raspberry increase in vaginal discharge completely normal at this stage.. if it's continuous however...

Ghostonthedancefloor · 30/04/2017 15:07

ticky sounds very promising! Good luck!

yellowismyfavourite · 30/04/2017 16:03

@teainbed glad it was ok... what a relief for you
ticky sounds promising! claire that's good news about the monitor... hope all is ok today
@RaspberryInAMelon that ankle sounds really painful... hope you can rest it

We are enjoying a day at home just the 3 of us today after mw appointment this morning. DS seems fine but has had the shaking twice since A and E yesterday. We know it's nothing serious with him because they checked all that yesterday but if it happens again I am going to film it to show the mw.

It has been nice to have no visitors today... We have had some good bonding time just the 3 of us

Autumnsweater · 30/04/2017 16:37

@beanturnipandspud thanks for sharing that, really helpful

@rasperryinamelon I've had clear/yellow discharge for the past month or so but I do think it's increased in the past week. Been wearing panty liners to save changing my knickers all the time.

mrspage1985 · 30/04/2017 16:45

Random symptom ...does anyone else keep chocking on their own saliva?? Ie just not consciously swallowing often enough?!

Badgerbird · 30/04/2017 17:06

yellow that sounds like s lovely family day Smile I can't wait! Did they say anything about why he might be shaking sometimes?

newbieho · 30/04/2017 17:22

@mrspage1985 salivating/choking was the symptom of my allergy to omeprazole. It was a bit scary at night, you may mention it to the MW or GP if you are worried.

ClaireSunflower · 30/04/2017 18:13

Thanks for the support everyone, movements seem back to normal today so less worried. Hopefully he was just having a lazy day yesterday but will keep an eye on things.

Today we've been out to a good market which was nice and then to mothercare to buy a sling. Went for the baby bjorn we sling in the end as dh liked that one best. We've just finished building the glider chair for the baby's room. I'm not sure what language the instructions were in originally but the translation to English was awful so it took ages! 🙈

MrsJW15 · 30/04/2017 19:01

How do you tell the difference between actual contractions and BH? I've had no sign of my plug or anything but some pain low down in the past day. Could just be baby moving. But just now bump went very hard and I felt the pain low down. Bump stayed hard as I moved from lying to sitting. Anything to get excited about?! I'm 38 weeks - and ideally would like another few days! But off to eat some curry...

Barnes79 · 30/04/2017 19:06

MrsP yes I do that too! I wonder if it's something to do with the increased saliva production (which apparently is also a pregnancy side effect) combined with the relaxin hormone affecting ligaments or something around the throat... 🤔

I've got another new weird symptom - my skin on the front of my right thigh has gone ridiculously tender and sore to touch - even clothing makes it sore. Anyone else had this or knows what it is?

I'm another one with increased discharge so am glad it's not me. 😳

I also keep getting random back aches which is new and am getting fed up of the random bottom of the bump pains which yesterday evening were lasting for over an hour! Perhaps my bump is finally "popping" and I'm having 8 months of stretching within a 5 day period... 😖

Sonnet18 · 30/04/2017 19:12

Just place marking! Been awol a while as I couldn't keep up with the threads but finished work now so hopefully get caught up soon!
Congrats to all the new mummies! Such lovely news!
I've 11 days until my due date and I am horribly disorganised- hoping to get things in order this week!

BouncingBlueberry · 30/04/2017 19:34

Hi guys need some advice from fellow GD sufferers. I've really struggled today to increase my sugar levels. They've been hovering between 2.7/3.2 - I'm on a pre meal testing day. Haven't changed anything with my diet or increased my normal exercise levels. Do I need to ring triage or just keep monitoring them myself?

teainbed · 30/04/2017 19:53

I'm not GD @BouncingBlueberry but low blood sugars and placental insufficiency was why I got induced. I would call for advice. How many weeks are you now?

mrspage1985 · 30/04/2017 20:18

Glad to hear it's not just me Barnes and the reason u suggest makes sense!!

I'm not on any medication newbie so I don't think it's that - it's just catches Me by surprise!!

Had a lovely day here - a proper chilled out, no getting dressed, watching crap tv Sunday! Haven't had one in ages and I feel better for it already! Have had a terrible cold for last three weeks which I believe to be tired/stress induced in the lead up to finishing work. Now since Friday it has virtually gone - so glad to have finished!!

Had my pre baby meal last night, (didn't want a shower just a meal out with close friends) and it was lovely. So glad we did it as it was great to catch up with everyone but not be centre of attention!!!
Also 2nd NCT class which was fab and gave us loads of info and converted us to slings - think we are going for the cabooo along as it suited both of us perfectly.

Exciting times with twinges etc that everyone is feeling - I can't wait to see more births come on to the thread!! Xx

BouncingBlueberry · 30/04/2017 20:46

@teainbed I'm 36+3. I carbed my tea up a bit and got a 1 hour post reading of 5.8. Will have a snack before bed and see what they are like in the morning. I've got an appointment with the diabetic team on Thursday to book my induction date so will see what they say then. I think I've maybe been over strict with myself as I was so determined not to go on medication.

WishIWasSleeping · 30/04/2017 21:05

Oh blueberry- glad to here they've come up a little. I have no experience, but do check in with us all in the morning so we know you're well. x

Autumnsweater · 30/04/2017 21:21

blueberry glad they've come up a bit.

I've had period-type pains in lower abdomen yesterday evening and again today. Along with back ache but that's pretty normal for me these days! Just having a nice warm bath, DH has brought me up some frozen yoghurt Grin.

Rustler74 · 30/04/2017 22:32

@mrspage1985 and @Barnes79 me too I sometimes choke on my own saliva. I'm more likely to little choking events than I normally am.

Been to cinema today Beauty and the Beast. Soppy me cried of course! Went for a Nando's afterwards which made baby very happy as loads of movement going on!

Feeling physically very tired and getting swollen feet regularly now.

Tickyboovicki · 30/04/2017 23:10

Just a bit of an update, had more of a 'show' this evening and have now resorted to timing contractions. Not 100% sure they are contractions, somehow felt I would just 'know' but it's back ache, pretty intense period type pain, tightening across whole bump & pain down below. So according to everything I've read (done a lot of reading today!) they might be! Seem to be lasting 20-30 seconds at the minute and varying between 8-11 minutes between them

MrsJW15 · 01/05/2017 00:11

Good luck @Tickyboovicki - hope that is something! It's so funny us all trying to work out what's going on - wish it was all clearer.

vanilla8 · 01/05/2017 00:22

Good luck @Tickyboovicki , sounds like everything I've read. Try and relax and get the oxytocin going to help this early stage along

EsmesBees · 01/05/2017 07:41

That sounds like the start of labour ticky. Fingers crossed all progresses smoothly.

Anyone woken up in a bit of a panic as it now appears to be May? Not quite sure how that happened.

newbieho · 01/05/2017 07:48

@EsmesBees panic mode in full swing here 🙋🏼

CoxsOrangePippin · 01/05/2017 08:05

Not quite panicking because I think baby will be late late late - but starting to get a bit organised at last!

Awake at 4.30 this morning so tried to sort through the hand me down baby clothes. Am I right to think that age 1 month is smaller than age 0-3 months? Feeling a bit ignorant here! Blush

EsmesBees · 01/05/2017 08:07

Yep that's right Cox. 1 month is something like up to 9lb, and 0-3 is up to 12lb.
