Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOSSIE

congratulations lunar!!!

kitty-i can understand your frustration.i was getting really pissed off walking around the hospital for 2 days while having nothing but poncey bh's.i had a show not long after the first prostin and i got all excited as well.i was in tears by the friday morning begging them to do an ARM and they were like 'hmm, yout cervix is soft and stretchy but still long so i dont know..'.my argument was that after 3 syntocin inductions my womb probably didnt know how to do it naturally so why put off the inevitable?

muppet-hope the hospital appt went ok.
i thought the character used to be a woman but i think i even got that wrong.its scary how convinced i was that i was right.if only i could train my brain to believe positive things to that extent, life would be wonderful!
all i can say is dp must truly love me as much as i love him.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 04/04/2007 16:43

Diva, I'm so pleased that things are looking up for you.

Muppet, hope the appt went well, let us know

muppethasakitten · 04/04/2007 18:09

Just posted on postnatal thread about bizarre appointment i have just had....

would appreciate any advice if any of you have ever had kids born with hernias - also don't know whether to pursue it or not???

Kitty - enjoy your sausage & mash! That's my second fave dinner after moussaka... will there be onion gravy???

foxcub · 04/04/2007 19:40

Diva - I think its normal to get things a bit out of perspective when you've just given birth, not to mention the old baby blues. I've had a few wobbly sanity moments the past few weeks, including deciding at 2am one day that I was poisoning Monti (through self medicating), convincing myself he had liver damage and had gone yellow as a result and going to the GP next day and confessing!

That's not to mention several near divorce moments when I've screamed at DH like a mad harpie woman and even told him to "get out"

I'm sure your DP knows you are knackered, having just given birth, and loves you just as much as he always has

MrLSG · 04/04/2007 20:34

Ronniebaby,
Thanks for your congrats and support of the last few years {luvvie} (oops, sorry, wrong board! - are there luvvies here?)

Mossie · 04/04/2007 20:42

Evening all,

I've had a lovely birthday, we went out for dinner with the intention of having a light bite to eat with mil cooking tea, ended up having a full on lunch, I had Salmon as I've not had fish in ages, watched the first four episodes of "The Invasion" (Foxy, it's a Patrick Troughton one!) and then... with all the excitement I went to bed and had a sleep, woke up and have been watching the cricket since.

Lovely day, and I did get another card in the post, and my bezzie rang me up to apologise, she is coming to Liverpool this weekend coming and had assumed I would have had the baby by then and she was going to bring my card and prezzie. I feel a bit for banging on about it!!!

Thanks for my birthday wishes everyone!!

Hello Ronniebaby

Mr Lunar any names yet?

Kitty I love sausage and mash with gravy!

Diva I'm made up for you that you're getting things sorted out with your dp.

I could really do with going into labour tonight, I'm starting to view Friday with trepidation, I'm not bothered about the sweep, more about what will happen if they find something wrong and want to induce me there and then. I'm aware I could be being paranoid but I am a little nervous!!

foxcub · 04/04/2007 21:02

Mossy - glad you had a great day Have you got a sweep booked then? Sorry I must have missed that.

Jaysecond · 04/04/2007 21:14

dont all shout at me....................but.....

havent you had those babies yet!!!!!!???????

vibes coming your way ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ !!!!!!

Ronniebaby · 04/04/2007 21:49

Mr Lunarsea - emailed me a picture of mum and baby.

Now I'm torn as to whether to tell you the sex and name and details.

I might leave that for Lunar herself.

MrLSG · 04/04/2007 21:53

divastrop · 04/04/2007 21:54

mossy-why dont you try a double helping of saveloy tonight?it is your birthday after all.

i forgot to buy alcohol in tesco this afternoon so im having another teetotal night.i dont think i'll feel like a drink till Elsie starts sleeping through.if i have more than one glass of wine i'll be worried about not waking up in the night with her.
divastrop · 04/04/2007 21:56

x posts...congrats mr.lsg,Toby is gorgeous

Mossie · 04/04/2007 22:10

Oh he's lovely and Lunar looks besotted with him!!

Foxy I have an internal booked for Friday, I will be ten or eleven days over then, I'm losing track! They will do a sweep then as well, I asked them too. But when I phoned them they were banging on about induction if there are any problems so I'm really hoping he's okay in there!! I've thought about it and I am open minded about being induced if it gets much beyond 42 weeks, but not before.

Diva - saveloy - well I'll ask, but not sure I'll get very far!! I think watching bump move around freaks dh out a bit!!

divastrop · 04/04/2007 22:14

ahem....doggy

Mossie · 04/04/2007 22:19

What, Diva are you saying I should have sex with one of the dogs??? Hey I'm not that desperate for the prostoglandin or whatever it's called, besides they've all had the snip!!!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 04/04/2007 22:28

Ah, Toby is lovely, a bonny baby!!

Mossy, did you have a good birthday? Any good pressies?

I've had 2 glasses of vino this evening, I'm pissed off enough now not to care. I need relaxing, yes, that's the most important thing.

Sex with dogs????!!!!!!!! It must be the wine, I can't reade properly

See you all in the morning

IdrisTheDragon · 04/04/2007 22:36

Just gatecrashing to wish Mossy a happy birthday .

Mossie · 04/04/2007 22:39

Kitty Diva was kindly suggesting a comfortable position for heavily pregnant sex and I was deliberately misunderstanding!!!

I got Doctor Who DVDs and a cake, some clothes that are stretchy but nice, and sil is bringing my prezzie down when she comes to visit after Bertie's born, as is my bezzie mate.

And I got an ecard from my Dad, which was nice that he remembered, but a bit tinged with sadness, as, as you know I haven't told him about this pregnancy yet and I was hoping I'd have a baby by now and would be able to tell him, but still, it won't be long.

We have just lost the cricket, Sri Lanka played well, but we made lots of mistakes... and we only lost by a few runs, too which sometimes makes it worse... still apart from that an excellent birthday!!!

Hope you enjoyed your wine, it might help you get a decent night's sleep as well, I slept well the other night after my beers.

See you all tomorrow, I'm off for a hot bath now, it's my new bedtime routine!!

Mossie · 04/04/2007 22:40

X posted Idris many thanks hope you are well!!

divastrop · 04/04/2007 22:46

hope all is well with everyoe, i am having a mare of a time of it at the moment and have to take DS back to docs tomoro, as the 'thrush' that was diagnosed may not be thrush and as a consequence the cram i have may or may not have caused an allergic reaction and his poor bum is red raw. Its almost on the verge of bleeding, and there are loads of blisters and red patchs...i feel so bad for the poor wee mite.

Anyway, wont bore you all with too many detais, needless to say i am knackered with little or no sleep at the moment

hugs to one an all xxxxxxxx
