hi evryone!!

ive definately been feeling mine move.its not all the time, just every now and again its like the baby has touched the side of the womb or something.its like a little knock!wasnt sure at first if it was baby, but am convinced now as it is quite regular and always the same.

hoep everyone is well today.i was sick again this morning.just wish my body would make up its mind as to if ms has finished or not!!

dh handed his notice in today and spent most of the mornig ringing benefits people up to see if we'll get help with the rent and council tax and income suport, especially as he walked out of the job (he was being harrassed and bullied by aniother staff member)benefits said yes we will,as dh is now taking on the roll of full time carer for dd (im ds1's carer).

big relief that we will get help towards rent etc.

thats about it for today, hope you all have a great weekend!!!

missnatalie · 30/03/2007 18:16

Think ill re-phase what i said earlier. The feelings that i keep getting feel more like flutters not bubbles. I just phoned my mum to ask if it could possibly be the baby that im feeling. When i told her it was like a bubble sentation she said "are you sure you dont need to fart natalie" . Thats definatly not the case.

honeyapple · 30/03/2007 18:41

Hi natalie- i think it probably is the baby. I am 10 wks too, and have been feeling similar things. I do remember it from previous PG, but not until 12-14 wks I think. Is this your first baby?
Are you quite slim?- I think this probably makes a difference. Maybe?
Lie down quietly for half an hour and really concentrate on your tum.

Hi fettle- I'm feeling rough too today- sore chest and throat- and DD has a temp too! Just in time for Easter holidays....

Hi to everyone else.

WinnieThePooh · 30/03/2007 18:53

On Thursday last week I posted that DD's teacher had told me that there was a case of slapped cheek in the class.

I went for the blood test last Friday and called today for the results. Apparently the sample was insufficient, so I need to get the test repeated. I have booked the appointment for Tuesday next week.

I hate the waiting.

ejt1764 · 30/03/2007 19:24

just popping in - I've had a rough day - but I just want to reassure you Winnie, that if anything was going to happen because of the slapped cheek, it probably would have happened already. Not much help, I know ...

Take care all.

(from the July 2006 mums)

MrsFish · 30/03/2007 21:44

Forgive me for being dense.... but what is 'slapped cheek' never heard of it before

missnatalie · 31/03/2007 13:43

Hi Honeyapple,

this is my 3rd pregnancy but sadly they ended at 6 & 9 weeks.

Ive tried lying down and concentrating on my tummy but i seem to feel the flutters more when im sat upright.

I hope it is the baby that i can feel. It gives me more hope that everything is ok.

jersey · 31/03/2007 15:04

Hi back again. Don't get change to get on here very often at the moment. Thanks for the congrats Wallace good to hear from you.

EJT I don't mind u asking, re poss planned c/s I have been on the point of emergency c/s twice now with DS2's head getting stuck that my midwife is going to refer me to see whether it is something that could happen again (3rd time unlucky!!!)!

We are all full of cold at mo and DS2 has been really bad with very high temps. I hate having colds when you can't take anything, esp when I can't breath as I am so bunged up. Any suggestions please???????

Bump is getting bigger, 2 weeks till 1st scan, can't wait.

Good luck and hope everyone is feeling better now.

ejt1764 · 31/03/2007 16:21

Hi all,

Am trying to get my head around the fact that we're goi ng away tomorrow - so this will probably be my last post until we come back!

missnatalie - it sounds like it could be - every now and again, I feel mine fizzing in my lower abdomen ... I didn't feel ds until I was 22 weeks - but I was quite a lot bigger than I am now (although if I carry on eating like I am at the moment to stave off the nausea, then I will end up in the same place!) ...

buffy - good that you'll get help with rent and stuff - and that you'll get more help with the children!

jersey - nice to see you again! I had an emergency c section with ds as he got wedged ... I'm going to try for a vbac this time as I found the recovery from the c section horrendous.

Right - I'm off to read the rules on what liquids I can take on the plane. DS has come down with all mothers and fathers of a cold this morning - he sounds like a cross between Darth Vader and Lassie just now!

Have a lovely Easter everybody!

honeyapple · 01/04/2007 14:54

Hiya,

Missnatalie- so sorry to hear of your lost babes . You are 10.5 wks now and I am sure you have been feeling your baby wiggle .

Well- I am feeling like I am at deaths door. Horrendous cold/cough/temp/dizzy/shivery... have been taking paracetamol, but dont want to keep taking it . My kids have all been ill too- DD is asleep in bed at the moment. I was supposed to be at a wedding today- but NO way I am up to it, so DP has gone on his own. I've only just got out of bed to find a bomb has hit the house. Think I will be going back to bed soon.
Sorry- feeling very sorry for myself.

MrsFish · 01/04/2007 17:14

It seems to be going round. I have been feeling pretty shitty for the past couple of days too, headaches, feeling very tired and dodgy tum (feels like trapped wind...tmi?) can't seem to get rid though so I feel really uncomfortable, also bad heartburn.

I hope we all feel better soon. On the up side the weather is supposed to be improving and next weekend should be really nice

WinnieThePooh · 01/04/2007 18:58

HI there
"slapped cheek" is also known as parvo virus. There is a there on MN about it here

I have felt really rough today. Woke up with a headache, but seemed to be a bit better after having another hour in bed. Tummy has felt yucky all day. Not eaten much (bowl of cereal, a little sausage roll at a party DD was at and a tiny bit her mars ice cream bar) and threw it up about 4pm. Have not long eaten dinner, so I am hoping that will be ok.

I hope everyone else is ok.

thehairybabysmum · 02/04/2007 10:01

Morning ladies....sorry to see that quite a few of you are feeling rough with various lurgies...hope you all feel better soon.

I had my NF scan on sat...was fab, all ok, risk decreased from 1/240 due to my age to 1/15000 from bloods/scan etc. I know its not 100% but v. reassuring.

Was great to see a lovely wriggly little baby in there. DS was good as gold and was pointing at the screen on the ceiling.

Hope everyone (who're not ill that is) had a nice weeekend in the sunshine...we did some digging and weeding down the allotment on sat. DS had a great time picking stones up!

Good luck to those of you with scans this week.

honeyapple · 02/04/2007 10:09

Great news HBM!
How old are you (if you dont mind me asking)? I have a nuchal on the 10th. Not sure whether to pay the extra £30 for the blood tests. I am 30 yrs old.
TBH I am having the scan mainly to see the baby and check it's ok and whether there is more than 1! NHS here doesnt offer scan till 20wks- which I feel is too long to wait as had 12 wk scan with DD in London on NHS.

I went to GP today- no infection, just a virus, so paracetamol, water and rest. Glad really as didnt want to take antibiotics. Hopefully will start feeling perkier soon.

How is every one else? Threads gone a bit quite this weekend. Everyone out and about in the sunshine .

thehairybabysmum · 02/04/2007 10:34

i'm 37 HA...i think the big difference in teh age stats is after 35 so i wouldnt worry too much.

I had NF last time for the same reasons too...no scan til 20 wks and i wanted to have a look before then. The clinic you are using should be able to give you the stats for teh additional % detection rates when you have bloods + scan for your age. I think the leeds antenatal screening centre (not sure of web address but it should come up on google) might have the info listed too.

Mumpbump · 02/04/2007 10:37

Well done, hairbabysmum! 1 in 15000 is fantastic odds...

Reposting the list of scans. Went a bit funny on me so apologies if I've lost anyone...

Hi all, sorry ot hear so many are ill. Thanks for the advice for my sore ears it really helped. I feel much better now but I still have glands that are swollen and look like half a boiled egg on my neck. Very sore.

Well done on the scan HBM, we are doing well arent we.

I had my MW appointment Saturday and we discussed VBAC vs Csection. I really dont know what to do. I might go and read all the VBAC threads and have a think.

Just bumped up the scan list. Good luck tomorrow Hillybilly.

Mumpbump · 02/04/2007 10:48

Great minds think alike, Kezza!

Very tired today. Spent yesterday doing battle with a monster bramble in our garden! I have lots of strained muscles from pulling the roots out and prickles in my fingers... Ds was really whingey over the weekend. It's not his fault as our house is a bit of a building site still (2 years on from starting) so I'm constantly having to stop him from going where he wants to because it's not safe. I don't know how you cope, Buffy! I think it's great you'll have dh to help out when the next one arrives.

Sorry to hear that everyone else (pretty much) is under the weather. It's not what you need when you're pg, is it?

Winnie - hope you get your test results back soon and that there is nothing to worry about...

Doesn't it feel today like spring might really be here?

LOL Mrsfish they are 2 seriously weird dreams.

I forgot the smileys off my list though Mumpbump!

today is lovely here, spring has most definately sprung round here

thehairybabysmum · 02/04/2007 11:06

Thanks everyone.

KezzaG...i have to decide on the VBAC/CS thing too...am tempted to have another c/s but still unsure.

MrsF...strange dreams here too...last night i dreamt that i was really smelly at work?? How odd is that, im fairly sure im not the office smelly but did spend an extra few minutes in the shower this morning.

My best dream when pg with DS was when i dreamt i was a superhero...really vivid dream of flying and swimming underwater with my baby!! Must be the hormones.

Hello everyone.
I'm popping in rather carefully atm. I only found out yesterday that I am pregnant.
I had a really really light period last month which is very unusual for me so I think I could be about 12 weeks with a due date of 23rd October.
Its been a massive shock as my ds was only born in August and we also have a 3 year old dd. I'm a bit scared of being a 3rd timer, lol!

I'm still waiting to hear from the MW but when I know exact dates, I will come back again.
