Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Hi all,

Sorry I don't have time to do personals or catch up on all the posts, I'm shattered after my day but very happy also!

Scan went really well. Baby is measuring correct for dates at 7+4 (gestational age 7+5 today), heart rate is fantastic at 153 and the crl measurement is 12.8mm! They confirmed my due date as the 9th of December too.

Attached the scan photo for you all. Really pleased with it as you can see baby's little profile already Smile

Hope everyone else is well xx

Chocolate so pleased you had a great scan too Smile

Oysterbabe · 27/04/2017 21:36

Lovely pic Birdbrain. Congrats Smile
I'll be 7+4 when I have mine. Was it internal?

BirdBrain85 · 27/04/2017 21:43

Oyster Thank you Smile - yes it was internal. That scan is 3d I think, the 2d one I have isn't so clear but still cute! Hope all goes well with yours.

MontyPants · 27/04/2017 21:47

Wow bird that's amazing. My scan at around 6 and a half weeks was a tiny bean shape. I can't believe how quickly they change. Can't WAIT for 12 week scan

TootsyBella84 · 27/04/2017 21:57

Awesome scan pic Bird!

Angeilka I've been wearing sea bands for a few days now and today I've started to feel a little better, not sure if it's actually down to them or not lol.
If you put 3 fingers together and place the first one on your wrist, where the last finger is should be where the little ball sits. Does that even make sense? I have a little dent where it lands so I think hope it's in the right place lol

ChocolateRaisin · 27/04/2017 22:06

Thanks everyone!

Fantastic news bird, so glad you had a great scan too! It's such a relief to know everything is alright in there!

My pic isn't as clear as yours but it wasn't internal.

glastogal · 27/04/2017 22:15

Great news choc and bird and what a fabulous scan pic. Mine was a definite blob!! 😂

avalidusername · 27/04/2017 22:40

Hello! Can I join in?

Due December 23, first scan in the middle of May due to recurrent mcs. We are very excited but nervous at the same time as our most recent loss was only the back end of last year. Little to no symptoms either which isn't like me!

Mrsbluebell17 · 27/04/2017 23:11

Evening all. Just checking in to say hi to everyone. Congrats to the newbies and great news from the couple of scans today - so pleased for you.

I'm feeling a little less sick now but still tired out. Brought a pack of biscuits up to my bedside table with my water tonight incase I get the same feelings in the night again.

Sleep well all, here's hoping for a better nights sleep for me too tonight.

MontyPants · 27/04/2017 23:20

I'm just wondering what people's thoughts are on buying maternity clothes this early? I'll be 8+4 at midnight (going off my Ovia app lol) so I haven't got a bump yet, but I definitely look -fat- bloated. I just worry that ordering maternity clothes now is tempting fate! But I would be so much more comfortable....

MontyPants · 27/04/2017 23:22

Meant to put fat Think I was right the first time. Just looking fat at the min 😂

Mrsbluebell17 · 27/04/2017 23:32

Monty maybe just buy one or two things that would make things easier if you want to? Then you will feel better about it and can still go shopping for more when you want to.

I'm feeling really anxious tonight. Worrying about being away with work next week, hate being away from my DH but especially nervous incase I feel ill or something is wrong or worrying me whilst I'm away. Confused

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/04/2017 23:38

@Mrsbluebell17 thinking of you ahead of your work trip. I'm in California now and heading to New York on Tuesday. I had terrible jet lag the first night and felt very sick and panicky. However it's been fine since then and i am trying to remember that it's a developed country and if something happened I could go to hospital and be treated. I don't have any pregnancy nausea thank god. I'm 7+5 tomorrow. It's tough being this far away from home but it'll be over before you know it. In the meantime I am trying my best to enjoy the positives- like sunshine!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/04/2017 23:40

It kind of sucks being at a conference where I have to hide not drinking! But I've managed quite well so far - juice and soda with slices of fruit to look like a cocktail 😉

Mrsbluebell17 · 27/04/2017 23:48

Thanks grumpy. Maybe we could message next week as we'll be in a similar situation. It would be nice.

I'm worrying about the flight. I don't get sick on flights normally but I felt really queasy today for the first time where it's lasted more than an hour, so I'm worried I'll end up feeling or being more sick on the flight.

I'm a worrier anyway though Confused

TheGrumpySquirrel · 28/04/2017 00:30

@Mrsbluebell17 yes feel free to PM me (post on here if you do - I don't often check inbox). I did feel a bit queasy after lunch on the flight here but I'm a fearful flyer anyway - I try to remember that the feeling will pass no matter how bad it is and just try to ride it out.

Mrsbluebell17 · 28/04/2017 07:25

Thanks grumpy. Grin

How is everyone this morning? I actually managed to get some sleep thankfully.

TipTop333 · 28/04/2017 07:46

I have a boob question that I completely don't remember the answer to from my last pregnancy.
Does the tenderness stay? Come and go? Disappear after a few weeks? I can't remember!

That scan pic is amazing by the way bluebell. Congrats!

Morning everyone!
I slept until 5ish MrsBluebell, chatted and cuddled with DP for an hour then snoozed on and off until 7ish. More mild queasiness through the night and this morning...3 more sleeps until my scan! X

MaryShelley1818 · 28/04/2017 07:48

Lovely scan piccie!!
And congratulations chocolate and bird too 👶🏼 X

Lixon · 28/04/2017 07:55

Welcome avalidusername :) there's a few of us here with history of miscarriages and other issues so know exactly how you feel - keeping everything crossed for you that this time goes smoothly. Other than the scan are you on any plans/treatment?

Lovely scan pic BirdBrain, crazy how quickly they grow st this stage!

Sorry about your anxiety mrsbluebell but it's so lovely that grumpy squirrel is in the same boat. I would love some Californian sunshine about now! Hopefully if you stock up on snacks and eat continuously on the flight you'll keep the nausea at bay :)

I have a wedding today so will be pretending to drink and struggling to stay up past 9/be sociable with no alcohol which is a struggle!!

BirdBrain85 · 28/04/2017 08:30

Aww thanks all, means a lot to hear your lovely comments. All my family and friends (who know) were so great about it - aside from one supposedly close friend who said she didn't want to see anything to do with children and ignored the whole thing Sad. Never mine though, just glad my little bean is safe and well.

Monty I totally want to buy maternity close too! At least some leggings. I know they say you can't show yet but tell that to my round and sticking out belly! Going to get fitted for new bras this weekend too as it's getting a little bit ridiculous now ConfusedGrin

Mrsbluebell17 · 28/04/2017 08:30

Thanks Lixon yes my plan is to take a few bags of ready salted crisps on the flight with my and plenty of bottled water. Hopefully that will see me through.

Mary glad you slept for a little longer this morning too. Are you excited for your scan? I'm nervous and excited for mine. As this is my first i think it's the unknown that makes it nervewracking too. Mine is tomorrow at 12. Eeeeek.

Hope you all have a happy Friday! Smile
