Hi all,

Mandler - great news about your scan ... the stats are very much in your favour now! Mind you, I don't think I'll be able to relax about this pg properly until the baby is born safely! ... then of course, we get the mum-worries!

fifi - don't let stupid people get to you ... hope all goes well tomorrow!

jersey - hiya - nice to see you back - just to be awkward, why do you need a planned c section? Whathappened last time (tell me to bog off if I'm being too nosy!)

Am very tired - this weekend has been very hectic - in-laws decided to come and visit today .... enough said!

KezzaG · 25/03/2007 20:24

Evening all.

fif Im glad you came back, I didnt post on your other thread, I hope it all gets sorted.

I have just been sorting out my maternity clothes, blimey I worse some hideous stuff last time! Some of the tops are just naff, but at least there is loads more choice now.

Im with everyone else being knackered, ds was a bit poorly last night so I am really tired tonight.

Hope everyone is well (in laws permitting ejt) talk to you all soon

KezzaG · 26/03/2007 09:47

Good luck with the scan today Winnie.

fifitheflowertotslayer · 26/03/2007 10:07

morning everyone!

sorry,i must have put the wrong date for my consultant app,its a week today.(2nd april-cant believe were nearly in april already!!)

j20,ive got family in east hull.my aunty lives greatfield estate.love east park!took my kids there after we had come through for my nannas funeral.they loved it,wish we had something here like that for them.

can sympathise with the headaches, been getting alot just lately, but put it down to stress not the baby, although the midwife said its common to have headaches early pg because of all the hormones.have you tried those gel things you plonk on your head?they are fab, really work.that forhead stuff might work aswell, didnt for me,but might for you and at least its drug free.

mw said itchy swollen ankels are also common, again to do with hormones and blood flow (increased blood flow in legs can cause the itching, but she said if it gets bad to see gp)

got housing coming today to show me the plans for our new house and to discuss the paedo at the end of our street, shes also going to see him, even though hes not meant to be there at this time of the day,so maybe she'll catch him there.im hoping anyway.
cant wait to see the plans for our new house, they are building us a 5/6 bed house which will be adapted especially for dd and ds who are both disabled.more so for dd who needs room for all her physio equiptment.am v excited about the move which should be in november,so can you imagine what fun we'll have moving house with 5 kids and a new baby!!

anyway, waffle over now!hope everyone is ok,and yes im back for good!!!(have decided to ignore stupid people who know naff all about me,my family or the paedo in our street!!!)

hope you all have a good day and good luck winnie for your scan!!!xxx

Mumpbump · 26/03/2007 12:29

Morning! Very tired after ds continuing to wake twice a night and slightly confused today - posted good luck to Winnie on the pg after m/c thread so that will have everyone wondering what I'm on about!!

Good to have you back, fifi. I think you just have to take what you want from MN and ignore the less pleasant stuff, unfortunately. The cost of freedom of speech, I guess.

No pg symptoms at all now, other than just tiredness and I suspect that has more to do with ds than this pg! Hope everyone is doing well today...

honeyapple · 26/03/2007 14:59

Mumpbump- i can sympathise with you today. DD decided to be up half the night... complaining of a sore ear, gave calpol, but she then decided that she couldnt sleep... and why should anyone else! Poor DS who shares a room with her was knackered this morning when i took him to school. I am also feeling like a zombie! DD is normally a wonderful sleeper, so I think it hits you worse when you arent used to be woken up. Can't wait for a newborn again!!

CD26 for me and still no OV

ejt1764 · 26/03/2007 19:26

Hi MrsMc - lovely to see you - hopefully the eggie will turn up soon!

Winnie - fab news

Kitti - good luck for Wednesday!

Commiserations to those who are suffering through lack of sleep ... as someone who seriously thought about applying to 'House of Tiny Tearaways' when ds's sleep problems were at their worst, then you have my deepest sympathy .... do you remember the little girl who got out of bed over 200 times? ds was like her!! However, we conquered the beast (not that ds is a beast! - well, not much), so there is an end to it!

Quotes from ds this past few days:

Simon (who we'll be staying with in Dubai): 'You're coming on an aeroplane to see us soon, aren't you?'
DS: 'yeth' (ds has a lisp!)
Simon: 'What are you going to do when you get here?'
DS: 'I'm going to get off the aeroplane.'

and...

me: 'we'll be sleeping on the plane when we go to the desert'
ds: 'will the driver be asleep too?'

and ...

ds: 'what's that?'
me: 'it's a radio mast'
ds: 'why does it have a light on it?' (it was dark)
me: 'so the planes don't crash into it.'
ds: 'do they switch the light off in the daytime?'

sorry, that has nothing to do with pg - just thought you might appreciate a bit of light relief ....

by the way ... do they switch the light off the radio masts in the daytime?

fettleandminifettle · 26/03/2007 20:58

Hello all

can I re-join? Went through a really negative time prior to my dating scan, when I managed to convince myself I was about to have my 3rd mc, but I had the scan on Friday and although the little one wasn't moving much, his heart was beating strongly. the sonographer has changed my dates, so my actual official due date is 23rd Sept, but I know that that is physically (read sexually) impossible!!, so I'm sticking with my original thought of Oct 2nd, so technically I'm still allowed on this thread??

Really didn't agree with her maths anyway - measured head as 12+5 and length as 13+2 and then came up with a date of 13+6![hmmm] Think I must have missed something!!

Glad to hear that there have been lots of good scan results on here.

ejt, your DS sounds adorable!! ps I think they do switch radio masts off during the day - at least there is one on the M4 that seems have its light's switched off during the day!

take care all
xxx

PolarMummy · 26/03/2007 21:42

Hello Everyone!

Winnie congrats! I am sure you are still grinning

Kitti good luck for Wednesday, remember to let us know how you get on.

Fifi I am so glad you decided to come back and stay with us, as a firstimer I need your expert advice! I haven't read the other thread but I am sure the comments were very distressing for you.

MrsMc good to hear from you, I hope you are keeping well and I am sure everything will start happening agin for you very soon.

Hello to everyone else hope everyone is keeping well.

Ronniebaby · 26/03/2007 23:08

Just wanted to jump in.

Winnie - thanks for letting me come with you today, bub looks great, and thanks for the scan.

Have shown my boys, DS1 is excited a new playmate.

Hope all goes well.

Ladies - good luck with your pregnancies

MrsFish · 27/03/2007 08:58

Good morning to all the new arrivals

Well, I am now on my third day of headache, I bought some of the 4head stuff from Boots yesterday, it seems to work quite well, but it doesn't take the headache away for long, so am taking the paracetemol aswell when I feel I really need it.

Had an awful bad dream this morning, where I was trying to get to nursery to pick up ds but things kept getting in the way and I couldn't get there, finally after about 6 days I was reunited with him... blimey, the hormones then took over and I woke up in tears, it has taken me till now to get over it I'm ok now though

I am going to attempt to start painting the spare room today, its the last room in the house to be done since we moved in 5 years ago and I suddenly have the urge to transform it Beats going to the gym and I think it will give me a much better work out

Hope you all enjoy your tuesday it is supposed to be beautiful this afternoon.

thehairybabysmum · 27/03/2007 09:43

Good to see all the smiley faces, good luck kitti for weds. ooo i think im next after kitti...roll on sat!!

MrsMc...i had 45 days betweeen the end of my m/c and my next period. Dont know if i ov or not but obviously i did the next month as im on here. I think it is normal to have a strange cycle at first...not that this helps if you are desperate to get pg again assap like i was. Fingers crossed for you though

ejt...how cute is your LO...he sounds lovely. I think they leavev the lights on in the day you just can't see as its light....not sure why i think this is the case though???

Hope everyone is ok...im eating like an absolute horse...my clothes are v. tight but im sure this is due to my food intake rather than the baby! Had to dig out a couple of maternity shirts for work as the buttons dont do up at the bottom on my normal ones.

I am also squeezed into the trousers which i bought as a size up last time i was pg...i didnt buy them until after 12 weeks and wore them until at least wk 20...will be lucky if i get another fortnight out of them this time!!

J20BABYLOVESCHOCOLATEEGGS · 27/03/2007 10:02

oo mrsfish your nesting is kicking in, be careful with the fumes from the paint
i keep having bad dreams, its awful when it seems so real when you wake up.

my headaches seem to be easing off, (touch wood)

i'm so tired today, didn't get to sleep till late then my dd woke me at 5am, i really feel for all those with little ones that are still waking in the night, i can't cope with 1 disturbed night, although i have been waking in the middle of the night and not being able to get to sleep for an hour or 2, i don't know how i'd manage if i had to actually get up and do something!

i think my iron tablets have finally started kicking in, at work yesterday, i got told i don't look like death warmed up as much as i have been doing, surely thats a good thing although getting the usual problems with taking the iron tablets, time for bran flakes methinks

mrsmc, lovely to hear from you, i hope your doing ok

winnie, great news, so pleased for you.

fettle, so glad your back, it must have been so stressful for you, glad it was good news.

ejt, thanks for light entertainment

well, i'm taking my dd and her friend away to Norfolk for the weekend on fri, a 4 hour drive, but kind of looking forward to it, hopefully it will get warmer and the 2 girls will entertain themselves while i relax
i'm a little wary of going on my own, but hey, i'm a big girl now, i'll cope

sorry if i've left anyone out, hope everyone has a ovely day

J20BABYLOVESCHOCOLATEEGGS · 27/03/2007 10:03

maybe even a Lovely day

MrsMcEasterBunny · 27/03/2007 10:31

Thanks ladies

thehairybabysmum - that's good to know! thank you for sharing!

KezzaG · 27/03/2007 11:28

Morning all

ejt that made me laugh. Sometimes when ds is playing me up and I am making him do something (ie get dressed) and he is wailing, I say to him, "I feel so sorry for you, I must ruin your life" in a kind of jokey way. So, the other day he wouldnt get in the car so I lifted him in. Cue lots of crying and then he says "mummy you have ruined my life". I burst out laughing which has just encouraged him even more!

Im afraid I hjave nothing to add to the lights on or off in the day debate

Mrs, I had 12 weeks between mc and 1st AF so I think it can take some time to get back to normal. good luck with it.

J20, have a nice time in Norfolk. I keep thinking of going there so let me know what it is like.

HBM, I know what you mean about trousers that you wore before being too tight or fitting at 12 weeks pg that lasted a long while last time. I dread to think what size I am going to end up.

It looks like a lovely day out so I might try to get some sunshine at lunchtime. Have a good day everyone.

Mumpbump · 27/03/2007 13:28

Morning all! This thread has been busy overnight, hasn't it??

MrsMc - good to hear from you. You will ovulate eventually, that is guaranteed! I am sure I will see you on the pg after m/c thread in the not too distant future...

J20 - enjoy your break. Makes me feel quite jealous as all that this weekend has in store for us is DIY on the house...

MrsFish - use the nesting instinct to your advantage, I say! I have waxed two doors in the last week which is more than I have done in the last few months!! There have to be some positive side effects of being pg...

Hairybabysmum - I think I will be in my maternity clothes within the next month. Last time, I could wear my normal clothes until I was 5 months pg. I am finding my appetite comes and goes a bit, but when I'm hungry, I am really hungry so can sympathise with the horse-like symptoms!

Hello to everyone else. Hope some of you are not stuck at work and able to get out to enjoy the sunshine!
