Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

Hi Noodlekitty!!

I was due the 13th so still waiting here
My hosp wanted to book induction for 10 days over but I will wait until 13 days over

I find it really funny that they don't induce over the weekend as they want to have a quiet time!

DollyPopsOut · 18/03/2007 09:08

Hi girls

Still here. Welcome back Noodle Kitty .

Fox, have texted you the no for Boo boo. Hope it arrives safely.

Jay, I hope your baby is safely here now. Blonde, I was induced on a Sat at Tommy's so they have clearly changed policy. What is your induction date? Or when are you going to discuss it?

Kitty, hope you are OK. If you speak to Diva, please can you send her my love as it sounds as though she is having a really tough time.

Hello Mossy buddy, am off tomorrow for my CS but will be around for virtual support via internet and text until you get your lovely Bertie .

Am going to pack bag, put up blind, do about 400 loads of laundry and generally sort everything out today. That's the theory - if i get the bag packed, that will do.

Happy mother's day everyone - hope you have a great day. XXXXX

DollyPopsOut · 18/03/2007 09:09

Sorry, Blonde, can't retain info in my head for more than 2 mins! Doh! Hope you get your baby before the 26th. Sending positive oxytocin vibes your way as we speak XXXXXX

LunarSea · 18/03/2007 09:26

Dolly - my plan is to finally get the bag(s) packed today. That's if I get a chance as have to do Mothers Day lunch for MIL, so also some serious tidying needed this morning to live up to her standards. Will probably be shattered by this afternoon that the bag will still be on the list of jobs to do tomorrow!

Hello Ladies!

I've only just found this forum, so a bit late to join you. I'm due to have my second baby on the 31st, so I may outlast some of you here!

Good luck to everyone still waiting, hope it goes smoothly for us all. I've just bought a TENS machine on ebay and am determined to cope at home a bit better this time. Any good tips for managing labour pain? I'm even more nervous this time than last.

Cheers all

muppethasakitten · 18/03/2007 09:50

Welcome noodle and running... Kitty is the best person to talk to about managing labour pain... she's had the most!!

Kitty - if you get hold of Diva send her my love and best wishes... not a good time for this to happen for her... can't help but worry about her. Really glad you've got a contact for her.

Lunar - why isn't your dh cooking his own mother lunch

Blonde - is that really true that they don't induce on w/e on purpose?

Hope you are doing ok Jay

Dolly - if i don't post later today then best of luck for the old cs tomorrow! Make sure you get there nice and early so your name can be down on the list first!! We look forward to hearing from you towards the end of the week i guess... unless you can be super clever and work the hospital internet thingy like Sazzy!!

Piffle - are you still getting twinges?

Piffle · 18/03/2007 09:55

Twinges oh yes nothing regular or getting stronger though every 25 mins this mornign but not painful
5 days til EDD am asking for sweep on friday if cervix is "favourable"

Am so desperate am thinking of trying sex and trust me that's desperate.

Gutted for Diva if things are that grim for her atm.
Hope Jays her her babe in arms...

Mossie · 18/03/2007 10:18

Morning all,

Will catch up properly in a bit, I'm just having some coffee and brekkie but I thought I'd better sign in so you didn't think I'd gone into labour! Had a lovely pizza for takeaway last night and then watched the cricket instead of a DVD - bit of a shocker actually, Bangladesh beat India and Ireland beat Pakistan! We were flicking between the two matches in disbelief!!

More later...

Mossy xx

Chocolatepenny · 18/03/2007 11:05

Happy Mothers and Mums to be day everyone. Just had a quick scan for news but it seems as if everyones keeping the bump for now.
Had terrible BH last night does anyone else find they experience it more at night?.
Piffle-sorry to hear about your on off Labour, hope things start going it must be very frustrating.
I felt sick this morning hope MS is not making a swift return before final curtain.
Convinced its going to be this week as my body feels different everyday, Kitty did you say something simular yesterday? hope its a sign.

Mossie · 18/03/2007 11:24

Dolly I think 4th April is probably the latest I could go without them inducing me, so a little earlier would be nice! Hope you manage to get everything packed and ready for tomorrow.

Jay are you still around now or have you gone into hospital yet? Good luck!

Kitty I think at this late stage the pregnancy police can sod off! Hope you enjoyed your wine. There's a bottle of Magners in the fridge with my name on it for this evening!

Oh Muppet poor Diva! I know she had posted she was feeling down but I didn't realise it was that bad. Kitty if you get to speak to her pass on my best wishes.

Welcome Runningal, I am due right at the end as well (27th)

Chocolatepenny my ms has been making an appearance on and off, but Foxy said that she got really sick before two of her labours so it could be a sign?

Hello / welcome back noodlekitty Hope you and The Blonde get some stirrings soon!

Dh walked the dogs this morning so I could have a nice lie in... it's nearly half eleven and I still haven't washed yet so I think it's about time I went and had a bath!

Happy mother's day to you all!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 18/03/2007 12:16

Welcome runningal Hmm labour pains, I'm still battling with that one. I think the key to coping the best with them is to have a positive attitude towards them don't be frightened of the pain and don't fight it.

Chocpenny, that's great that you are feeling a 'difference'. I do still feel a change but it will be a while yet. My bh's are always worse at night, but that bit hasn't started yet with this preg and that is unusual for me.

Mossy, glad you had a good evening. I really enjoyed my 2 glasses of wine, very yummy.

lunar you shouldn't be cooking anyone lunch today anyway let alone a 9 months preg . say you've got chronic back ache and can't stand up, then go and lie on the sofa all afternoon .

Dolly, you must be SO excited!!!

Hang on in there Piffle.

Well the ds's got me some toast for breakfast today and all the kids gave me cards. So sweet, AND dp had gone and bought me a pressie which I wasn't expecting so that was lovely and I feel grateful to have my lovely family (well I do atm!!)

muppethasakitten · 18/03/2007 12:24

Kitty... my dc's bought me some of my favourite sticky toffee from Thorntons.... it was a rather large bag and... ooops... I appear to have eaten it all

foxcub · 18/03/2007 13:58

Hi everyone and happy mother's day

Jay - sounds as though you will be soon!!

the sticky toffee muppet!!

Mossie - DT was dancing around in his kilt and they had a little slot whwre he was a school teacher with C tate as the pupil - v hilarious

LaidbackinEngland · 18/03/2007 14:54

Happy mothers day everyone. Just got back from going out to lunch... had some niggles on the way back to the car - but like Piffle they stop as soon as I do !

Jay - hope you are progressing well.

Diva - I hope things are OK for you - have you got some support up there. Your DP sounded like a nice guy... even though he was on the PC alot. Let us know if there is anything we can do to support you.

DollyPopsOut · 18/03/2007 15:37

Bag now packed and presents from the baby to DD1 now wrapped. Had a big cry when I realised DD would not be my little baby any more but now OK again.

Am excited but a bit nervous. Hope I am on early in the morning so I don't have to fret all day waiting (and nil by mouth!)

Hope you are all relaxing today. See you later

XXXXX

LaidbackinEngland · 18/03/2007 15:40

Best of luck tomorrow Dolly - hope it all goes according to pan

LaidbackinEngland · 18/03/2007 15:40

Or even plan

lins1uk · 18/03/2007 15:51

hello im due in 2 days!!
anyone else feel as fed up as me ???

Chocolatepenny · 18/03/2007 15:52

Best of Luck Dolly, your LO is in the post hope you get a early delivery
My mum just advised me to try drinking olive oil, she said it worked with me and my sisters. Not sure about that as I'd just get the runs!

Chocolatepenny · 18/03/2007 15:55

Hi lins1uk , you'll soon see we all are! I am due on Thursday but as the MWs like to say, probably 2wks on Thursday, how depressing is that!?!

TheBlonde · 18/03/2007 16:04

Happy Mothering Sunday all!

Dolly - good luck for tomorrow, hope you are first on the list

Went for my reflexology this morning then traipsed round the Sainsburys hypermarket
Have had the occasional twinge but suspect I need to go for a long walk and can't really be bothered

Keep bashing the bump on things as it's so big now. Otherwise not feeling too fed up.. keep thinking of how little sleep I will get once the baby is here and the horror of early bf!

Mossie · 18/03/2007 16:43

Ah Kitty sounds like you are having a nice Mother's Day.

Did you manage to speak to Diva, how is she?

Lunar I must have missed the bit about you cooking lunch, could you "cook" it by dialling your nearest takeaway?

Dolly best of luck for tomorrow I'll be thinking of you I hope you're first in and first to get your lo in your arms!!

Hi Lins1uk I think everyone is a bit fed up by now!

Chocolatepenny, I'd not heard of Olive Oil, just Castor Oil (mil used Castor Oil when sil was born) are the two similar then?

The Blonde I hope you had a good reflexology session.

Dh has gone over to mil's to drop off her prezzie, was taking the opportunity to have a little lie down but sod's law, as soon as my head hits the pillow then I'm suddenly wide awake!

LunarSea · 18/03/2007 16:51

Dh did do most of the cooking actually - I just had to defrost the fruit for the crumble, break up the slightly too solid ice cream, and make the coffee afterwards, so the cooking part was less arduous really than the pre inlaws tidy-up!

Still haven't packed that bag yet though

OP posts:
Noodlekitty · 18/03/2007 17:21

Thanks for all the welcomes back...lol...would you believe it, my waters went this morning! No contractions or anything yet, so got to come home from the hospital, but have to go back in tomorrow morning if nothing happens tonight for induction...

Rosy...you remember me! Thank you !

Dolly, good luck for tomorrow, hope it all goes smoothly with your c/s.

Lunar, I just packed my labour bag this morning...in about two seconds flat before I went into hospital, at least its done now, sat in the boot of the car waiting for some action.

Getting nervy now, hope I go into properlabour tonight as don't fancy going straight onto the drip tomorrow!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 18/03/2007 17:33

Noodlekitty, how exciting, very at all you ladies who are seeing some action.

Mossy, I haven't had 3 secs to myself today. I had to sleep in the time I did have and then it's been full on with 5 whiney kids, driving me mad, the constant fighting with all of them winds me up like...... , like old men who drive Rover cars at 3 miles an hour . So I haven't had a suitable opportunity to phone Diva. I've texted her though.
