I hate to disagree with you mumpbump. It is a myth about 1st baby always being late.

DD was my 1st and she arrived 4 days early. Mind you that may have been because I was walking round the caverns up the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath on my birthday. Baby was not due until 7 days after that, but decided she wanted uot early.

Nbg · 04/04/2007 12:27

Hi everyone.

Hope you are all well.
I'm sat counting the hours down to when the MW comes tomorrow.
I cant wait to have a really good chat with her.

I'm also already dreading when this LO will decide to arrive. My dd was 4 days late and ds was 10 days late. I hope this one makes an early appearance or on time at least!

maisym · 04/04/2007 12:51

joining you all from the nov thread - had a scan & am around 12 weeks & due at the end of october. Not sure when as what I thought was my period was implantation bleeding or just bleeding - my cycle hasn't come back as still bf. If I hadn't taken a test 2 weeks after the bleeding I wouldn't know I was preg!!

Had a scan yesterday to date & have the blood test results to get. My last two pregs have had difficult a/n results & last time I refused any further tests - this time not sure what I'll do

nbg - I thought I was about 6 weeks if that!! - my trousers were tight but I just thought thats the flab from having 4 kids!

Nbg · 04/04/2007 13:57

Thats reassuring to hear MM.
My period was very very light. Not normal at all and only lasted 3 days.

I really hope I am 11 weeks like they say.

Nbg · 04/04/2007 13:58

actually am 12 weeks today

greedyforbabies · 04/04/2007 14:01

had my booking in appt today and they changed my edd! bit daft really cos i am almost positive i KNOW when i ov'd and concieved, but she didnt believe me and went by my scan which makes me due 30th sept. not moving to the sept thread though! it is taking me ages to get to know everyone on here and i can't start all over again!!!
i feel slightly better about wearing my maternity clothes now that i am 14 + 3 rather than 13 +5! is that ridiculous!?

hope you are all well! i am getting bored with this morning sickness malarky i know that!

buffythenappyslayer21 · 04/04/2007 16:02

hi everyone!
well, been doing non stop cleaning today!!
got dh's posh brother and even posher wife coming friday, and am determined the house will be spotless!!!told the kids to keep sticky mitts of the clean surfaces!!no dout it will all be back to smudges and smears everywhere.i dont usually careless about what people think, but honestly these two look down their noses at everything!plus hes a social worker so everytime we see them i make sure the kids look nice and clean and tidy!!!
they are dd's godparents, but didnt even hold her at the christening, she was afraid the baby would vomit on her!my reply was "no she wont through up on you, probably poo through her clothes on you,but def wont be sick!!" she didnt think it was funny!

yes,am now going to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy,no more worrying about the scar pain!just hope that the housing association dont ring up and say "oh,your keys are here for you to pick up" when im on my way into hospital!!thats my new worry!!house should be ready to move into in october!!

also been getting the odd day where i cant stop being sick, thought it was all over with as hadnt been sick for abit.

total myth about 1st baby being late.mine was early!only know a couple of people that have gone over there date, most of everyone i know have been early or on time.one of my friends had her 1st 2 weeks early and her 2nd was 4 weeks late!!!

anyway, ramble over, back to the kitchen for me,mre washing and cleaning to do before their royal highnesses arrive!

hope everyone else is ok!!!

Mumpbump · 04/04/2007 16:38

Hello B2B! Good to see you again... Any scans coming up in the near future? We all seem to be hitting the 12 week mark at the moment... So far, lots of good news, thank goodness.

Buffy - dead impressed that you can look after 5 children and still find the time to clean!! Do they help or hinder?

missnatalie · 04/04/2007 17:22

Hi Everyone - ive got a question on cervical mucus. Has anyone else noticed that theirs has increased? For the past 2 days mine has increased, is very thick (looks like snot ) and is a creamy colour. Has anyone noticed that theirs has changed. Ive already done a thread on it asking if it was normal but just wondered if anyone else that is due in Oct has the same thing.

Natalie x

greedyforbabies · 04/04/2007 17:33

YUK! personally i never get ANY of the stuff, far too messy and disgusting............................actually..........i have been getting tonnes of the stuff too! mixed in with blood most of the time, but thats a whole other thread too!!!

Mumpbump · 04/04/2007 17:39

Definite increase, but not thick and creamy coloured. I did have a little bit like this and wondered whether it might be a bit of the mucus plug coming away. I rang the EPU who said that this happens sometimes and not to worry about it, but (as I've already had m/c) to call back if I got other negative symptoms. I wouldn't worry about it, tbh.

missnatalie · 04/04/2007 17:52

Thanks greedy and mumpbump. I get really paranoid sometimes. After losing 1 beanie i want to make sure that everything that is happening in this pregnancy is normal and catch the early signs of anything that isnt.

J20BABYLOVESCHOCOLATEEGGS · 04/04/2007 19:30

hi all
greedy they changed mone too, when i know that they an't be right, mine went from due on the 9th to due on the 3rd, so i ami 14 weeks today, we are officially in the 2nd trimester

its so annoying that all the maternity clothes are still to big for me, yet all my other trousers are far too tight! hmmph, what am i meant to wear!?

hi to all others, feel shattered today, so think i'll be having an early night, again

MrsFish · 04/04/2007 21:51

Greedyforbabies - we are practically due the same then, by my reckoning my due date was 30th Sept, but midwife placed me as 1st Oct, so I could be either one, like you, I am enjoying the Oct thread and am firmly ensconced now

I had a big spend yesterday, and bought some trousers/jeans from Next, need belt on the jeans though and a new cossie, skirt and jogging bottoms from Mothercare along with a big maternity pillow, almost as long as me

honeyapple · 05/04/2007 11:39

Yes, good luck to everybody who has scans next week - me included...

I am feeling a mixture of excitement and fear..but the excitement seems to be prevailing, so let's hope that continues...(as there is no way of predicting the outcome, there also no point getting overly stressed about it...and it's better to look at the bright side!)

Happy Easter/holidays/break, etc to everyone as well...

hi guys i am 12 weeks too..

i am due a another scan soon and i also have to go to a specialist hospital, kings college, to check for birth defects, as my first baby was stillborn, he had gastrochisis, so i will be having scans done about 14 weeks to see if this baby is ok, or not very worrying,

happy easter to you all, xx

maisym · 07/04/2007 21:40

b2b - sorry to hear what happened xxx hope things will be ok. Will you have your partner or a friend with you for the scan?

beanie2bump · 07/04/2007 22:36

yeah my dp will come with me, just worrying but the chances are appanrently very slim i think only about five double cases have been recorded, so fingers crossed all will be ok,,,xx

buffythenappyslayer21 · 08/04/2007 10:17

jersey · 08/04/2007 15:11

Happy Easter everyone, Lots of choclate!!!!

Thanks for help on croup but DS1 recovered quite quickly after the doctor gave him some tablets. DS2 teeth not emerged yet but you can see them all in his gums, wish they would hurry up so we might get some sleep. Out in the garden enjoying the sun, amazing for a bank holiday. .

Good luck those having scans this week.

WinnieThePooh · 08/04/2007 20:11

Happy easter everyone.

I won't be about much this week as we are going away on Wednesday and I need to get sorted.

Good luck to everyone with scans this week.

maisym · 09/04/2007 20:26
