Got a feeling I might be offered a sweep tomorrow at my 40 week appointment but think I will decline for now.

Yay for being discharged @newbieho!

MrsJW15 · 16/05/2017 20:00

I asked for one Fox - I was so keen to get baby moving. Doesn't seem to have done the trick though.

DH is ill. Not quite sure what's wrong with him, he told me he wasn't feeling well today after he'd been to the gym. I'm pretty sure he's got a bit of a temperature, and perhaps an upset stomach. So now I'm trying to look after him too. Think I might make him sleep in the spare room tonight though!

Sipperskipper · 16/05/2017 20:13

Baby girl sipper born 2335 yesterday by emergency c section. Both in hospital for a couple of days but doing well. Will post birth story on the thread when I get a chance. Hope everyone is doing ok!

Congratulations on your lovely baby girl @Sipperskipper 😍and wishing you a quick recovery after the EMCS.

CoxsOrangePippin · 16/05/2017 20:21

sipperskipper what a gorgeous new arrival, well done you! Hope the emergency section wasn't too scary and glad you are doing well.

BouncingBlueberry · 16/05/2017 20:32

@Sipperskipper Congratulations on your lovely new arrival. Hope your both recovering well.

teainbed · 16/05/2017 20:40

Congratulations @Sipperskipper ! Welcome BabySipper and hope your recovery is uneventful, Flowers

EsmesBees · 16/05/2017 21:06

Beautiful baby sipper. I love her sock/mitten. Many congratulations.

Bean sounds like you are being very stoic in a stressful situation. Hard to believe someone would do that to your family, bit buying and selling houses does seem to being out the worst in people.

MrsJ I would banish to the spare room and leave him to it. Last thing you want is to get ill yourself.

Fox I think I will too if offered a sweep on Friday at 40 wks. I'm in no rush, and they didn't get things moving last time anyway.

MrsJW15 · 16/05/2017 21:33

Congratulations @Sipperskipper! Hope you are recovering well.

Northernexile · 16/05/2017 21:53

Congratulations sipper, what a beautiful girl! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Glad you got out newbie, there's nothing like escaping the post-natal ward and getting into your own bed!

Badgerbird · 16/05/2017 22:09

Congratulations sipper! Wishing you a quick recovery and lots of lovely snuggles with baby sipper.

Glad you can get home newbie :)

mrsjw sorry to hear DH not feeling well, sounds like spare room might be a good idea, you don't wanna get poorly now.

Ouch blueberry! Hope it gets things moving for you.

I hope the massage helped ease some of the stress bean

Good luck to those having sweeps tomorrow.

Rustler74 · 16/05/2017 22:10

Congratulations @Sipperskipper what a gorgeous baby x
Also happy about discharge home @newbieho now the fun can start.

The Stuva changing table is ready for use now! Yes it was less harmonious that when I did this with my OH but hey my dad is here to help!

Last antenatal visit to community midwife today showed high bp (140/90 then 130/10) and some protein in sample so I was sent to triage. Luckily CTG showed all was good with my rock star baby and there was some love for the performance. Blood was taken but due to cyber problems, the result wasn't in yet by the time I got to see the doctor. Bp had remained similar so I'm coming back in on Thursday to have it monitored again. If all remains the same I'll be provided with a pessary on Friday. If the pessary gets my labour going (fingers x as I'm feeling increasing pressure down below inside my pelvis) I could still give birth in MLU. If induction with the drip is required I'll be in labour unit.

It's getting so real now! I'm mentally ready for giving birth! It's still a tiny bit unreal that I'm gonna be a mum, though.

Ladies keep the baby spam coming, I just LOVE IT!

Rustler74 · 16/05/2017 22:33

Also, is anyone capable of starting up a new thread? Inspiration welcome?

#15: the one where no-one is sleeping

Day 4 post birth and trying to pick a name for our dd. Urgh, names are hard and the pressure from family on this is actually worse than waiting for her to be born in the first place. Ideally we'd try out a name a day for a week and see what sticks, but with a toddler around and both sets of parents asking I think we'll end up just picking one and hoping we don't change our minds. Toddler DD has decided to call her Girl, because she's not a boy Grin

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 16/05/2017 23:23

Thank you all for the well wishes and blueberry offer of babysitting ducklings Grin

Induction started really well but ended in emergency Caesarean section under general anesthetic. However so happy to meet Harrison Joseph at last that it's almost forgotten already (at least until I try and get off the bed tomorrow). I can't even get a photo as he's currently limpetted on across my collar bone sleeping soundly. He is feeding really well, looking forward to being able to position him myself I'm currently asking for help a lot!

Congratulations sipper beautiful picture hope you recover well Flowers

1004Rise · 16/05/2017 23:47

Stupid app lost my post!!

Congratulations @Sipperskipper she's lovely!

@dreamofhungarianlanterns sorry the moving is so chaotic 😕

@newbieho yeay for home time!

You can tell there are more babies, definitely taken us longer to fill this one up, @Rustler74 @stationaryace sounds about right

We may have narrowed the name down to two..... this is hard!!

Congratulations @dreamofhungarianlanterns!!! Looking forward to pictures!

teainbed · 17/05/2017 01:28

Congratulations @dreamofhungarianlanterns hope you're feeling ok.

lullaby23 · 17/05/2017 01:39

Congratulations sipper and dream on the new babies!

Exciting to have a plan rustler not long until sprout makes an entrance.

Sorry about the house stress bean just what you don't need right now. Not at all the same but we ended up moving 2 weeks before our wedding (5 months after offer accepted) and that felt like cutting it fine.

Had my last physio session yesterday and feeling bruised, ouch!

BouncingBlueberry · 17/05/2017 03:22

@dreamofhungarianlanterns Congratulations on the birth of your little one. Hope you have a speedy recovery and not in too much pain.

CoxsOrangePippin · 17/05/2017 04:43

dream congratulations and well done. I love your description of 'limpetted'!

McBaby · 17/05/2017 05:36

We had another little girl yesterday evening. She weighs a little over 4kg and was born in the pool. All doing well and glad to not be pregnant anymore!

Hope everyone else is doing well with their new arrivals and the end is in sights for all the pregnancies.

Tickyboovicki · 17/05/2017 07:21

Congratulations @sipperskipper! Hope you have a nice speedy recovery.

@stationaryace your DDs suggestion is great, girl has quite a ring to it!

@dreamofhungarianlanterns congratulations to you as well! Sorry to hear things didn't go to plan but enjoy getting to know Harrison, I'm sure he's worth everything!

@beanturnipandspud hopefully your not too stressed, and fingers crossed baby is feeling speedy
