Hi ladies,
How are we all getting on? When do you plan on going for your booking appointment with the midwife?

dangle90 · 09/05/2017 08:20

Hi jb. I'm fine how are you? I'm already booked in with the midwife for the 19th may x

rabbitstail · 09/05/2017 14:32

JB I'm seeing the mw on Thursday so I'll only be 6 wks. I self refered. I'm sure I'm going earlier than I did for my others though, not sure if this is because of my age?!

dangle90 · 09/05/2017 14:44

I'll be 6.5 week when I go too rabbit I thought that seemed quite early (not that I'm complaining)

Hi everyone,

I got a BFP on Friday and went to the GP Yesterday because of right sided abdomen pain. I have a scan tomorrow morning (when I'll be exactly 6wks), fingers crossed all will be ok.

This was unplanned so still rather shocked and getting used to the idea. OH is excited though which helps Smile No other symptoms as yet, dreading any sickness!

dangle90 · 09/05/2017 16:46

Hi rachy, congrats! Hope tomorrow goes ok. I keep having pain that switches from one side to the other but doesn't last very long and is not excruciating so hoping it's nothing, just hard when you don't know what's normal and what's not. Let us know how you get on x

rabbitstail · 09/05/2017 19:49

Hi rachy22 and congratulations! I've been having some pain too, started as cramps but now is a light stabbing on the right side. From what I can tell it is all normal but I'd be interested to hear what your gp tells you tomorrow. Good luck!

JB1983 · 09/05/2017 22:06

I'm trying to hold off on going in for my booking until at least 8 weeks because as soon as I get bloods taken my work will know.

Congrats on your unexpected BFP rachy. Hope scan goes ok tomorrow.

rachy22 · 13/05/2017 09:49

Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd give you an update - the scan went well, all looks fine though too early to really see much. Thankfully not ectopic, as was suspected. Have to go back again in 2 weeks to check all is progressing normally.

How are you all doing?

rabbitstail · 13/05/2017 13:39

Glad all is well rachy22, how far along are you? Did they do a normal scan or an internal?

I started with cramping 2 days ago with some brown spotting. Went in to be checked and all seemed well. They did bloods etc and I'm due to go back in on tues for a scan when I'll be 6+2. Unfortunately I've started again this morning but with bright red blood so I'm not very hopeful for the outcome on the scan. Trying to rest up at the minute but have an event im supposed to go to later, not looking forward to that!

dangle90 · 13/05/2017 18:24

Sorry to hear that rabbit :( must be so worrying! Thinking of you! Xxx

Glad your scan went well rachy.

I'm feeling okay no symptoms or anything at the mo. Nothing much to report

dangle90 · 14/05/2017 15:51

So much for no symptoms, felt sick on and off all day! 😷🤢

OP posts:
rachy22 · 15/05/2017 10:12

@rabbitstail It was an internal scan. From last period it's 6 weeks, though at the scan they said probably more like 5. So sorry to hear that you've been having some bleeding, hope the scan gives you some positive news tomorrow!

@dangle90 Oh no! Hope you're feeling better today? I'm dreading starting to feel sick. so far I've had nothing, but I just have a feeling it will start soon Confused

dangle90 · 15/05/2017 12:26

How are you today rabbits?

I know rachy just came out of nowhere. Been same today but eases when I eat something. Keep getting a pain in my left side still, not excruciating, but wondering if it's normal or not. Any of you ladies having anything similar? X

OP posts:
rabbitstail · 15/05/2017 17:33

Hey JB, how's things with you?

Are you having a repeat scan rachy? They often say that you can measure smaller than you think you are but then catch up on later scans! I hope your feeling reassured?

How are you dangle? Are you still feeling sick? I spoke to the dr about pain (in my right side) and she said it is probably just your muscles loosening ready for the baby but she said that you can tell if it's anything more serious if it really hurts when you press on that side whilst lying down she did that when she examined me and I was fine. They like to eliminate an ectopic so perhaps if it continues then get it checked out by your mw?

I've no idea what's going on with me. I felt awful all weekend, completely exhausted and lots of cramps but I'm feeling better today with no blood. Bizarrely my pg symptoms have doubled and I'm now feeling sick, really sore boobs and light headed with a funny taste in my mouth...no idea why if I am having an mc?!

dangle90 · 15/05/2017 18:12

Still felt a bit sick rabbits yeah, also same as you bit dizzy now and again. Oh thanks for that I will try that later then see if it still hurts, I have midwife on Friday too so will mention it then.
That's strange about your symptoms... did they say you were having a miscarriage though or are they just your worst fears?
Must be awful for you stuck in limbo Hun Flowers

Phew, just got home from epu and all is well, I even got to see the little heart beat of our little blob! I was amazed by how upset/releaved my hubby was bless him! I'm 6 wks 1day. They think the bleeding at the weekend was an implantation bleed, I had no idea it could be so much and that I'd be in so much discomfort with implantation though? Any one else had this?!

dangle90 · 16/05/2017 14:23

Awwww that's great news rabbits!! So please for you. This is my first pregnancy so I've not experienced anything x

OP posts:
dangle90 · 16/05/2017 14:24

I'm same as you too rabbit, 6 weeks 1 day :) x

OP posts:
rabbitstail · 16/05/2017 16:35

Hey, birth buddies!

rachy22 · 16/05/2017 17:13

@rabbitstail That's great news so glad for you. Must be such a relief!! Not had any bleeding but had rather a lot of cramping, guess that could have been from implantation

@dangle90 I've been feeling rather nauseous today :( thought I'd escaped it but clearly not. Just hope it doesn't escalate into full blown vomiting Confused

dangle90 · 16/05/2017 17:49

I've been fine today rachy! So hopefully your same as me and just a few days of queasiness!
Haha yeah rabbits birth buddies GrinGrin

JB1983 · 16/05/2017 18:16

Sorry ladies just catching up. Sounds like you've had quite a worrying few days rabbit and rachy but glad scans have went well. Must be excited to see the little heart beat. I've booked a private scan for 8 weeks as it was only £49 and would quite like to see that the baby is ok before we tell the parents.

So far still just have tender boobs. Will be 6 weeks on Friday so not sure if that's when the fun and games with the nausea will kick in.

dangle90 · 16/05/2017 19:18

Bet you can't wait for the scan JB. Where did you find it? I don't really know where to look but would deffo pay that just to put my mind at rest! Hopefully you get away with none of the symptoms

OP posts:
rabbitstail · 16/05/2017 19:53

I had already booked a private early scan for 8wks JB before I had the scan today as I knew I'd be wanting to check. I'm not sure if we will still go as my dating scan will be around 12 wks. I was also thinking of having the harmony which is around 10 wks so I may call them and see if I can use my deposit for that instead. What do you think?!
