Hello again all thanks for you kind thoughts about my giant fibroid am not going to worry any more about it- will just chill out and focus on babys room decoration as therapy. Just spent £375 in mamas & papas on curtains, bumper set etc . I am bad, BAD! whips self had to peel off all the prices before I got home so dp didnt have heart attack...

good result maveta on your money, and sorry everyone else I'm so tired I only skimmed but whoever said 'Zed' as a name I like it lots :O) way cool

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 16/03/2007 18:38

Evening all.

WO, your post was so lovely - you really do sound well excited about the baby.

Nothing much going on here. Dh not going to be back for an age as his flight has been delayed - boo hiss. I don't know why they arrange these meetings for a bloody Friday. It's crazy at the end of a long hard week not to be getting home until 8.30/9.00, esp since he has been up since 3.30 am.

I need dh to be full of life and energy to make up for my lack of it!

Liath, really thought you may have gone off and had your baby!

Dogin, welcome back. Think it is v funny that you still have your christmas nickname!

Katy, good luck with the house viewing.

Glitterkitty, lol at you taking the prices off everything! I used to hide my purchases in the car and wait until dh was out before I bought them in the house! The lengths we go to eh!

Hope everyone else is ok. Back later.

runnyhabbit · 16/03/2007 18:40

Hello everyone!

Had a lovely nap, and woke up feeling rather refreshed and full of energy. Mum dropped ds off at 5, and has a great time (sorting out his grumpys shed).

maveta - great news about your ML

wo/maveta - you still get the negative comments when its your second. Usually along the lines of "you'll have your hands full" or "was this one planned" or "a 2 year age gap - are you mad?"

cd - I thought you were my homebirth buddy totally understand where you're coming from (me and dh have had the same conversation) I think if we had a birthing centre near us, then that would've been our compromise. But the mw really reassured dh, and basically said that I need to tick each of the boxes during labour - if I don't, then its straight to hospital.

1becomes3 · 16/03/2007 18:59

Wo- that was such a lovely positive post, I'm with you I am fed up of saying I'm having twins and people saying "oh dear" or "oh no" and then giving me their negative opinions on how my life will be.
I can't wait to meet my little two. (even if they are devil sporn as people seem to think that twins are)

Glad you had a good nap RH, I'm a bad mummy I stuck DD down on the couch in front of cbeebies and then I fell asleep next to her.

welcome back dogin hope you had a good time.

Katty- Is Zeb a popular name?
I don't think too many people will get zed wrong d is quite a strong sounding letter, if they do then we will just have to correct them.

My Dh has come home and he wants zed for one of the dt's if they are both boys so I have to come up with another unusual name for the other, not something that rhyms with zed like fred or ned but something different.

oooggs · 16/03/2007 19:21

Yes 1B3 - they are very different DT1 hides from the midwife and the 'scan man' so they find it hard to find him/her. DT2 is more relaxed. But we will see . Names are hard especially when you already have a child to 'match to'.

Well I have stripped both sets of loose covers off the sofas today and washed and dried them and dh is putting them back on must be NESTING!!!!

maveta - great about your mat leave

katy - hope the viewing went well

Not very good at catching up at the mo. Will anyone manage to deliver in March???? I hope I do I will be 38+3 on 1st April

mammyjo · 16/03/2007 20:05

Hi Oooggs, glad you are ok. I got your email so have stored your number in my phone ready for any messages!! Hopefully sooner rather than later.

mammyjo · 16/03/2007 20:06

I would love to have my baby in March. I will be 40 weeks on April 1st and would like to meet him/her before then!

eca · 16/03/2007 20:13

hey everyone, just popping in quickly before i settle down to some serious comic relief tv! Watched CR does the Apprentice last night and it was the best thing I've seen for ages (esp coz the girls team totally beat the boys inc. the evil Alistair Cambell and Piers Morgan.)

Anyway... more importantly...

baby has turned !!!!

Was soooo relieved that I nearly cried when mw said it. Am really excited about getting ready for a home birth now. Sending lots of baby turning vibes out there to those still hanging on!

Maveta - great news about mat leave. Well done lady!

1b3 - zed is very funky. Our dn is Zamani Bob. Also very funky. Is frankie getting a say in naming dts?

wo - glad you had such a positive appointment

GK - lol at your m&p spend. I just spent £45 on new duvet set for me not baby and was feeling vv guilty!!!

hi dogin - good to see you back!

SOSPL - sorry to hear dh's flight's delayed bummer.

err... there was something else, but can't remember what!

EllieK · 16/03/2007 20:14

at gran's at mo but will be on later at home so start thinking up new thread titles

i'll create a new thread once it goes quiet late tonight

eca · 16/03/2007 20:21

oh yes, i know i reckon some of our bubbas are going to end up with same b-days at this rate (cute!). Can't believe no-one's popped yet !

oooggs · 16/03/2007 20:37

Ooooggs- do you have any names for your DT's or is a surprise?

WestCountryLass · 16/03/2007 20:48

1B3, I really like Zed and Jed, both cool names imo! Is Frankie short for anything?

I LOVE the name Frances but DS has Francis as a MN

oooggs · 16/03/2007 20:50

DH says not to discuss it, but.......... you lot are different.

Erin Leigh (girl 1), Grace Lily (girl 2)
Luke ? & twin 2 ???? possibly Adam but no middle names finding boys really hard.

DS is called James Aaron so having to stay fairly traditional

How about you? other than Zed.

WestCountryLass · 16/03/2007 21:04

Nice names Oooogs, must be hard to think of the different combos! Can't think of any for our baby so we are going to decide after s/he arrives.

runnyhabbit · 16/03/2007 21:05

Love talking about baby names

We have finally decided on a girls name (I think!) - Ruby Kate. And if its a boy, it will be William Scott (which we had decided on pretty much from day one )

Even dh is suprised that no-one has had their baby yet (think he is a secret lurker )

claricebean · 16/03/2007 21:07

well girls, i am officially the worst mother as DS (he's 2) broke his leg this afternoon when i wasn't even in the room. he was playing with his sisters; i didn't realise but they were jumping off the rungs of the bunk bed ladders. poor thing. he's in a plastercast right up his leg. i didn't even go running when i heard him cry at first; thought it was just a usual bump. by the time i went he was crawling through the hall to me. feel absolutely awful. cast should be on for 15 to 20 days - EDD 19 days!!!

runnyhabbit · 16/03/2007 21:12

Have decided that there shall be no more talk of being bad mummies. We all have crap days, but as someone said before, it upsets US more than the dc (or anyone else)
So repeat after me "I am not a bad mummy, I am not a bad mummy"

Really like Jed

glitterkitty - lol at hiding the prices and spending so much in M&P tbh I think its the other way round in our house, esp after dh has been to the diy shop, and then tells me he absolutley needed this latest toy/gadget thing

oooggs · 16/03/2007 21:12

Oh claricebean I am sorry - but I am sure he will lap up the attention
Hope he is ok though and not in pain

maveta · 16/03/2007 21:13

oh claricebean - not at all.. my mum can beat that hands down!! My wee sis broke her leg on a trampoline when she was 3 and mum just thought she´d hurt it badly. wasn´t til the next afternoon when her chiropractor friend looked and it and said, I think this needs to get checked out, that she took her to get x-rayed. She must have felt AWFUL.

And my little sister got REALLY fast moving around with that thing, didn´t slow her down at all.

eca · 16/03/2007 21:13

oh no CB!!!!! Your poor ds and poor you!!!!! Don't feel bad, it's nothing you could have prevented, just awful timing for you all.

runnyhabbit · 16/03/2007 21:15

oh CB - you poor things (((((big hugs))))) to both of you. Don't know if it will make you feel any better, but I rarely go running to ds when he starts to cry

maveta · 16/03/2007 21:19

runny - too right re. reverse situation in our house. I don´t see any point trying to hide anything from dh. In any case I couldn´t as all our money is shared but he is a drummer AND works in an instrument shop. There have definitely been times where I have not been entirely aware of the extent of his debt to the shop owing to buying drum stuff! Very luckily for him I am pretty easy going and if he sorts out repayments without affecting me, hey ho.

In fact he just sold a drumkit and bought a new PIECE of a drumkit, not a whole drumkit, one part of it for...?800!! Which leaves him in debt to his shop to the tune of ?300 after paying off what he sold the old drumkit for. Heeeey ho. lalalalalal don´t want to know don´t want to know

WestCountryLass · 16/03/2007 21:41

Posted sympathies to CB but not sure where message has gone

Suffice to say, I hope your DS is not in too much pain, poor love
