I don't post much either but still very much pregnant!

Went for reflexology this morning which was lovely. It's unlikely to bring on labour if my body isn't ready but was very relaxing anyway. The lady that does it is also a midwife so had a really good chat about possible induction and have decided to wait it out as long as I can rather than booking in for one at 40+12

Badgerbird · 25/05/2017 21:44

Oooooh louise, hope all goes well :)

walker I had a growth scan for same reason this week, all was fine and was great to see her Little squishy face. Sure yours will be fine too :) Was your mw particularly worried?

I have to be honest I'm a bit worried about DH being really tired as he's a mechanic and works on his own with lots of scary/ hand choppy offy tools and is rather gung ho about it all! Confused

Badgerbird · 25/05/2017 21:45

Oh to clarify that doesn't mean I won't be wanting him to help at night just gotta see how it pans out!

savagehk · 25/05/2017 22:24

Had another scan today as now officially 42+5, lots of waiting around. All fine with scan and ctg, opted to have a sweep. Discussed induction, but I'm not keen with what they do here procedure wise. So now we wait....

beanturnipandspud · 25/05/2017 22:39

Sorry I've been awol again! Congrats to all the new mummies 💙💕

Yes I am very much still pregnant. Due date today 😮 not sure how that happened. Been for a curry night with school mums tonight, which was lovely but has left my feet feeling like they're about to explode! This heat is causing me major issues.

Booked for a stretch and sweep tomorrow, hoping that sets me off as I have officially joined the FUC. Half term next week and I have no patience for my other two, if baby is here DH will be on paternity leave and can help out ... or at least that's the hope.

We've settled in to nana's now, it's Hectic and a new adventure but kids have gone to bed with no fuss for the first time tonight, so I think we're all adjusted.

Off to bed now, in the hope I can sleep until morning or wake in labour 🙈🙋🏼🙅🏼

beachsands · 25/05/2017 23:28

No longer in the FUC as little one arrived a couple of days ago. Posted yesterday on the FB page. We're smitten.

lullaby23 · 26/05/2017 03:46

Congratulations beachsands!

Sympathies to everyone struggling in the FUC, hope babies get moving.

Omg rise & mighty came home from hospital yesterday wincing over every speed bump Shock

I am quite happy doing nights at the moment, DH is on toddler duty should he wake and is looking after us in the day. BFing is fairly simple just looking forward to when they stop pooping at night as 3am nappy changes are a bit grim. I do think you should do what works for you both though and looking after a baby all day is a job too.

Milk has come in so joining the leaky boob crew, forgot how uncomfortable engorgement and let down is to begin with.

FoxMulder · 26/05/2017 05:17

Baby fox born at home in the pool at 2am this morning. A girl! Shock All went exactly to plan! Grin

mightymouse76 · 26/05/2017 05:24

Congrats @FoxMulder and @beachsands !!

@lullaby23 enough to make me want to stay local for a month!

Just had a slightly better night of feeding- 4 30 minute feeds since midnight with less screaming (apart from the 3am nappy change!). Although must admit he has fallen asleep on me after every feed and I might have napped also Confused...I know it goes against all advice but it feels so natural!!

beanturnipandspud · 26/05/2017 05:32

Congratulations @FoxMulder ... I think you are our first hb. Looking forward to reading your birth story 😊 welcome to the world baby fox 🦊

I've been awake since 3.30am, still deeply planted in the FUC but have cramps. Pondering what to do today to pass the time. Any suggestions?

lullaby23 · 26/05/2017 06:17

Well done fox! Glad all went to plan, how lovely to be at home for it all. Congratulations on your little girl.

mighty luckily I can walk to local shops, will be avoiding cars as much as possible!

EsmesBees · 26/05/2017 06:29

Congratulations fox really glad you got the birth you wanted. Did Ds sleep through it all?

Glad you've all settled in bean. Still amazed you've managed to move at this point in the pregnancy. Let's hope it's not too much longer for either of us.

I'm thinking of waiting it out rather than booking an induction too uptown. They like to get it booked in for 40+11 here which I think is overly conservative considering my first came spontaneously at 40+10.

Good for you for holding out savage. Glad all is ok with the scan. Can't be much longer to wait...

Nice to hear from you Walker, the rest of us are not that interesting either! And I think a number may be heading for June babies so please don't feel like a fraud.

peasandquiet · 26/05/2017 07:11

Fox that's amazing! So pleased for you! Hope you have a good first day with her.

peasandquiet · 26/05/2017 07:17

Savage you patience is unreal! Just want to add that I had a really positive induction experience even tho I like you was up for no intervention. At the end of the day we want happy healthy babies and mum's and if that meant I had to deviate from the plan and be monitored in labour I just had to mummy up and get on with it, I still got the pool and was on my knees when not in the water so they did compromise with me.
Also are you not worried baby will be mahoosive?

Autumnsweater · 26/05/2017 07:25

@foxmulder congratulations!!

@barnes79 glad your pooch is doing well!

@1004rise ah yeah your dogs have had such a change with the move as well as new baby! Your 11 month Goldie sounds just like mine Grin, mine's just finished her season on which she was totally bird-brained, couldn't remember her own name!! I bet the sling will make a huge difference for you all and your lab will settle in then, my friend has a 18 month old human baby(!) and two labradors and she says she had such nice times on mat leave out and about with them all.

Tickyboovicki · 26/05/2017 07:29

Congrats @FoxMulder!

teainbed · 26/05/2017 07:31

Congratulations @FoxMulder and @beachsands brilliant news!

Wow @savagehk that's an elephant pregnancy! Are you having contractions? What was your cervix like would they be able to just break your waters?

teainbed · 26/05/2017 07:34

Well BabyTea is 6 weeks today! HV is coming to do 6 week check and then will get date for first vaccinations. Eek! Hope he's put on a serious amount of weight given the amount of feeding he does!

Autumnsweater · 26/05/2017 07:38

dream 😂 I not a sporty person but I am always on the go, have found pregnancy so hard for that! I think I'm living proof that it doesn't induce labour though!

Re induction for late babies:
I'm 41 weeks tomorrow. At my sweep/40 week appt the midwife just said something about booking in for induction at the 41 week appt like it was a given, but having thought about it this week I think I'm going to decline even though am thoroughly fed up. Both times I have had induction mentioned in past my BP has gone up with the stress of the idea of it! The leaflet on it from my hospital gave all the stats and the chance of assisted delivery/emcs were really high it seemed.. I really hope my second sweep works. Stressing about it this morning.

teainbed · 26/05/2017 07:39

DH and older DC's built the cot last night, I reckon we've only got days left in the Moses basket. It was my sisters so no money wasted but it hasn't lasted long! I'm sure it's smaller than the one we used to have? The cot looks huge though! Suspect all of you with bedside cribs and side sleepers will get a lot more use out of them.

newbieho · 26/05/2017 08:15

Congratulations @FoxMulder !

Fingers crossed @Autumnsweater

1004Rise · 26/05/2017 08:38

@FoxMulder congratulations!! Glad you got your home birth 😁 enjoy the cuddles!!

@Autumnsweater dizzyness is definitely a Golden trait😜 Fingers crossed for your sweep.

Happy 6 week birthday baby Tea! 😱 on days left in Moses basket!

Had a very crotchety baby last night, she takes after her mum in not liking the heat 😓 Had a good couple of hours in just a nappy lying on me to calm her down. Tired, hot baby wasn't a pleasant mix. 🙁

Re DH helping at night, I actually find it easier if he doesn't, I'd rather just deal with my sleep deprivation than his too. Feels better for us to have one of us more awake in the day. I think once she takes a bottle when she's a bit older it will be easier for us to share more 😊

uptown8617 · 26/05/2017 08:39

Congratulations @FoxMulder!

@Autumnsweater, at my last sweep appointment they asked if I wanted to book the induction date. I said no at the time but after discussing it yesterday I'm annoyed that they didn't actually offer an induction, just proposed to book it and didn't talk me through any of the risks etc. I have another appointment tomorrow so I'm interested to see how they tackle it then.

Autumnsweater · 26/05/2017 09:09

@uptown8617 it's annoying isn't it, how can you possibly make informed consent that way? Weird too cos at my NHS antenatal class (different midwife but from same small group of local community midwives) she was really anti-induction to the point I found it quite unhelpful!

Rise hehe they are definitely dizzy dogs!

Walkerbean16 · 26/05/2017 09:40

Congratulations @foxmulder and @beachsands!

@badger, ive already had one growth scan and everything was fine, changed to a different midwife for a few weeks and she measured fine, have gone back to the first one and she has me dropping to the bottom of my chart again! I think its the way she measures bless her i think she might be quite new. My last DD was 10lb so i am hoping this one isnt any bigger!

I am pretty happy to be seeing a squishy face again, but my crib which has been on preorder for months and i have really been messed about with getting it delivered is out for delivery today! How typical! I have tried to get my mum to come and sit in whilst i go to hospital but she isnt taking the hint Sad
