning everyone. Lovely to see some wonderful scans coming through. Congratulations to you all that have had a healthy baby confirmed. I have my scan tomorrow at 12.4 days (by my dates) and the fear is kicking in.
I was a little naive when I had dd to all the potential complications and thought "I've not bled so everything will be fine at my scan" and now I know better I'm working myself up. Not like I can do anything about the result of the scan. Trying to relax!
Hope everyone is starting to feel more human now.
Smile

LapinR0se · 25/05/2017 07:59

The £200 isn't really for the content of the course, it's to meet other mums who will become your support network.
That didn't actually happen for me as our group got on absolutely fine but never really gelled and so we only met up 3 or 4 times afterwards.
My only caveat on NCT content is that they are obsessed with natural birth and breastfeeding on demand. They are anti c-section and anti formula or routine. So I would take what they say with a pinch of salt, form your opinions about all of that but definitely go to see if you have a nice bunch of people living nearby to hook up with.

Brens13 · 25/05/2017 08:01

Aw I was awake at 3:45 too so could have joined the early morning posters. Just managed to get into a dream-filled sleep as the DH came in to say goodbye (5:45am) Grin I'd switched to the spare room as I was fidgeting all over the place and too hot.

I only did some quick NCT research mainly for locations but I think most of mine were October as well. I guess they don't want you to forget anything!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 25/05/2017 08:25

Yeah, it looks like the courses generally start 8 weeks before your due month, which probably works better timing-wise for those due at the end of the month than at the beginning. Some branches do courses for due dates which range from mid-month to mid-month, which I think would suit me better, but mine doesn't.

But given everyone says the most valuable part of NCT is the local mom-friends you could make, I'm not sure if I want to be amongst the first or the last in the group to give birth, so comfort aside that's what I'm currently mulling over to see if I should go for the November or December due date course...

Sereniela · 25/05/2017 08:33

I had my 12 week scan yesterday (on 'exactly' 12 weeks)... dated me at 8+5! So much for dating on the LMP Hmm - EDD has gone from 6th to the 29th now, and need another scan next month as it was too early to do any of the tests!

Also, will totally disregard the 'drink 1 litre of fluid' before, as it made my bladder far too full and i had to partially empty it before they could see anything...

I was getting relieved that the first trimester was ending, now i have another month to go Shock
