I have all sort of aches and pains too.. sometimes period like, sometimes a bit more stabby (especially if I twist suddenly), currently enjoying an extended bout of nether region pain.. the fun never ends!! Don't worry mrsB, I think it's all part of the territory 😘😘 x

Don't panic bikerchick, I'm sure the occasional thing slips through for most people.. I accidentally ate chorizo and slightly pink beef last weekend. Didn't even occur to me until afterwards!!

Thanks hon. Yeah, I've forgotten with soft cheese before (was baked but not all the way through) too. Roe though - could kick myself after trying to be so careful! Confused

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/05/2017 01:33

Thanks glasto and biker. Really appreciated you replying and your explanations. I'm hopeful it was a one off of something stretching as it should for a little while but I am worried.

I am wide awake at the moment, having been asleep for a bit earlier, as I'm roasting hot and stressing. Irritating myself tonight with tossing and turning haha.

I just can't sleep

Hmm
Peachi82 · 24/05/2017 06:01

I also have cramps and stabby pains from time to time, sometimes in the ovary region, sometimes more in the cervix area. Coughing, sneezing, laughing is the worst. I think it's because the muscles need to get loose a little bit for the growing womb.

Had such a bad night last night. I had the energy to cook for my boyfriend and me before he came home. And shortly before we started eating I started puking, so didn't have any of the nice tea and went to bed nauseated and without food. Meh.

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/05/2017 06:08

Sorry to hear you were sick peachi. Are you feeling better this morning?

Thanks for the reassurance re the pain.

MaryShelley1818 · 24/05/2017 06:37

Morning everyone, thank you for the nice messages on the scan.

Bluebell I have loads of pains...some intense stabbing pain, and some cramp. Always worrying but think it's all normal stretching pains.
I'm roasting hot in the night too! Sleeping naked on top of the covers mostly! Lol! X

Beardy1 · 24/05/2017 07:27

bluebell I think we are EDD buddies still. I have similar pains and stretching feelings. I went through a couple of days when I was getting dagger pains in the vagina but that appears to be quite common. I also find I get sharp pains if I move too quick or if I have full bladder or a bowel movement. I think it comes with this pregnancy territory so try not to worry.
Also squirrel I had a misscarriage at the beginning of the year. Waited a period and was pregnant the next month. I recommend acupuncture to help u ovulate and get back on track as well as floradix (iron supplement drink- replace what you have lost). I just knew it would happen quickly again as I felt great. I also took viridian fertility supplements as well. Hope that helps.

Brens13 · 24/05/2017 07:32

Lovely pic MaryShelley and must have been great to see the baby move around so much. Congratulations Smile

ScotsLamb · 24/05/2017 07:39

Bluebell I get pains where I would guess my ovaries are. I've had them on and off since about 4 weeks. I'm now 9+6. I woke up this morning with a very full bladder and as I rolled over it felt like i had pulled a muscle. Whole time waddling to the loo and then once I relieved my bladder it had gone. I get the same if I sneeze. If I curl up into a wee ball before sneezing it doesn't hurt so much.
Wonderful pregnancy symptoms. I had horrible back pain between my shoulders yesterday and gaviscon cured it 🤔 Boobs are really sore today so it'll be nice soft bra. Only 211 days left until due date....

Beardy1 · 24/05/2017 07:59

scots the ball manoeuvre is one of my favourites for preventing a sharp pain when sneezing or gas moves.

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/05/2017 08:15

Thanks ladies that all makes sense. I sneezed a lot yesterday, think I've got hay fever. I wonder if that had a knock on effect and caused the pains I had in the early evening.

Thankfully they seem to have subsided.

I'm shattered after having a restless night and not sleeping amazingly. It's beautiful weather at the moment but that coupled with me already being boiling hot all the time is interesting! Might dig the fan out the garage later for tonight!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 24/05/2017 09:33

Oh bluebell - definitely empathising on the lack of sleep front! I've been using our fan for weeks now, and still too hot! 🔥

Beardy1 · 24/05/2017 09:58

On my way to see the obstetric/rheumatology clinic about my auto immune disease potentially causing the Baby to get congenital heart blocking. I'm feeling so worried to know what my chances are etc etc and what it will all entail. Luckily dh is coming with me. Keep fingers crossed guys.

Brens13 · 24/05/2017 10:05

Fingers crossed Beardy Flowers

CuddledUpWithMyCat · 24/05/2017 10:45

Hope you have a good appointment Beardy. I am under consultant led care for the same reason, so whilst it is not good you have the same anxiety and concerns it is nice to know someone else going through the same thing.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 24/05/2017 11:27

Good luck beardy x

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/05/2017 12:42

Hope all goes well for you beardy.
How is everyone else doing today? I'm exhausted and so hungry again today. Any more scans today etc?

CuddledUpWithMyCat · 24/05/2017 12:44

I'm still pretty much symptom free and whilst it is far more pleasant than being/feeling sick, I hate the anxiety it causes. I have to keep reminding myself that there is no sign of anything being wrong either.

Brens13 · 24/05/2017 12:51

I also am still the same as cuddledup. Would quite like to change the record and have a massive symptom to speak of, but nope.

Still only wanting to eat things that aren't particularly good for me. Had cucumber, celery and tomatoes packed for my lunch - had a couple of sticks of cucumber and couldn't face anymore. Not sure if that's a symptom or if I'm just using pregnancy as an excuse to just eat what I fancy lol.

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/05/2017 13:03

Brens I'm very much the same on the eating front. I am usually one to snack on fruit (and chocolate) but I'm not interested at all at the moment. Trying to eat veggies and salad with evening meals to ensure I'm getting some goodness.

Still no real interest in meals as such, finding it really hard to think up what to have for tea each night etc xx

Mrsbluebell17 · 24/05/2017 13:05

How long do I take vitamin D (which I was t taking but now am) and folic acid for?

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 24/05/2017 13:10

Surprisingly I was told by the MW that I only needed to take folic acid for the first trimester but I'm planning to continue taking Pregnacare Max for the whole pregnancy unless told it's harmful.

Beardy1 · 24/05/2017 13:14

Hi guys, thanks for the kind message.

I'm so happy my dh was there as some of the information is pretty scary and quite daunting really hence emotional pregnant lady. I'm low risk ( but considered high risk in pregnancy- weird) luckily but still will need to be monitored. I'll be scanned every 2 weeks from week 18 to 26 as that will show if the babies heart rate slows down which is the sign that my baby has congenital heart block. The options after that aren't great but I'm not going to focus on that as it's not productive right now.

cuddles let me know how you get on and when your appointment is. I agree it's not great for us both to be going through it but it's nice to have a fellow mum so we can support each other. I'm also allowed to have my steroid injection in my hip so I'm not in agony. That's going to be amazing!!

Brens13 · 24/05/2017 13:19

Hi Beardy I'm pleased the appointment went ok generally, and you have more information. My fingers will be crossed for you throughout and hopefully each scan will bring happy news.

Bluebell I'm the same with meals - so much that I've bought a couple of ready meals from Waitrose this week in the hope that it'll make me eat a full dinner rather than just toast or a sandwich, or more likely crisps! I've found if I've planned and prepped a meal for a set day I'll have a good stab at making myself cook and eat it, but if I don't even get that far then I'd rather just not bother as I don't know what I want on the day.
