Thank you so much everyone. Just can't believe it! Fingers crossed for you as well Rose x

JB1983 · 09/06/2017 14:41

Yay Iam it's lovely seeing your wee bean on a adcan isn't it. It's takes the worry away for at least a few days

I am 9 weeks today and symptom free, other than tender boobs. When we had our scan I was super relieved but now that it's been a week the worry comes back that something's not right. If only we had X-ray vision to be able to check on our little beans!

Iamchanging · 09/06/2017 14:46

I'm know JB! I'm giving myself about 2 days before I start worrying again! I've got 11 flights in the next three weeks which really worries me, and my doctor didn't seem too keen on but there is nothing I can do with work 😬

fasbaby · 09/06/2017 15:26

Ahhh amazing congratulations iam! Thank you ladies for making me feel welcome, I feel a bit more positive today and I know there's nothing I can do but wait until our next scan and try to remain positive. I'm sure once we cross the 12-15 week threshold we'll all feel better (hopefully!).

Rosehyd2 · 10/06/2017 22:49

I had my 8 week scan today and it was AMAZING! Lots of lovely photos taken home and even a USB with the heartbeat on was given to us (we live in a crazy world, don't we?!)
Our Baby is there with a very strong heartbeat and measuring just over 13mm. I 100% would recommend an early scan to anyone as impatient as me. I know things can still go wrong but I feel much more relaxed now (and will tell a few more people).

Iamchanging · 11/06/2017 07:31

Aw that's fantastic rose, congratulations! The let us take a short video of the heartbeat as well, I must have watched it about 100 times by now 😳

dangle90 · 11/06/2017 10:54

Aww congratulations rose! 3 days until mine I'll be 10+2. Had no symptoms at all recently so feel like I'm waiting for Christmas! Did any of your appointments say to take anything that the midwife had given you?

OP posts:
dangle90 · 11/06/2017 10:57

Sorry that was a bit vague mine says to take - Bring your PREGNANCY / MIDWIFE note positively.
What is this? 😂

OP posts:
Rosehyd2 · 11/06/2017 15:44

Haha @dangle90 - mine did say to bring midwife notes if I have them but I don't yet and it didn't matter. The lady printed off a little report for me to give to the midwife at my appointment later this month so I have my first bit of official paperwork relating to baby from the private scan place. It has measurement etc on I assume so they can track progress.

dangle90 · 11/06/2017 16:15

Hmm I've got a pack that I got at my booking in appt, not much of any interest in it though best take it just Incase. How is everyone today?

OP posts:
Iamchanging · 11/06/2017 16:23

I got given a big book that they told me to fill in as much as a could in advance and bring it in to my booking in appointment.
I'm ok today, but the tiredness has really kicked in which combined with the nausea is making me feel really weepy about having to fly to the US for work tomorrow. Don't land until 5am uk time and feel like I can't manage.

Rosehyd2 · 11/06/2017 16:51

I feel horrendous today @Iamchanging, I really couldn't manage a flight tomorrow. Sounds horrible 😩 Just sat on my sofa now I feel awful. Does your work know you're pregnant yet?

Iamchanging · 11/06/2017 16:59

No they don't Rose, but if heaven forbid I lose the baby they will find an excuse to fire me before I can get pregnant again. Sounds unbelievable but I've seen it happen before. So as a result I have America this week, China the following week and Japan the week after. Confused

Rosehyd2 · 11/06/2017 20:34

Oh wow, that's tough 😔

Iamchanging · 11/06/2017 20:51

It's not ideal but on the plus side it makes time go really quickly so I will be 12 weeks before I know it!

dangle90 · 12/06/2017 06:47

God iam that sounds awful :( hope you start to feel better soon so the traveling isn't too bad for you! X

OP posts:
JB1983 · 12/06/2017 08:47

Woah Iam that is some schedule. What a shame if your feeling rotten. You could try the travel bands and hard boiled sweets, they are meant to help somewhat.

Yay to the successful scan Rose, it's lovely seeing the heartbeat ❤

I am no obsessively waiting on the postman each day for my 12 week scan date. Also ordered myself one of those home Doppler things. Lack of symptoms just freaks me out that something's not right.

Rosehyd2 · 12/06/2017 13:01

I've had my first actual bout of sickness today, not just nausea. Nicely timed for when I got to work. It coincided nicely with me telling my boss this morning as I have a feeling it may continue.
I'm now so nervous to eat in case it happens again today (busy open plan office,100m away from toilets), but know I need to.

dangle90 · 13/06/2017 07:14

Jb I'm still having no symptoms either. How much did you spend on the home Doppler if you don't mind me asking?

That sounds rough rose! Hopefully it's a one off for you, wishful thinking ey

I am symptom free too and understand the worry @JB1983

I have my booking in appointment on Thursday, I can't wait, It's all still a little un-real!

I have a high BMI and I feel like I am going to be told all the things that could go wrong and be scolded for not losing weight before conceiving. I hope I am worrying over nothing, I really want this to be a positive experience for me and DH

dangle90 · 13/06/2017 19:46

Are you very overweight Hobbs ? If you don't mind me asking. I am too I had my booking in appt and found out my BMI is 30, couldn't believe it, I'm a size 14 but didn't realise I was in the obese category, midwife didn't give me a hard time though she basically said it just increases your chance of gestational diabetes and they have to keep an eye on you. But I did feel horrible about myself after x

OP posts:
Iamchanging · 13/06/2017 19:52

I have mine on Thursday too Hobbs! My BMi is 29.6 naked first thing in a morning so think I will be over the 30 as well when they weigh me 😔

dangle90 · 13/06/2017 19:54

Try not to worry iam, I just think to myself, I walk over an hour a day with the dog always have homemade food lots of fruit and veg. I've never been skinny and never will be. Aslong as your eating sensible that's all you can do x

OP posts:
Iamchanging · 13/06/2017 19:58

To be honest I'm eating much better now as I've cut out the booze and the chocolate! To be honest so long as my baby is happy and healthy I don't give a damn what my bmi is!!
