MrsFish · 22/03/2007 10:48

Good news, thats what I like to hear.

I will be thinking of maternity clothes soon, I have already bought a few things for the summer in anticipation, and I have a load of stuff from last time.

FOOD - now you are talking, I am trying to be good but I am just hungry ALL the time, every hour or so my tummy starts rumbling, its not fair, I really don't want to put as much weight on as I did last time. I have put 5 pound on already [hmmm] and such a long way to go. Mind you I should just be grateful that this pregnancy has worked shouldn't I? Will try and up my exercise instead.

Has anyone else been getting lots of headaches?

My dreams have been really weird and vivid too, I had this last time and I usually have dreams I can remember anyway, but wow they are so vivid now, it feels like I haven't slept when I wake up

Kittiwake · 22/03/2007 10:58

I'm going to try shopping for maternity clothes tomorrow as I have a day off.Going to try H&M and Dotty P's anywhere else good to try?

Totally agree with the hunger thing too. Just eaten some chocolate digestives yum! but still hungry going to try an apple next in a futile attempt to be healthy.

KezzaG · 22/03/2007 11:00

I have my sandwich sitting next to me for lunch and I want to eat it now. Not sure if it is greed or pregnancy tbh

I like Next for maternity clothes but havent seen any of their new range. M&S also do mat clothes now, and Warehouse and Red Herring.

Mumpbump · 22/03/2007 11:08

H&M are good. Next is alright and you can shop online for their stuff. The other stuff I like is too expensive for me to afford!

MrsFish · 22/03/2007 11:15

We don;t have a H&M in Derby atm, I think we are due one later this year, but it will be too late by then

Also Dotty P's here don't stock maternity, in fact I am very short on choice, I will have to stick to internet buying I think

greedyforbabies · 22/03/2007 11:30

i have bought the whole range of next maternity clothes!

dont get me started on dreams again!!!!! see this thread for a laugh

gemmamc · 22/03/2007 11:51

MrsFish
I am getting awful headaches. Trouble is I am prone to them anyway, and normally when not pregnant I would take paracetamol and caffeine tablets, which I can't take now because there is too much caffeine in them.

Paracetamol by itself is not very effective for me anyway, so I am not taking it and just trying to get rid of it naturally (but it can take up to 24 hours).

I really hope this problem goes away soon. It's horrible. I did read it's more typical of the first trimester...

What are you doing about it?

Verso · 22/03/2007 12:29

V queasy here - I have to keep eating or I start feeling really sick. Not in maternity clothes yet but mainly because when I tried my old ones back on it was SO OBVIOUS and I want to keep it quiet at work for a while yet .

36DD and counting btw...

So jealous of those of you who have had your scans already!

ejt - I think it was you but this thread moves so fast I'm not sure - how's things at your work? Your boss sounds like a nightmare!

MrsFish · 22/03/2007 12:34

Gemmamc - I'm not really doing much about it at the moment, other than having the odd paracetamol. A friend has suggested I try this thing that is like a big tube of lypsyl (vaseline) (crap description but I don't know what it is caled) that you just rub on your forehead, she said she used it when pregnant,. so I need to go out and find some to try.

ejt1764 · 22/03/2007 12:35

Afternoon all ...

Mumpbump - fantastic news

kitti - I'm famously not coping with ms! But then, as I've been told it's hyperemesis rather than mx, then I feel entitled to not cope.

I beat you on the boobs front (sorry, snigger for bad pun) - I was a 34f before - now in a 34g - dh reckons the 'titty fairy' has been calling our house again - mind you, he's not able to make the most of it! poor dab!

I am feeling dreadful today - couldn't sleep last night ... scan is at 1.45, will be leaving here at about 1.15.

Will update you later!

ejt1764 · 22/03/2007 12:35

gemma - you could try nox vom for headaches ... (homeopathic remedy)

OP posts:
MrsFish · 22/03/2007 12:36

Good Luck

Well it seems my boobs are the smallest

36C at the moment, but with my first pregnancy they went up to DD from a B

Verso · 22/03/2007 13:55

MrsFish you can get that headache stick from Boots. It smells really nice - all menthol-y, but don't put too much on as it makes your head go all cold. Also be careful if you have sensitive skin - it made me into a beetroot.

gemmamc · 22/03/2007 14:06

thanks ejt

I did buy it actually, after someone (you?) mentioned it on the list. I haven't consulted a homeopath so I am not sure this is the right remedy for me. I guess it can do no harm to try....(just taken it, as I have a headache right now, so I will let you know)

MrsFish · 22/03/2007 15:39

Thanks Verso, will have a look next time I'm in town.

I have just had a lovely shower after doing Davinas pregnancy workout (ds is at nursery) am just going to have a cup of tea and a relax in front of the TV before picking him up.

Ejt - here's hoping your scan went well

KezzaG · 22/03/2007 16:09

I just got the Davina workout MrsFish but it is still in the packet. Cant do the workout until the scan, although Im sure I will find some excuse after that. Is it any good?

come on ejt, the suspense is too much!

Mumpbump · 22/03/2007 16:14

Still nothing from fifi. Hope she is just tied up with all the dc, rather than anything else...

KezzaG · 22/03/2007 16:28

oh god yeah fifi, I forgot she hadnt checked in yet.

Fingers crossed it is nothing bad.

PolarMummy · 22/03/2007 16:39

Hi folks, great news Greedy and Mump glad your scans both went well. Just wanted to add to the good news, I also had a scan yesterday and everything is fine so hopefully this run of good news will continue for everyone else.

ejt1764 · 22/03/2007 16:46

... scan was wonderful ... one baby bouncing up and down like a loon - one mother, blabbing like a baby!

I cried over absolutely everybody!

Very happy!

Mumpbump · 22/03/2007 16:51

Congrats, ejt!! SO pleased for you!!!

MrsFish · 22/03/2007 17:05

Many congrats ejt - tis a wonderful feeling isn't it

KezzaG - It is very gentle, nothing you couldn't do now, It will probably be enough when you are 7 months plus but at the moment I found it very very easy. I do far more when I go to the gym
