Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Morning ladies!
I've woken up this morning feeling rough again...a little bit 'retchy' For those with sickness is this how it started??

MaryShelley1818 · 25/04/2017 06:06

Monty I'd have killed him with my bare hands! 😆😂

biginjapan · 25/04/2017 06:32

Hi everyone - it's amazingrobot after a nc. Great to hear how you are all getting on - congratulations to the newcomers. I am awaiting my second scan tomorrow - for those that don't know I had a not very reassuring scan last week with a tiny empty gestational sac (5mm) measuring 5 days- 1 week behind. Not great as I only dtd once during that cycle so am pretty sure of my dates.

I bizarrely feel more pregnant now - my nipples have darkened, bleeding stopped and I have had one incidence of v mild nausea. It's a cruel trick as I'm pretty sure it can't be good news...

Anyway, I'm attaching today's poas efforts. I don't really trust them as I know that the hcg takes a long time to disappears, but having had the weakest ic lines up until recently there is something nice about seeing dark ones :( top is opk, bottom hpt.

Good luck to you all and I'll give my final check in tomorrow.

Good luck today @Biginjapan, have everything crossed for you xx

MontyPants · 25/04/2017 06:56

Ah biginjapan good luck, I hope it is happy news for you 💐 X

Lixon · 25/04/2017 07:03

Good luck biginjapan, rooting for you! Bleeding having stopped is definitely a good sign so fingers crossed, the waiting is just so awful..,

Monty even when not pregnant I get furious at dh for eating my treats (which he regularly does!), I have to hide everything. I have a cream egg in a little suitcase which I'm saving Grin

Midwife appointment this afternoon, excited I think...

DoctorDonnaNoble · 25/04/2017 07:07

Good luck biginjapan.
I'm hoping to hear from midwives soon. It's nearly a week since I filled in the form and when I self-referred last time (February) they got back to me on the next day!

MontyPants · 25/04/2017 07:14

Haha good idea Lixon. He'd probably still find my secret stash and eat it though.
Hope your appointment goes ok!

TootsyBella84 · 25/04/2017 07:40

Ah good luck biginjapan I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a positive outcome!

Good luck Angeilka with your scan today too!

MaryShelley1818 · 25/04/2017 07:44

Good luck biginjapan!! I'm keeping everything crossed for you xx

Carlotta82248 · 25/04/2017 07:46

Love love love that you're all (or at least a lot of you) are as insane as me and are still peeing on all of the sticks I really need to stop! Laughed out loud when I saw the opks as thought I was only one. All this talk of food though, is anyone else a chubby Mum to be? I struggle with my weight (caused by years of obsessive dieting I think) and my bmi is 34/35, really want to keep it around the same throughout, have been researching and it's possible but definitely harder amongst the constant chat off beige food hahaha! I'm 6 weeks today so might pop in Drs and fill the mw form in on my way to fat club, I'm the same as @MmmAsparagus, haven't wanted to do it and jinx things x

Carlotta82248 · 25/04/2017 07:47

My spelling and grammar is atrocious in above post, forgive me!

Angielka · 25/04/2017 07:49

Thanks tootsy! And good luck biginjapan!

I've taken my girls to school and have been sitting on my stairs for 15 minutes willing myself to leave for work Shock really don't want to! 😭

DoctorDonnaNoble · 25/04/2017 07:54

Carlotta - I'm the same. Following something along the lines of Slimming World in pregnancy is ok (and I think may even be encouraged in my case!). At the minute I'm focusing on keeping up my exercise. They couldn't take my rings off when I went in for c section with DS and they still wouldn't be able to now! I will need to do something about that before my fingers swell up!

Beardy1 · 25/04/2017 07:55

ang I am exactly the same. My office was awful as my new staff gets cold really easily so we had hearing on full blast and windows shut. I was overheating all day and could smell people if they were a tad stinky. Hence I'm dreading day 2. Good luck today.

To all the ladies opking, I didn't even know this was a thing. I'm not even going to go there as I can't how obsessive it is. Eek!!

Currently living on rice cakes and smoothies. Can't fave anything else!!!

60percentbanana · 25/04/2017 07:55

Just checking in to the new thread x

Beardy1 · 25/04/2017 07:56

Omg excuse my early morning nom message checking above

Hearing = heating
Can't = can see
Fave = face

Carlotta82248 · 25/04/2017 08:07

@DoctorDonnaNoble I went back to SW the week I found out, lost a pound last week and hoping for a couple today, probably aren't following it quite as strictly as I should be but am trying as much as possible. Got really good at walking to work last spring/summer, must try and start again although the extra 30 mins in bed usually wins out!

mamalovesviolet · 25/04/2017 08:17

Everything crossed for you biginjapan x

Carlotta82248 · 25/04/2017 08:28

Thinking of you @biginjapan, really hope things are positive for you x

Wonderfulstuff · 25/04/2017 08:34

Doctor and Carlotta I follow SlimmingWorld and was fine up to 7 weeks but over the last week I've really struggled to stick to plan. Haven't gained weight but maintaining. Annoyingly just a 1lb loss would put me in a lower bmi category but I just can't manage it right now. Hopefully my love of veg will return. Good luck for weigh day. X

Carlotta82248 · 25/04/2017 08:40

@Wonderfulstuff it's so hard isn't it! I get weighed today and yesterday consisted of breakfast biscuits, white toast, cheese and crackers and sugar free ribena! I'm annoyed with myself as I've been trying since Sept last year and have always known I need to do it but found the stress of TTC wasn't conducive to weight loss either x

Wonderfulstuff · 25/04/2017 08:48

Carlotta it sure is! I've been doing SW for a year and have only gained twice (after holidays) so I know I can do it. Right now I'm just trying to be kind to myself and try my best. My nausea is evil so managing that is a priority.
Also high five for Ribena. My DP reckons this baby's going to look like a blackcurrant Grin
Don't be too tough on yourself. X

MummyHenman2be · 25/04/2017 09:06

I'm meant to be doing Slimming world too but I'm having to eat and graze all day to keep the nausea at bay. I'm absolutely fine as long as I'm eating so it's not going so well!!

Spoke to my doctor last week and apparently if your BMI is over 30 then you should be on a higher dose of folic acid- 5mg. I am borderline but have got it just to be on the safe side.

Have a good day everyone!

Thewinedidit · 25/04/2017 09:14

Good luck today biginjapan
