Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

bluebell glad all went well wth your scan, and how exciting that there might be two! We said earlier that someone on this thread would be having twins!

MaryShelley1818 · 29/04/2017 13:40

OMG!! Bluebell that's so exciting!!! How do you both feel??
How on earth will you wait TWO while weeks for another scan to find out...awwww that actually made me really tearful reading that 😪💕

Oysterbabe · 29/04/2017 13:51

Glad it went Bluebell and fingers crossed for twins 🤞😁
Was your scan internal?

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/04/2017 13:56

Hi everyone thanks for the lovely messages. We are absolutely delighted that there's definitely one wth a good heartbeat and measuring as expected but REALLY excited about it possibly being twins. BUT it might not be yet. She really wasn't sure. But I guess she was unsure enough to give us a free rescan.

She suggested two weeks to allow growth so we can see more and get a more certain answer. Also it's exciting as if there is only one then at least we get to see it again in a couple of weeks and then it'll be three weeks ish before our NHS twelve week scan.

I had external scan and then she asked if she could do internal for a clearer picture and that's when she said she thought she could see two!
Internal scan was fine, hardly felt anything at all. A bit weird when it went in 😂 and then it was fine.

All is good. So happy. DH is so excited that it may be twins too, so I'm trying to tell him not to get his hopes up.

Sorry I've not responded individually to everyone. I'm a little overwhelmed Grin

GadgetgirlUk · 29/04/2017 14:42

That's amazing @Bluebell!! Our scan was amazing too! At one point it was wriggling and waving its little arm buds around! Turns out I'm 9 weeks and not 8 as I thought. We definitely have only one in there, but it's heart was beating so fast!! It all just feels quite insane to think there's a baby in me 😀 I'll try and put a picture up later

ChocolateRaisin · 29/04/2017 15:19

That's amazing Bluebell, congrats!

I'm 8 weeks today, my nausea has eased right off in the last few days, it's making me nervous despite my scan last week.

ChocolateRaisin · 29/04/2017 15:20

Congrats gadget!

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/04/2017 15:28

Yay gadget. That's awesome for you Grin

Chamonix1 · 29/04/2017 15:33

Yay! Congratulations Gadgetgirl and bluebell!

Do twins run in the family then bluebell? I'm crossing my fingers that you're the one having twins and it'll statistically rule me out Grin

Must feel very real for those of you that've had scans now!

LapinR0se · 29/04/2017 15:47

Such lovely news on the scans this weekend Smile

GadgetgirlUk · 29/04/2017 16:11

Thank you everyone, yes it feels scarily really! Bet it's doubley real for you, @Bluebell 😂

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/04/2017 16:24

Cham no twins in the family apart from IVF twins on DHs side so not sure where it's one from.
Gadget Yeah, its real for sure although I'm not convinced it was right but just thankful there was one good heartbeat and size for sure.

Happy weekend Grin

Bisquick · 29/04/2017 16:47

Congrats on the scans everyone!
And how exciting Bluebell - I'm sure I've read somewhere that it is only non-identical twins that are maternally inherited but identical twins just occur naturally among anyone.

I've had weird evening sickness all week. Only sick around 4.30-5pm every evening and end up throwing up after 10-15 mins of feeling bleargh. No other symptoms really apart from feeling very tired.

Back to work on Tuesday after 4 months - I already look quite bloated and feel exhausted. Don't want to tell anyone though so need to find some loose floaty tops and try to "woman" up a bit.

millsbynight · 29/04/2017 17:06

Bluebell that's amazing! Was it an internal scan? I'm surprised the sonographer couldn't make a definite conclusion, but v v exciting news!!

millsbynight · 29/04/2017 17:08

Oops bluebell just re-read your post. She'll be able to see a lot more in a couple of weeks. Hooray!

Good news gadget!

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/04/2017 17:12

Hey mills. Yeah she said in her ten years of doing this she's never been sat on the fence so much about whether it is or not!!! Funny. I guess we'll know in two weeks tomorrow when we go back.

Bisquick I hope your sickness passes soon Flowers
That's interesting re identical.

biginjapan · 29/04/2017 17:16

Great news on scans, and looking forward to hearing about twins or not bluebell!

I'm spotting again Sad don't know what to think as this has happened on and off all the way through and have had one positive scan...

It's v light pink but just so disheartening. I keep thinking I can start getting excited and then feel deflated again. Can't tell dh as we are not on the same page at all.

Mrsbluebell17 · 29/04/2017 17:24

Sorry to hear that big. Can you get checked over at EPU or anything, for reassurance?

biginjapan · 29/04/2017 17:46

I feel like I live in that place and it's a nightmare to get to. They pretty much discharged me last time. I still have symptoms, so...

Part of me thinks that is just the way this pregnancy is going to go - it's no worse than it has ever been and so far the embryo has grown appropriately. I just don't know.

Itsjustaphase84 · 29/04/2017 17:50

Hey everyone. Been lurking. I'm 5+5 weeks based on LMP and that tells me I'm due 25/12!!!

This is my 2nd. Not booked in my midwife appt yet so will probably do that around 8 weeks.

I'm so tired today and full of a cold.i feel hungry all the time.
Still can't stop poas tocheck my hormone level is still high.

Xx

Oysterbabe · 29/04/2017 18:03

Welcome itsjustaphase you'll fit right in Grin
How old is your first child?

Itsjustaphase84 · 29/04/2017 18:17

My DS is 2. I'm so bloody tired today even after a 2 hour mid afternoon nap and have mum guilt about sticking on f'kin Peter Rabbit for the millionth time in the last hour. But we both have colds and DH is cooking so it's fine for us to laze.
I was at PIL last night and felt like I was busting out my jeans I had to stealthily undo.

I saw you on the TTC buses Oyster. Is this your first?

GadgetgirlUk · 29/04/2017 18:28

Oh @Big, sending you hugs. Your little bean really is a pickle making you worry like this! Xxx

MummyHenman2be · 29/04/2017 18:42

So, I've had to buy maternity jeans and bras today!

That'll save me from doing my jeans up with a hair band for the time being!!

Had to buy a G cup maternity bra... Shock I hope they don't grow anymore!

Also, trying out sea bands and so far so good! Hope they continue to work!

Anyone else's legs feel like they burn up sometimes?

Congrats to all of the people with scans today- fab news!! I have my early reassurance scan tomorrow- can't wait!!

Oysterbabe · 29/04/2017 18:43

No it's my second too. DD is 16 months and it's bloody knackering this time round.
DD keeps bringing me the Gruffalo and climbing into my lap, I've read it about 30 times today. I feel bad for looking forward to her bedtime!

Sound's really stressful japan :( I'd give EPU a call on Monday if you're still spotting.
