Yet another new thread, because just like all the remaining posters the old one is about to go pop.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hello ladies

Am back home now with the most gorgeous girl - so lovely I could eat her! Birth even though planned CS was a bit gruesome and PN ward was awful but am alive and in one piece and looking forward to catching up on all the gossip! Hoipe that those of you still waiting get some action soon and that those of you who have had babies are enjoying the babymoon.

Off to feed now. Hope to be back on later. Love XXXXXXXXXXXX

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 21/03/2007 18:03

Dolly, so gglad you are feeling all loved up with your baby.
So, after Eids disappears on us tomorrow who will be left?
I have been leant a good book valled 'birthing from within' it has some very usful exercises to do with managing pain and uses ice cubes to practise with. I'm gonna oractise some exercises veryday now seeing as I've got at least 2 weeks left to practise in .

Piffle · 21/03/2007 18:08

Many congrats Dolly, look forward to hearing more and seeing pics when you've got some time.

Way hay go The Blonde get thine baby out!

Ok averaging 6-9 BH's an hour all day today, about every 3rd one is an ouch one.

Am now so resigned to this happening I think if I do go into labour I might not notice

Had a good lie down this afternoon, dinner is on and I am having an early night.

Back is getting very sore from all the contracting so doing housework and odd stuff like washing is really hard now too.

Dp being very helpful as are teh kids. Beauty of teenaged ds - he does great foot rubs!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 21/03/2007 18:47

Piffle, I have been making my ds's, 8 and 7, give me foot rubs when I read to them in the evening. They are really crap at it. Still practice is what they need

foxcub · 21/03/2007 20:15

Kitty - good idea about the foot rubs I make Dh give me foot rubs, but when I do now, DD lies down next to me and demands she has one too!

Piffle - I had on/off labour with DS1 for 5 days - hang on in there. Every pre labour contraction is one step nearer to that baby. Make sure you rest whenever you can to conserve your energy for when it kicks in. [everything crossed for you]

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 21/03/2007 20:22

So then, if I'm not having ANY BLOODY contaction/bh's ANYTHING does it mean I am doomed to be preg for ever and ever?????????????????
Perhaps he'll just shoot out without any warning horray -yeah, right.
My frigging mother just done a FANTASTIC (even by her standards ) wind up job on me today so I am tres cross .
Anyway camera woman phones today as she will be on hols when this baby never arrives to say that she has got a doula to stand in for her as camera woman. So I get 2 for the price of one.

eidsvold · 21/03/2007 21:16

sorry to hear nothing happening Piffle. I think it will be as you say - when you least expect it.

Off to do grocery shopping and clean house, do ironing ready for me to go into hospital tomorrow.

Have pre op appt this afternoon and then that is it.

Getting close. Woken up knackered - could not get comfortable last night - think it might have been from sitting on child size chairs at kindy committee meeting last night.

Piffle · 21/03/2007 21:44

Quick msg
3 mins aprt, thumping contractions, midwife at the door
If I come back without a baby shoot me!
Fingers crossed
xx
piff

eidsvold · 21/03/2007 21:46

all the best piffle

lins1uk · 21/03/2007 23:27

good luck piffle,
am now 40+1!!!
who else is fed up!!
went out today am sick of waiting around house for baby to arrive went to town shopping, then did some arts and crafts stuff with my dd ie glue and glitter everywhere!!
was fun though.
anyway off to bed now speak to you all soon.
lins xx

LaidbackinEngland · 22/03/2007 04:52

Piffle ... this one can't be a false alarm can it - hope you have had your baby and that you are serenely drinking champagne in bed !

I am up eating shreddies ! I can't sleep - I feel like I am waiting in an airport for a delayed flight IYKWIM. I KNOW I'm getting on the plane eventually, but the shops in the terminal are getting a bit boring !

The acupuncture I had yesterday has helped my lower back/spd pain, but I have not had any contractions/niggles or anything else yet. Off for a bit of monitoring at the hospital at 9.30 to check baby /placenta /amiotic fluid all still there and working.

Getting some interesting responses being 11 days overdue... lots of people quoting "research" to me about what I should/shouldn't do ! Kitty - my acupuncturist recommended your Doula George to me if I needed anyone's advice about being overdue !

Would really like to give birth to this baby in the next few days.... so can you all send me your best " giving birth vibes "

Merci x

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 22/03/2007 07:30

Best of luck Piffle, really hope this is it for you

Laidback, my Doula George went 27 days over I think .
My baby is very still, he does shift and turn , but nothing much. I'll make sure i do proper counting today.
I can't believe that the lack of contraction /bh's is normal at this stage. Maybe it is, but it worries me

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 22/03/2007 07:32

BTW you're doing really well with the waiting yourself. My latest were 3 weeks over. I know how hard it can be, everymorning waking up and thinking that you're still here!!

rosylonginglily · 22/03/2007 07:39

Looking forward to hearing Piffles news!

Laidback, I'm sending you good birthing, come on little baby vibes, it'll happen soon!

rosylonginglily · 22/03/2007 07:41

Kitty I had less braxton hicks lead up this time than the last time.

Chocolatepenny · 22/03/2007 07:55

Goodluck Piffle! I am excited for you.
Right well its D Day 40wks today and nothing. I am going to buy a sofa and generally shop, if my waters break in M&S do I get my shopping free? its worth a chance. See you all back in the Fed Up Club asap.

trace2 · 22/03/2007 08:19

hi all maybe some will remember me i started out on this thread when first started but sadley had to move !

anyway just wanted to wish all good luck and hope your little ones are here soon

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 22/03/2007 08:56

Hi Trace, I remember you Is everything going well this time round? When are you due?

Lins, I'm 40 +1 and lo's monements are severly reduced. I get sort of shifting and rolling movements now. if you're worried, get checked out or really start a proper kick chart. Sometimes i have forgotton when mine has moved so think that he hasn't iyswim.

Mossie · 22/03/2007 09:15

Morning, will reply properly later but I'm just about to get ready for my driving lesson. This'll be the last one before lo is born, as I don't want to book one for next Thursday (EDD+2).

Maybe sod's law will work for me and I'll go into labour during today's lesson?

Actually that might not be so safe. Just after?

See you all later!

trace2 · 22/03/2007 09:18

hi kitty due in june now!, whos had there babes already?? what about piff and boo,

LunarSea · 22/03/2007 09:31

Had to see midwife again yesterday - and fungus has grown so much in just 6 days that it's equivalent to another whole lb on their weight estimate! In fact bump is now so big that their computer system wouldn't accept the measurement.

Which as all a bit worrying as she tried to make an appointment for the hospital for 41 weeks to discuss options (normal procedure apparently) - only to be told that because they've cancelled clinics around Easter everyting before is fully booked up and the first available is 13th April - i.e. 43 weeks. Oh and mw is on holiday for the next two weeks too. I really DO NOT want to find I'm still here in 3 weeks time if their estimates of how big baby is going to be are anything like accurate, so am praying for things to kick off a.s.a.p.

It's been a couple of days since we had any new babies here - we must be due another one now. Piffle?

OP posts:
runningal · 22/03/2007 09:33

Good luck Piffle - hopefully you'll have had your beautiful baby by now - hope it all went well.

Sending labour vibes to all others waiting here - especially Laidback - 11 days over sounds a nightmare, you must be tearing your hair out.

Hope it happens soon for us all....

eidsvold · 22/03/2007 09:44
