CaptainDippy · 17/03/2007 00:04

Bless.

I can't sleep - yet another argument with DH.

CaptainDippy · 17/03/2007 00:04
Sad
EllieK · 17/03/2007 00:04

anything bad?

CaptainDippy · 17/03/2007 00:07

I had a Taxi right up my bum and I panic-ed - knocked the car into a post - all he could do was shout at me, get angry and throw stuff and slam doors - not at all bothered about me. I was so hurt. I know I did a stupid thing, but he has got no sympathy or tolerance at all. I am so hurt and

CaptainDippy · 17/03/2007 00:08

Geez, don't worry about me - I am only 35 weeks PG.

EllieK · 17/03/2007 00:10

bless ya, driving is very scary sometimes, i often panic, and i passed over 7 years ago!

and yes, he is being really unfair

is he getting stressed about all the changes?

CaptainDippy · 17/03/2007 00:12

Yes, I expect so - and our finances are not good at all. I just feel so alone.

EllieK · 17/03/2007 00:14

it's only a car, so you'll be driving it with a bit of a dent, you're ok, so are all your children, he'll get over it.

CaptainDippy · 17/03/2007 00:19

I know (although I think the light fitting may need replacing asap) - It is just the way he reacted that really hurt. We've been arguing A LOT recently - esp on Saturdays and I was hoping so much this was going to be an "argument-free" Sat. Clearly I was mistaken.

EllieK · 17/03/2007 00:22

any reason why saturdays? is it cos it's the first day you spend a block of time together in the week?

our problem day was wednesday, i think cos we were apart all week so by then we were stressed by being part.

i'm sure if he realised how much he'd hurt you he'd be distressed by it, and there's still loads of saturday to go x

CaptainDippy · 17/03/2007 00:26

He knows how hurt I am. He is very selfish. I am trying to see his side, but I just feel too confused atm. Anyway, I should probably go to bed and try and get some sleep. Thanks hon. xx

EllieK · 17/03/2007 00:30

it'll all feel better after some sleep - yeah right

seriously tho, you know we're here and there's an empty kingsize bed here if you and dd's want it

EllieK · 17/03/2007 00:31

don't worry about seeing his side, just worry about keeping you and the girls safe and well, let him look after himself.

goodnight x

Katy44 · 17/03/2007 07:46

Morning everyone - still lurking as I haven't tidied away the laptop yet!
CB, sorry to hear about your DS's leg. I bed he's enjoying the sympathy now though! Do they still get casts their friends can write on?
CD - I have this kind of argument with DH quite a bit, it's really hurtful isn't it?
1b3 - for some reason I've got it into my head that Zebedee is becoming more popular. The only reason I asked about mishearing is that already when I tell people our baby's name (Tristan) - I get 'Justin?', then when I repeat it 'Christin??'.Mind you that's probably my accent so I wouldn't worry, and there's a lot less to get wrong with Zed It's really nice name, sounds traditional but isn't common.
Did anyone notice the October AN group had a thread referring to knicker checking? I was wondering whether to warn them, but I thought it might flare the whole thing up again.
Was I meant to email someone something?? Octo, was I meant to send you that document about BF that mmk posted? Did I?
Am still deciding if I need a lambskin, but CD (I think??) will probably be in touch! (If in doubt, shop!)
Speak to you all later xx

Katy44 · 17/03/2007 07:47

That should be 'bet he's enjoying the sympathy ' - is that my body telling me I should be asleep still??

YvieE · 17/03/2007 07:50

Morning ladies

Hope you are all well.

CD - I totally echo Ellie glad you and the girls are okay after the minor prang. I've been driving for 9 years and other drivers can be so unreasonable and impatient some times which can make me panic - but don't ever feel pressured by other drivers, if they want to go faster then they can overtake. I know though that it was the reaction of DH that upset you the most - it does seem to be quite a stressful time for most couples at the mo i guess alot of nervousness, excitiment and worry (disatrous combination). But guess what you are not alone - we are all here for you - so >
Twinkle - So sorry to hear about the job, a friend of mine was also made redundant from our last company whilst on mat leave and you know what it was the best thing that ever happened to her, after mat leave she got a better paying job, closer to home with parent friendly hours! So don't stress enjoy your maternity leave and know that where one door close another is sure to open.
1B3 - I also like the name Zed, hope you find a name for DT2. DP and I are having name fights at the moment I think he's doing it to wind me up.
CB - I was so sorry to hear about your DS, hope he is not in too much pain and loads of people sign his cast!
Well the nesting instinct has not kicked in for me at 35 weeks, but my house is messy and I can't wait any longer so off to do some housework. Have a lovely saturday.

YvieE · 17/03/2007 07:51

Katy what are you doing up so early?

YvieE · 17/03/2007 07:54

Just realised it's taken me ages to catch up and write my post (plus make a cup of coffee, go to the loo twice)that nearly an hour has gone past so i'll take that comment back Katy
