Thanks girls, I feel like I am always on here with a tale of woe about our family´s health. In RL I am known for not complaining!!! Poor DS, he was in so much pain but seems to have setlled now that the cast is on.
I was fine all the time in the hospital; even when they wouldn´t let me in the x ray room with him (for being pg of course) and DD1 had to go (only 6 bless her) and I could hear him howling, and they both came out looking shell shocked. But when they told me it was a break and then they were plastering him and he was hysterical on my knee because they had to straighten his leg and meanwhile the doctor was going on and on about which piece of paper I had to take to which doctor and who would ring me when anyway, I kept asking her what she´d said as my head was everywhere, and eventually she said to the nurse "She doesn´t understand any of this, does she?" (in Spanish of course).... and I was so frustrated because my Spanish is fine but the situation was just so hard and when I heard her say that I just dissolved. Sorry, feel better for getting that of my chest.
Anyway, poor thing has had ibuprofen and is in bed now and seems fine. And maveta, yes, thanks, you´re right..at least I did take him in when it happened. There have been plenty of occasions when I´ve waivered over possible head trauma and then convinced myself he´s fine, so it´s nice to know that my pain radar was spot on.
Anyway, haven´t even read the thread from this evening. Any babies yet?? It was quite weird being in the hospital because the chilren´s A&E admission window is about 2 feet away from the maternity admissions window, and there was a woman there checking in obviously in the firsst stages of labour. I thought, in a couple of weeks I´ll be there . Maybe I can get DS´s cast taken off when he comes in for a visit!!!
