teainbed · 27/05/2017 03:32

Ugh hot grumpy baby anyone else? I'm feeding and feeding and have windows open and a fan but having a crap night. Such a shame to wish for the nice weather to end but I wish it would! but I'll be moaning next week when it's rubbish again

Barnes79 · 27/05/2017 03:43

Tea. I've been up since 2am with a baby who is too tired to feed but not tired enough to sleep 😩

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 27/05/2017 06:34

Congratulations esmes, beachsands, fox and Claire. Hope you are all enjoying your brand new little ones.

Mighty this is not the voice of experience, just really feel for you. You've had so many things all on top of each other do keep letting us know how you feel as it's totally normal and you should take all the help you can. Agree with those who have prescribed a bit of iPlayer radio for your rest times or during feeding so you can still be connected with baby but pass the time quicker. Yesterday I enjoyed 'theo' the story of a teddy bear over several owners. Also a walk sounds good. Get a change of scenery, fresh air and break the day up. Hugs to you, the babies are changing fast it will pass.

teainbed · 27/05/2017 07:45

Hope you got some sleep @Barnes79 ! BabyTea eventually decided to have an hour but then was awake and smiling by 6.30! Utterly grim night but have got tea and toast and will have a quick bath, should feel more human shortly.

teainbed · 27/05/2017 07:46

Might have just referred to BabyTea to DH instead of his actual name ConfusedBlush

EsmesBees · 27/05/2017 09:20

Thanks all. I will post the birth story on the other thread, but it was a really positive experience. Not enjoying the afterpains though.

That does sound like a grim night tea. This heat and tiny babies does not mix.

Autumnsweater · 27/05/2017 09:27

Poor babies in this heat. I've been lucky to have good sleeps during pregnancy still but last night I was up and down due to the heat. It's so humid.

Second sweep today at 41 weeks, fingers crossed!! Had a minor meltdown to poor DH last night in the middle of playing a boardgame Grin, might have thrown my cards down cos I was losing Blush but was actually due to stress at having the induction chat today (honest! I'm not a bad loser!). Feel calmer today but I'm just going to go in and tell them straight away that the thought of it is stressing me out so that they tread carefully! Hate this feeling like there is a deadline.

Barnes79 · 27/05/2017 09:43

Anyone else getting snappish with DH? I know he can't help much during the night as I'm BF but this morning when Baby woke me up DH was showered, dressed and had eaten breakfast. I'm still in my pjs with baby attached like a limpet and he declares he's off to walk the dog. My sister is due with her 4 kids in half an hour so I had a bit of a snap about what he was actually going to do instead so I could shower!

I've managed the shower but again have limpet baby so am hoping my sister is her usual hour late so I can at least brush my wet hair.

Badgerbird · 27/05/2017 12:28

Congratulations esme!! Smile So pleased it was a positive experience.

Oh god barnes that's normal isn't it?? I can see many moments like that in my future Confused As fab as DH is he really doesn't see what needs doing like I do.
Hope afternoon goes well with sis and kids WineBrewCake

Right I've gotta get out, I have crazy irritable energy today.... early labour signs?! Clutching at straws Grin

Badgerbird · 27/05/2017 12:29

Good luck today autumn. Just tell them straight, your body!

Autumnsweater · 27/05/2017 13:02

Thanks Badger. Luckily it was my favourite midwife today which was good!!

Not so luckily blood pressure was consistently high before and after sweep (home visit). Not surprising given how stressed I was about appointment Hmm but having fave midwife definitely had calmed me down..

Having to go into hospital for bloods and further monitoring after lunch (!), Hopefully false alarm otherwise maybe induced sooner - I will consent to induction though if high BP remains.

savagehk · 27/05/2017 13:06

Little miss savage arrived yesterday around 10.30am, 9lb4. Didn't quite manage a home birth in the end as we got blue lighted in when i started pushing due to meconium and heart rate, but she was absolutely fine. I then lost a lot of blood though so glad we were in hospital when that happened.

teainbed · 27/05/2017 13:08

Good luck @Autumnsweater hope all is ok.

I've just done a postnatal exercise DVD. Ouch. But felt good to get started. I look fine but have no core stability and various muscles looking a bit sorry for themselves. There's no cardio or impact at this stage, it's sort of Pilates based I think.

teainbed · 27/05/2017 13:10

Wow @savagehk congratulations! That sounds dramatic, hope you're doing ok now.

Autumnsweater · 27/05/2017 13:30

Congratulations savage, sorry it ended up being so dramatic for you but glad you're both doing ok.

Barnes that sounds totally reasonable to snap there, it's all new for both of you though so he'll learn how best to help you and baby Barnes I'm sure!

FoxMulder · 27/05/2017 14:15

Congratulations savage!

MrsJW15 · 27/05/2017 14:36

Hi all, baby W arrived late Thursday night. Didn't quite go to plan - ended up with an emergency section. Baby Miriam is in special care still and I'm still on antibiotics. I'll write up the birth story - or as much of it as I can remember- on the other thread. Looks like I have a lot to catch up with here!

mrspage1985 · 27/05/2017 16:26

Congratulations savage and MrsJW xxxx

teainbed · 27/05/2017 16:27

Congratulations @MrsJW15 ! Hope you're feeling ok and little Miriam is on the mend too.
