Forgot to say that yep my bump is also making an appearance, and I can feel movements a lot of the time! Surprisingly I have been able to for about a month. DP even felt a kick the other day Grin

eggsbenedict89 · 23/08/2017 07:46

Hi all

Due 25th Jan - I've not felt any movements yet...

Please tell me it can take a little longer?! Hmm

alins · 23/08/2017 08:25

I am glad everything is OK rachy22 and you sure made me curious on the gender of your baby.

Hi eggsbenedict89, I am still 19 weeks at the moment and can only feel the baby if I touch the belly and concentrate on her movements. Midwife said sometimes it can take a bit longer especially if the placenta is anterior.

I sure can't wait to feel her moving all the time without me even thinking about it.

Iamchanging · 23/08/2017 13:08

Eggs I'm 18+3 due the 21st Jan and can't feel a thing! She is ok though as I had a scan yesterday. Bought my pram yesterday as well - ooops!!

rachy22 · 23/08/2017 19:25

Hi @eggsbenedict89, welcome!
They say usually you only start to feel it from 20weeks onwards, and can take longer if it's first baby. Guess I'm just one of those few exceptions to the rule

Haha @alins I guess I could tell you guys, you can keep a secret, right..? 🤔😜

eggsbenedict89 · 24/08/2017 20:44

That's good to know!
If I put my hand on my tummy then wait sometimes I feel something - but concerned it's my own pulse! Grin

Iamchanging · 24/08/2017 21:56

Yes come on rachy!!!! Promise I won't tell 😂

alins · 25/08/2017 08:58

Yes tell us rachy22!! 😁 your secret is safe with us! 😉

hanna87 · 25/08/2017 11:20

Oooohhhh sooo intrigued... my guess is a girl! (Based on absolutely nothing!)

Don't worry too much about the movements, mine have only become more defined and noticeable able the 20 week scan, which we had at 20+1!

rachy22 · 06/09/2017 07:27

Hey, how's everyone doing?

Delayed response, but we're having a girl too 😊

fasbaby · 06/09/2017 20:44

Hi everyone! Long time!

We're having a girl too I'm so excited!! Also found this baby sleepy hammock which I'm in love with and thought I would share - amby.co.uk/shop/amby-air-baby-hammock-value-package.

Hope everyone is having a good second trimester?

alins · 07/09/2017 09:35

Oh how lovely that we are all having girls!

The hammock looks really nice. I bet your girl will love it.

I am doing fine. We are moving house now so it is a bit of a busy moment. I love being busy tho, makes the time fly by, and I have less time to overthink every little thing about pregnancy.

How are you doing??

Iamchanging · 09/09/2017 16:47

Hi ladies, I lost this thread, can't believe we are over half way through. The negative part of me still can't believe I'm actually going to get a baby in Jan, however we had a week off so started on the nursery this week (stupidly early I know!) Are you feeling lots of movements now? I have an anterior placenta so still haven't felt anything definite yet

fasbaby · 10/09/2017 16:34

We are in the middle of a house refurb and move too so I can't start buying anything at all! I've made a very detailed spreadsheet to compensate Grin

I have an anterior placenta too @iamchanging but my little one loves kicking me so hard she wakes me up at night! So excited for the new year

Iamchanging · 10/09/2017 20:54

I'm so jealous fasbaby (of the kicks that is not the house renovation!) When are you due to finish? We are extending our kitchen into the garage starting in October which will be a huge job. It's scheduled to be finished at the end of Nov so I'm praying there are no delays!

rachy22 · 12/09/2017 07:32

I also have an anterior placenta so was really surprised to feel kicks early on. My little one doesn't quite kick hard enough to wake me, but it's hard enough for DP to feel

A colleague came in to work with her 2 week old!! So tiny and cute and lovely. I so can't wait for the January now!!

FirsttimemumJan18 · 11/12/2017 04:23

Hi Ladies...Been awake since 2am so thought I’d check out Mumsnet. Currently 35.3 weeks with a little girl after a rollercoaster IVF journey. Getting induced at 39 Weeks on 5th Jan and still can’t believe it’s actually happening and ill finally get to meet a mini-me! Wishing you a relaxing and stress free last few weeks of pregnancy x

alins · 15/12/2017 11:55

Only a few weeks left now. Can't quite believe it!
Is everyone ready for the arrival of their little one??

rachy22 · 16/12/2017 12:54

Hi, our little one decided to make a pre-Christmas appearance - born 10pm last night!
Hope everyone else is doing ok, and welcome @FirsttimemumJan18.
Guess I'm technically not part of thi group anymore though...

hanna87 · 16/12/2017 21:36

Congratulations @rachy22
Hope things went smoothly and that you're both doing well...enjoy being a mum 😊

Still have 2 weeks to due date and starting to feel anxious about when/how will happen!
We went to have a look at the birthing centre today and things are starting to feel a lot more real.

Welcome @FirsttimemumJan18 🙂

alins · 20/12/2017 17:08

Congratulations rachy22!! What a lovely Christmas surprise!!

FirsttimemumJan18 · 21/12/2017 03:54

Congratulations! x

FirsttimemumJan18 · 21/12/2017 03:55

Thank You x

FirsttimemumJan18 · 21/12/2017 04:02

Been awake since 0130!!! Shock but it’s becoming the ‘norm’ now & this terrible cough with mucus (sorry TMI) I’ve had for 6 days now). As it’s a viral infection I was told that there is no point in having anti-biotics as they won’t work. I’m soo grateful to be having this little girl but am really struggling in this trimester & the creaking hips and pelvis isn’t helping (PGP or SPD or whatever they want to call it!) I need putting down or need to get a grip! Just venting...sorry Blush

alins · 21/12/2017 20:55

I totally understand you! Just know you are not alone.
Also had a bad cold a few weeks ago. I found that ice cream helped a lot to make me feel better!
Back pain is getting worst by the day and nothing I do can ease it off.
Hoping that she comes soon!
