Afternoon all ...

polarmummy - I wish I'd found mn when I was pg with ds!

MrsFish - I hate the bad dreams too - I had one last night that I went back to work - and was made to teach Maths (I teach French!) - It was horrendous, as they were doing simultaneous equations, and I was having real problems focussing on the page!

j20 - I keep having the 2hr awakenings - I don't remember this at all when pg with ds! bizarre!

kezza - at your lo!

mumpbump - enjoy your diy this weekend.

hairybaby - I have bought 2 of these and they are fantastic - my jogginf bottoms were getting uncomfortably tight around my tum, and this means I can wear my normal trousers, and just not do them up! They're fairly pricey, but they're very good quality!

I spent some time earlier sorting out ds's cupboard - as we're going away on Sunday, I have to sort out his hot weather clothes - and a lot of his jumpers are too small, so I sorted everything out!

Am going to plant some shallots and some beetroot this afternoon I think! May also pot up my sweet peppers ...

take care all!

i got my maternity clothes down from the attic at the weekend. for some reason i am trying to hold off wearing them as long as i can! i am squeezing into my jeans still and undoing them everytime i sit down (when i can get away with it!) i feel like i should get to at least 14 weeks before starting to wear them.
glad to see so many smily faces on the scans! no twins yet? come on someone!!!

greedyforbabies · 27/03/2007 14:29

how much are the bumpbands then ejt?

ejt1764 · 27/03/2007 15:10

hi greedy - they cost £18 each plus p&p ... I haven't got much in the way of maternity clothes - I was so determined that I'd never do pg / birth again that I sold all my maternity clothes!

Those I do have, I bought last year when I got to 12 weeks (before I found I'd mc obviously) - and all the trousers are in too big a size - I lost a lot of weight last year - so the bumpband will be useful to keep the trousers up on those too!

hi everyone!

how is everyone today?

had housing officer come to see us yesterday (about paedophile and about our new house) and she brought the plans for us to see and told me that our new house will be ready for us to move into at the end of october!!i cant believe it!!weve waited 3 years for this and now its finally happening!!we had been told the house would be redy april next year, but apparently they have a deadline in october and all the new houses have be ready in october!

my only worry is that baby bump will come one day and we'll get given the keys the next!!plus theres xmas on top of all that!do you think its too early to satrt buying pressies???!!!after all,ive got baby things to get,new things for the house (mainly a new electric cooker as the village we are moving to doesnt have gas!)

panic mode will soon take over me thinks!!

greedyforbabies · 27/03/2007 16:17

hey fifi! if you can cope with 5 kids at the moment, you can probably cope with moving house and giving birth on the same day! or even at the same time!!!

fifitheflowertotslayer · 28/03/2007 10:11

pmsl greedy!!!can you imagine it?!

telling dh where to put what furniture whilst huffing and puffing and pushing baby out!!!!

how is everyone today?im feeling really fed up today.cant explain why either, just feel really down in the dumps!think i need some retail therapy!!

was really sick last night, first time for about a week.and woke up with a banging headache this morning (that probably caused my fedupness!!that and the crappy weather weve got!)

hope everyone else is ok,and that you all have better weather than weve got here!!!

J20BABYLOVESCHOCOLATEEGGS · 28/03/2007 10:14

hi fifi, i woke up with a banging headache this morning too, just after yesterday when i was gloating it had gone!

its really foggy and horrible here today, and i'm feeling crap and sick, retail therapy sounds good, might go to asda and look at baby clothes, or even easter eggs

fifitheflowertotslayer · 28/03/2007 10:18

j20,wait for me!!im coming with you!!baby clothes and easter egss sounds good to me!!!

Mumpbump · 28/03/2007 10:20

Morning all! Well, we have glorious sunshine again here today, but I am knackered as I was awake from 03:00 to 06:00 this morning. Finally managed to fall back to sleep and had a dream about leaving ds on his own outside whilst I ran an errand and then (surprise, surprise) being unable to find him again half an hour later. In the dream, our house was near a main road, so I was really panicking... Not the best start to the day!

I had really bad insomnia in the third trimester last time, but don't know how I'm going to cope if it goes the whole way through the pg this time. I shall have to buy some wool and start knitting soon, I guess. I found that kept me busy/satisfied my nesting urge, without me winding up physically exhausted...

Sorry to hear that the headaches are persisting, fifi and J20. I think retail therapy sounds like a great idea!!

J20BABYLOVESCHOCOLATEEGGS · 28/03/2007 10:21

tbh fifi, i'm probably going to sit here and feel sorry for myself all day unless my head eases off. i should really be packing for weekend, cleaning the car, filling up with petrol, checking oil, tyres...etc, getting the cat food, so my friend doesn't come to feed the kitties at weekend and there isn't any, cleaning my windows, hoovering........oh i need to lie down

ejt1764 · 28/03/2007 12:02

morning all,

it's clearing up here - the sun has just come out, so I shall be out to sit outide the back door in a minute!

fifi - great news about your house being ready earlier than anticipated - you'll manage it, no sweat!

As for the Christmas shopping - I'm one of those saddos who does most of theirs in the January sales - so much of mine is done - stocking fillers anyway ... we usually have everybody (my parents, pils (or should that read pitas?), and my sister) - but this year we're inviting nobody and we're going to have a quiet Christmas, just us!

j20 & fifi - pats to you for your headaches!

mumpbump - pats to you too for the insomnia - I've started waking up at 5.30am - which is crap! I either get up and have something to eat, then come back to bed for a bit, or lie there and start wretching ... dh knows which one he prefers!

Am getting excited about my holiday ....

Morning

My headache seems to have finally lifted and the weather is glorious here again today, going to make the most of it before it goes crap again. Am off to some play area somewhere with friends and their lo's in an hour, let ds burn some energy off

Had some retail therapy yesterday, went and bought new curtains and some picture frames for the new guest room. Managed to persuade dh to give it its first coat last night, so I only need to finish off now

Hope those of you that have had a bad start to the day perk up a bit, going to spend money certainly works for me when I am a bit down.

My dream last night was going for my next scan, nothing bad last night thank god did show me that I was going to have another boy though, so will just have to wait and see

fifitheflowertotslayer · 28/03/2007 13:10

well, been doing some retail browsing!!decided that i was going to start my search for the perfect double pushchair!dd will be 3 when baby arrives, but as she has cf and asthma, she cant walk very far without getting out of breath or having an asthma attack,so ive decided that as shes still little (shes small for her age) i would get a double pram.and........arrrrggggghhhhhh there are so many!actually, too many!was looking on ebay whilst on the phone with my mum and my mum is there pointing out that the seats on the tandams (graco, jane etc) look small.so suggested i get a "proper pram"as in a silver cross coach built monster and plonk a seat on top for dd!

not a bad idea really, but as the village we are moving to is small, you walk through it in about a minute, and the only time i would be using it would be to take ds to the school,as when dh is home we will have a pushchair each,i dont really see the point in spending a fortune on one!(even though i do think they are lovely and look gorgeous with all teh sun canopy on!!)

so my search is back on.i know its ages away until baby comes, but ive decided to get my baby stuff first and then concentrate on the things we need for the new house along with xmas pressies!!!

god,why is everything seeming to be complicated today!!me thinks its just becuase ive got a headache still and dd is doing her best to play up!(shes stripped off and has bad wind-due to her medicines- but keeps shouting "i dont stink ive farted"!!my older kids have a lot to answer for!!!)

buffythenappyslayer21 · 28/03/2007 13:32

just wanted to let you know i decided to chnage my name back (after the probs on that other thread!) but also had to delete my registration and start again!!bloody thing wouldnt let me update and said i had no kids!

am blaming the baby brain for my blondeness but secretly hoping its a site prob and that i arent officially thick!!!

Mumpbump · 28/03/2007 13:34

Hurray! Personally, I preferred your original name. I liked the idea of a kick-ass nappy slayer!!! Particularly after ds' gastric bout!

buffythenappyslayer21 · 28/03/2007 13:37

dd is the same!she has that many medicines that she has got the runs constantly!(am struggling to slay them there stinky ones at the mo,have to take deep breath and hold until shes clean!!!bllody morning sickness!!)

ejt1764 · 28/03/2007 14:50

buffy - ooooh, the thought of stinkiness and ms - bleuuuugh - you have my deepest sympathy!

I really ought to get around to changing my name to something more interesting!

Perhaps we could have a competition to think of a new name for me ... prize? I can probably stretch to an Easter egg!

daisy - hope your last few days of work don't drag too much - enjoy your maternity leave ... exactly the right time for hogging that sunlounger!

OP posts:
buffythenappyslayer21 · 28/03/2007 16:16

ejt, jsut asked ds2 what your name should be,he suggested ......scoobythedoodooslayer!!!he said we could have a room full of slayer!bless him!!!

will get the rest of my mob to think of names for you!!(my brain is like mush at the mo!!)

ejt1764 · 28/03/2007 16:17

ejt1764 · 28/03/2007 17:21

I'm 36, and the word doodoo still has the same effect on me!

(I know, there's no hope!)

OP posts:
buffythenappyslayer21 · 28/03/2007 17:22

lol!!!youd do well in our house then!!!are you going to have a name change then?(i had massive probs when i tried and ended up deleting registration and starting again!might be a mixture of the baby brain and the blondeness!!)

Kittiwake · 28/03/2007 17:37

Yay Yay everything is okay

Had scan this afternoon and baby looks fine, heartbeat there and just the right size for dates so so so pleased as was very nervous. Went to see PIL afterwards and tell them the news and we all ended up blubbing.

Plus they had some little lambs just a few hours old - which I didn't go near because of the whole sheep thing - but were so cute also made me want to cry.

So all in all a great day, worst bit was that midwife couldn't find a vein for bloodtest so I feel a bit like a pincoushin now.
