Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Tootsy I know Sad it's scary no matter what. Give them a call, there's no sense spending an extra day worrying for no reason. See if they can squeeze you in.

For what it's worth, I'm STILL getting the odd but of brown spotting/discharge and everything is fine Smile but please, see it they'll see you tomorrow to put your mind at rest.

Annie1290 · 30/04/2017 11:16

Another one here veering between feeling so sick, and wanting to eat to stop the nausea. Have only been sick once so far.
Whoever said they just feel 'Urgh' or like they're coming down with a sickness bug, I'm totally with you.

BirdBrain85 · 30/04/2017 11:22

Bluebell So pleased for you!! Whether it's one or two in there I hope everything is looking great on your next scan Smile

Tootsy Hope they can get you in for an earlier scan, definitely worth asking. Keeping my fingers crossed everything is okay xx

I'm also in the nausea club, although don't feel like I can moan when some of you are actually being sick. The nausea is pretty vile when it comes on though. Also get really tired. Oh, and I got measured for a new bra yesterday and I've gone up two sizes Shock.

BirdBrain85 · 30/04/2017 11:28

Annie YES! If I eat the nausea will generally go away for a bit. Trouble is I'm putting on weight Hmm really not looking forward to the midwife weighing me next week. Keep saying I'll be really good for a few days to 'fix' things but it's not happened yet!

biginjapan · 30/04/2017 11:33

Tootsy it's rough - I'm in the same place, but my spotting is pink. If it's any consolation I just called the epu, and based on my scans they think it's ok. She actually said pink spotting is probably nothing to worry about.

biginjapan · 30/04/2017 11:34

Also, I think you are in Scotland? The epu at the royal infirmary in Edinburgh have been wonderful for me - worth a try - mine offered me a scan on the same day once.

TootsyBella84 · 30/04/2017 11:41

Yes we're a bit further north in Scotland! Luckily our EPU have always been great and got me in ASAP so I think I will give them a call in the morning. Shouldn't be affected by the bank holiday should they?

Beardy1 · 30/04/2017 11:43

I'm there with the people on the nausea. I have days when it's so bad I struggle to function and then one good day comes out of the blue where I can enjoy my day. I'm eating most of the time to stave off being sick. I'm so over food at the moment. Bleurghhh!! I'm now dreading week 9 if it's going to get worse!!

mamalovesviolet · 30/04/2017 12:10

Hope they can fit you in Tootsy. I've got my fingers crossed everything's ok for you.

mamalovesviolet · 30/04/2017 12:11

I ate so much last night before bed. I couldn't decide what to finish on...did I want to finish in crisps or shortbread or chocolate cookie. And what flavour crisp ready salted or cool original doritos. So I just kept eating. Suffice to say I lay in bed feeling so ill!!

Mrsbluebell17 · 30/04/2017 12:20

@TheGrumpySquirrel I've just messaged you regarding my forthcoming USA trip! Hope all is well with your trip!

GadgetgirlUk · 30/04/2017 12:25

Am currently sat in a pub waiting for my family to have a huge Sunday roast... feeling so sick, have thrown up twice this morning... not quite sure how I'm going to get through it Confused

Mrsbluebell17 · 30/04/2017 12:30

Hope you're feeling ok gadget. I've only eaten four digestive biscuits so far today as I'm not hungry but feel a bit sick. Need to go food shopping in a bit so need to eat something. Just trying to pack for my trip to the USA now too for work! Feeling really anxious about feeling ill on the flight Hmm

DiveItLikeYouStoleIt · 30/04/2017 12:41

Hope everything is ok @tootsy and they fit you in quickly tomorrow. How north are you? Had experience of dundee and fife and both were very good in previous pregnancies.
Just burnt lunch as was browsing through all the posts... 😕

Zaberwocky · 30/04/2017 13:05

This is probably such a stupid question, but it's bothering me!

Here we get health visitor visits between 28-32 weeks, and I was reading about them asking about support you have from family and friends Blush I'll have moved by then! I won't know anyone and I'll be a minimum of 6 hours away from family and friends.

Am I likely to be hugely judged!?

Oysterbabe · 30/04/2017 13:12

Nah, we have no family anywhere near. I can't even remember them asking TBH.

Zaberwocky · 30/04/2017 13:16

That's oddly relieving Oyster Grin I don't fancy someone coming in judging all my cardboard boxes!

leighdinglady · 30/04/2017 13:18

Our closest family is over 2 hours away too. Sad I love living in Brighton and wouldn't change it, but god I wish I could move my family around the corner!

Carlotta82248 · 30/04/2017 13:24

My day has been so productive, got up, lazed around, ate two bacon buns and then went back to bed for 1.5 hours. Feel wiped out! A bit crampy today at 6+5, normal do you think?

BirdBrain85 · 30/04/2017 13:59

Zaber I'm a health visitor! Haha. You won't be judged at all - they will just want to make sure you know where you can access local antenatal / baby groups to meet other mums. By that time you might well have joined some antenatal classes and made some pals anyway, and I'm sure your family will still be available for emotional support even if they are six hours away Smile

MaryShelley1818 · 30/04/2017 14:22

Carlotta I had cramp and also some twinges/stabby pains yesterday at 7wks. All normal I believe!

Tootsy, I'm sure it'll all be fine but hope you can get in to be scanned early. Thinking of you xxx

Marie90 · 30/04/2017 14:22

Sorry I'm so behind on all the chat! Huge congratulations to those who have had scans (it must be so relieving), and Wow to Bluebell on potential twins! That would definitely freak me out if I'm honest!

Hope you can get an appointment at the EPU Tootsy so you can check everything is ok. Try and take it steady Flowers

Sorry to all those who are actually sick! Been feeling on off nauseous but still no actual vom!

Met up with some old uni friends last night who don't know I'm pregnant and had an interesting night trying to pretend to drink! These included:
*Peach flavoured water in an Archers bottle for predrinks.
*Constantly having to say "my round" so either me or my OH could order something non alcoholic. (I ended up spending so much in other people's drinks)!
*My OH drinking my shots when no one was looking (yes he ended up wrecked)!
*And my personal favourite... Knocking a vodka coke flying off the table 'by accident' because there was no other way of avoiding drinking it!!

I swear it was ridiculous. Luckily it's the last night out of any kind where people won't know we're preggers.

Tbh even before we got pregnant I was a PJ and cuppa tea girl so I thought I did pretty well lasting until 2am!!

(Currently lying in bed not planning on moving for the rest of the bank holiday weekend)!!

Hope you all have a lovely long weekend!

Zaberwocky · 30/04/2017 14:57

Awh thank you Bird Smile

Hopefully we'll be settled in by then! I'm not trying to get too far ahead of myself, just because I know we're being posted in September doesn't mean I'll know where for a while yet! As long as it's not too remote I'll be fine Grin or too cold.

TootsyBella84 · 30/04/2017 15:52

Ah DiveItLikeYouStoleIt had both my dc in Fife. We're now up in Moray!

Zaberwocky · 30/04/2017 15:57

Tootsy how're you feeling? Did you try to give the EPU a call? Flowers

Bluebell I've finally managed to get on the laptop without puking on the keyboard Grin I revised it so it makes slightly more sense to someone else reading it, and sent you the spreadsheet.
