Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

OP posts:

Morning ladies and a huge congratulations to Madhide and Jay! Love the names btw!

Jay awww look at his little foot!!!!! Loving your pictures. 11lbs 7oz though that's huge! And yet he looks so tiny!

Eids sorry your appt was messed around.

Kitty / The Blonde it is really bright and sunny here, but very, very cold. Last couple of days now we've had really sunny mornings and then really dull afternoons and hail /rain in the evenings! I wish the weather would make its mind up!

Kitty ikwym. Occasionally I feel paranoid that there's something wrong with me (rather than just pgcy iyswim). I have to walk much more slowly now and if I go for more than about 20 mins I have to stop and take a break! This is very strange as, although I'm not particularly fit (don't do gym or owt like that), I don't drive so I'm used to walking everywhere. Dh and mil don't mind driving me places at all, but I feel awkward having to rely on them.

Chocolatepenny, dh wants me to be "organised" and have him today so he doesn't have to go to a horrible meeting tomorrow!! I tell him I'd be more than happy to oblige but it doesn't quite work like that!

Kitty did Diva text you back?

rosylonginglily · 19/03/2007 09:25

CONGRATULATIONS Madhide and Jay. Great names.

Jay you are so organised with the piccys! Big, big boy well done!

All the best to Dolly! And positive birthing vibes to Piffle and Noodlekitty!

Look forward to even more babies soon.
It's mad at the moment! Like a big pot of popcorn

LunarSea · 19/03/2007 09:26

Mossie - I wish it could work like that. ds has been counting down the days until he becomes a big brother - like an advent calendar (literally I suppose) and is going to be so disappointed if we get past Friday with nothing happening!

OP posts:
kittywaitsfornumber6 · 19/03/2007 09:37

Lunar-, dd1 is counting down to weds. I keep telling her he's not coming then

Rosy-, it does feel like we're all pocorn, some of us will be slow to pop me thinks .

Chocpenny-, yes we'll probably be April girls. Strange to think that our first abby was born in January and the last ones will be born in April. Quite a spread.

Mossy-, she did text back a few times. It's hard to say how she is but she's got my number if she needs to chat.
You can walk 20 mins wow, I can go about 5 meters before having to stop and rest. My hips are coming out this morning, I suppose it's all losening up. Anyways I feel like swearing and drinking and generally behaving badly
now .

Told dp he has to do all the school/nursery runs now. How can I dive when it hurts to change gear and I can't turn round to reverse?

Eids- sorry dd2 has got the virus, what a pain, hope she gets better soon. I won't let anyone sit on my lap, there's no room

LaidbackinEngland · 19/03/2007 09:43

Congrats to Jay and Madhide ! Great photos Jay - and 11lb 2oz ... what a whopper ! Hope you are both feeling OK.

Good labour vibes to anyone who pops today. I am 41 + 1 and still feeling OK - midwife coming round today - but will try and put off any poking or prodding for a few more days.

Sunny here this am kitty, and I am just down the coast ... I suppose you get the snow on the downs ?

Piffle · 19/03/2007 10:14

Firstly congrats to Jay and Madhide andwelcome to the world to Jensen and Madeleine
11lbs RESPECT!

Eids totally sympathise about outpatient appts, we have had dd to the eye clinic several times this pregnancy but in the Oz heat it must have been hellish for you.

Well wanna hear something
couted up all my bh's yesterday, for fun like.
122 from 6am to 1am, plus a few through the night
isn't that INSANE
Sometimes 4-5 an hour, then had 6 in half an hour dp was worried and wanted to call the m/w I said but they don't hurt enough yet...

Ooooh so who is next
please let it be me LOL

morocco · 19/03/2007 10:35

only got a sec before my internet crashes but to let you all know I'm still around, bump getting bigger, lots of bhx but nothing so painful I need to contact the mw, as piffle says wanted to congratulate everyone on their babies, I think I've missed lots last couple of days.
chat soon

muppethasakitten · 19/03/2007 11:00

Congrats madhide - we await photos and news! And come and see us on the postnatal thread too! Love the name.

Jaybuddy my eyes are still watering at that birth weight... I'm not suprised his shoulders got stuck!!! I'm amazed that you managed to get him out at all!!! Imagine if you'd gone any more days over!!! I hope you don't have too many newborn baby clothes!!! Love the photos by the way - despite birthing such a big babe - you look very relaxed! I had 2nd deg tear but like foxy - give yourself about a week b4 expecting it to start feeling better.

sorry things are so uncomfy Kitty... you really are on the home straight now.

Good luck noodle... not long now whatever happens.

Piffle - 122! - well - your uterus is going to be so well practised at the old contractions by the time your lo decides to enter hte world - you'll have a really short labour i'm sure!!

eidsvold · 19/03/2007 11:18

meant to share the cute things the dds did today.

Dd1 has developed a habit of sliding down the slippery slide at home, jumping up bowing and we all have to clap when she is finished. If we don't clap she stands and bows saying our names until we do

Picture - very pregnant mummy dying for a wee - finally make it to the loo, do said wee - have dd1 telling me what a good job I did, clapping for me and then making me clap my hands. ROunded off with her placing her hands on my tummy and trying to help me bow whilst still stuck on loo

dd2 - we are listening to song about baby beluga ( whale) swimming in ocean etc. Dd2 pipes up from backseat of car - 'mummy has a baby beluga in her tummy!' I know my belly is huge and I feel like a bloated whale but goodness me

I told dd2 that we were going to see the gp tomorrow and dd2 asked if she was going to look at mummy's tummy and can dd2 hear the baby's heart again like she did last appt. (how cute)

Chocolatepenny · 19/03/2007 11:54

thought bumps are supposed to mostly sleep in womb at this stage. Mine is twisting everywhere but down to the exit.
I can only fit one pair of Jeans now, how depressing!?! DH says they are the least flattering ones too. He is a gitbag.
Piffle, You really have had a mad start to labour! I heard BH can be as painful as early labour so keep and eye out on them.
it doesn't help that I am eating whatever I fancy , baby is getting his food choices as ordered off the menu, Why come out at all?

LaidbackinEngland · 19/03/2007 14:01

This thread seems much quieter now ! But welcome to the new folk !!

Hope everyone is OK.

I have just seen the midwife who delivered DS2. All OK at my end, despite being 8 days over. Have decided to just wait. She is supportive and says that the baby will come when it's ready. Can't be doing with rummagings etc.

Have acupuncture booked on Weds ..if nothing happens before then ?

Who else is left here ? Shall I start a list that you can cut and paste ?

Well Kitty after me saying I could do 20 mins I decided to go all out and took the dogs out for about an hour & a half 'cos I'd had enough of feeling like a pensioner! Of course now I'm knackered but I'm gonna have a little lie down in a minute. I had to stop and sit down quite a bit though!

Piffle 122! Wow now that must surely be getting ready for something!!

Eids that's so cute. Your dd's are lovely! Although not so sure about beluga whale!

Chocolatepenny how understanding of your dh. I have bugger all I can wear now really, I just wander round in a dressing gown most of the time, or, if I want to get really tarted up, I put my jogging bottoms on!

Laidback a list that is a good idea.

Piffle · 19/03/2007 16:28

Well I'm thankful in a way that the BH's have calmed down today, not a 10th of what I had yesterdya BUT they are very very strong, I cannot walk through them and they are starting to really hurt.

I feel very heavy, period crampy and baby is being much more calm in his movements.
I've had a busy day today
DD to pre school
DS to challenge day
(quick mumsnet 10 mins in)
Down to dd's new school to fill out forms with ed psych and visual aid teacher for dd's school start in Sept.
Dog to vet for stitches out (he was neutered last week)
collect dd from nursery, go buy birthday presie and card
Go to birthday party
Pick up ds from challenge day]
Shopping for dinner supplies
HOME to cup of tea and my pc!
Am resting from now til tea time!
