Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

Monti loves a dummy - praise the lord its wonderful!!

LaidbackinEngland · 25/03/2007 20:09

Kitty - sorry to hear that you are so uncomfortable. My acupuncture I had on Friday did wonders for my lower back pain and spd, but unfortunately has not started labour YET. I went to see a really nice practitioner in Hove if you want her number ?

Good to see all those who have had their babies popping in to say hello.. Hopefully the remaining few of us on here will be "crossing to the other side " very soon.

Rosylily · 25/03/2007 20:40

oh yes it's hard enough reading these threads never mind a 'book'

Much sympathy to all fed up pregnant people. It won't be long now til you pass over to the bright side

managed one piccy but will put better ones up when I workout how to use dh's fancy camera rather than my cheapy one.
But how do you update the number of children bit?
And when oh when will my mushy brain start working again??

foxcub · 25/03/2007 20:46

cute baby Rosy!

muppethasakitten · 25/03/2007 20:58

Foxy... yes defo... thank god for breast pads

Have been trying the dummy for him but he literally does 'spit the dummy'! Then he gets even more cross that i had the audacity to even try such a trick! lol

Chocolatepenny · 25/03/2007 21:25

Congrats to all our new mums
Well I have had back pain and terrible tightning around the bump like bad BH also a mild period pain, I'm not sure if its labour or what really. All I know was it lasted for 2-3 hours at about 3 today and I'm still getting some pain and now have the runs too.
DH is excited but I think if it is the start then its going to be a long labour as once they get going they seem to fade after a couple of hours.
What does everybody else think? I did think it might just be painful BH but the pain was constant for nearly 3 hours.

Piffle · 25/03/2007 21:31

sounds like pre labour to me chocpen
Will be on and off then at soem point become regular and more intense

Way hay!!!

Chocolatepenny · 25/03/2007 21:39

Hope so Piffle, I know you had many stop and starts, and I'm thinking you should know
Did you find they are a bit like a sudden stitch combined with breathlessness/back pain.
Sorry about these questions but I don't know what to except.

claricebean · 25/03/2007 23:46

Just lurking from April thread as can't sleep...due in 10 days. ChocPenny - you still online? How are you doing?

Mossie · 25/03/2007 23:49

Kitty you know you have to get your passport stamped if you go away from here for more than a few hours, don't you? Sorry to hear you're feeling crappy. Still I suppose at least if you're getting a few more BHs it's a sign that something's on the way?

Chocolatepenny I hope this is it for you!!

Rosy he is very cute, and you're right he does have long fingers! Maybe he will be a concert pianist when he grows up?

I can't be bothered going to bed only to wake up in a few hours time with pain in my wrists, dying for a wee and with nothing more than a thimbleful coming out. So I'm staying up watching telly and trying to decide whether or not to wash up, or whether to leave it until tomorrow morning. Dh actually made tea tonight which was nice, a lovely chicken roast. Have to say he does make the nicest gravy!

Muppet maybe I could send you some of that in the post along with the moussaka?

Right I think I probably will wash up. Unless I find some interesting and controversial thread to post on in the meantime.....

Mossie · 25/03/2007 23:50

Xposts, Claricebean not seen you around before, is this your first, second, third, etc?

claricebean · 25/03/2007 23:55

Hi Mossie, it's my fourth. Normally tucked up in bed by now but can't face how uncomfortable it's going to be. Sorry to hear about the wrists. I guess there's not many of your lot still due? We've had our first baby on the April thread now.

Mossie · 25/03/2007 23:57

Iwkym about feeling uncomfortable! Same here, sort of, I know that if I go to bed I'll only be up in a few hours anyway so I can't be bothered. That doesn't seem very logical, I realise that!

Yes there aren't many of us left on here now!

How old are your other three, are they excited about getting a little brother / sister?

claricebean · 25/03/2007 23:59

Other three are DD1 (aged 6), DD2 (4) and DS (2). Both DDs are v excited. DS has no idea what's about to happen, despite the fact he can point to my huge bump and say baby.

What number is it for you?

Mossie · 26/03/2007 00:05

Only number one! So I've no idea what to expect! I think dh (29) has worked out that something's happening though, he too can see this size of belly isn't normal!! Lol!

Do you know whether you are having a boy or a girl, or will it be a surprise for you?

claricebean · 26/03/2007 00:07

This one's a girl. She was going to be a surprise but the sonographer didn't know that . She'll be our last, so nice to get to re-use some of my lovely girls' baby clothes.

claricebean · 26/03/2007 00:07

When are / were you due?

Mossie · 26/03/2007 00:10

Oh lovely, hey your poor ds, do you think they'll all gang up on him?

I am due on Tuesday. But so far I haven't felt so much as a twinge. I think I've had about five BHs this entire pregnancy. I am not bothered about going overdue... until about ten days, after which they'll start talking about induction, and the thought of that scares me a little!

Do you think yours will be early / ontime / late?

claricebean · 26/03/2007 00:14

DD2 came on her due date. DD1 and DS a couple of days before. So I am not expecting to go over my date (and will probably go two weeks over now!!).

You sound very relaxed for someone who's had to watch the rest of the board give birth beofre them!

Yes, my poor DS. Surrounded by girls. At least he and DH will have each other.

Mossie · 26/03/2007 00:17

Lol I haven't literally watched them give birth (actually that's not entirely true, I've seen Kitty's home birth video, but that wasn't this time around of course)!

I hope your lo comes on time. I have no previous form of course, so I don't know. But everyone I know that is big on the old wives' tales etc. reckons I'll go over...

To be fair though they all reckoned I would have a boy, and according to the scan they're right...

Do you have everything ready?

claricebean · 26/03/2007 00:20

Pretty much ready. Well, lovely to chat to you. Am forcing myself to go to bed now or I'll be exhausted tomorrow. Good luck with it all.

Mossie · 26/03/2007 00:23

Hope you sleep okay, nice to speak to you too!

I'm going to lurk on a controversial thread on a subject I know nothing about now!
