Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

bluebell I asked the midwife today about sharp pains and she said as long as they were intermittent and there was no bleeding that I shouldn't worry. Easier said than done! Hope it passes soon and you can enjoy your curry later. Exhaustion was worse for me around the 6 wk mark than it is now (8+5), but still only managing to stay up until about 9pm.
Think you might need to play the pregnancy card glasto for your meal out next week Grin

pauseplayrepeat · 27/04/2017 16:00

zabe glad new tablets are helping! If it's a good opportunity, why not interview I say.

Zaberwocky · 27/04/2017 16:04

Thanks Pause. Nearly slapped the doctor that asked if I'd tried ginger biscuits Grin but I can hold my head up long enough to mumsnet so it's all good.

I think the worrying about every little twinge might stop at some point... maybe after birth!

That's the thing really. It's not a great opportunity, it's okay money, and people who work there seem happy. It's still quite far removed from my field Sad but realistically I may need to abandon HR if I'm going to be dragged around the country for the next 12 years.

Mrsbluebell17 · 27/04/2017 16:19

Thanks Pause that's good reassurance re the pains. They've gone again now anyway but are still on my mind Hmm

Really finding today hard, im 7 weeks today and it's like all my energy has suddenly gone again? The last few days I've been feeling fairly normal considering.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 27/04/2017 16:25

I've just tried them again no bloody answer even though they say the phone line is manned 9-5. This is not helping my anxiety.

Mrsbluebell17 · 27/04/2017 16:31

Doctor try not to stress - can you try them at a different time tomorrow perhaps?

DoctorDonnaNoble · 27/04/2017 16:43

I've tried them at different times. I'm limited because I obviously can't call during lessons but have done lunch time and after school. Going to try again in a bit.

If anyone can currently see a rather green looking woman stuffing her face with Jacob's Cream Crackers on the train, that's me.

Is anyone on Instagram? I've set up a new account to share my pregnancy journey and what not without anyone I know seeing it until I actually tell people. If you hashtag #pregnancyfood or pregnancydiet or something along those lines there's so many yummy meals on there that just pop up and make you hungry.

Anyway I'm @mumoftheark if anyone wants to follow :) www.instgram.com/mumoftheark

bluebell I'm 7 weeks today too and also feeling like I've been hit with a ton of bricks. About to go to bed for an hour as we speak 😳

Mumoftheark · 27/04/2017 18:28

I'm 5 weeks today and feel so so bloated it's actually an it gross. I had French bread for lunch and it made me look about6 months gone and I burned for about 3 hours afterwards lol. Think I'll avoid that for a bit.
Have an appointment next week with my GP not sure I can wait till 12 weeks to get a scan it's driving me crazy

Zaberwocky · 27/04/2017 18:52

Well I am now the batty pregnant lady that's emailed her MP her life dramas, reminding him IM PREGNANT in every paragraph ...

Supposedly my oven was actually coming today Grin and I've gotten bored of complaining to CA. So I thought my MP may care instead.

I'm not expecting a reply 😂 Have you made it home in once piece Tip ?

MummyHenman2be · 27/04/2017 18:56

@Mumoftheark I have requested :) xx

pauseplayrepeat · 27/04/2017 18:58

Just requested a follow on your IG mumoftheark. I'm finding it so hard not to post my current reality on my IG, ie plates of half eaten snacks and a bloated belly.
tip I hope you have enough crackers for the journey!

TootsyBella84 · 27/04/2017 19:17

Hope everyone is doing okay!
After puking a couple times this morning I'm feeling a little more human today, we had fajitas for tea and they were A-MAZ-ING! Definitely the most I've eaten in the last week but of course now I'm concerned that feeling a little okay means things are wrong! Argh! Can't bloody win can you?!

So the maternity jeans I accidentally won on ebay last week arrived today, I've just tried them on and they are the comfiest jeans in the land. I'm just lying on my bed wearing them. Do I really have to take them off?! 😂

We're away tomorrow until Sunday to visit family, bank holiday Monday on Monday so it's an extra day with dh and the kids and then I've got my scan on Tuesday. I will be 7+3. I'm so nervous! I've had 6 scans over the past year (over 2 pregnancies) and all of them have been depressing. I'm desperate to see a little heartbeat!

ChocolateRaisin · 27/04/2017 19:20

Hi everyone, very happy to report that my scan went well Grin

Measuring exactly to my dates and a good strong little heartbeat. Relieved!!!

TootsyBella84 · 27/04/2017 19:21

Ahh congratulations chocolateraisin 😍

TipTop333 · 27/04/2017 19:24

I did make it home! In the front door, up the stairs, in the bathroom, straight to the loo to see those crackers again!

TootsyBella84 · 27/04/2017 19:26

Just re-read my post and of course it's bank holiday Monday on MONDAY! I'm not stupid, honest.

pauseplayrepeat · 27/04/2017 19:33

Aw that's brilliant chocolate! Ouch Tip, cracker heaving is no fun.

isitwinetimeyet16 · 27/04/2017 19:46

Fab news@ChocolateRaisin!

LapinR0se · 27/04/2017 20:18

The v dark line is the test one. But don't these test for luteinizing hormone?

December 2017 #3 - Beware! There is much talk about food on this thread!
leighdinglady · 27/04/2017 20:52

LH and HCG are pretty identical so opks will show positive for either

Angielka · 27/04/2017 21:26

Congrats choc and good luck for the scan toots - got fingers and toes crossed for you and everyone else with scans coming up.

I know how you feel tiptop - reached a new personal record for vomiting 5 times today; one just now. Morning sickness my arse.

What are these sea bands all about then?! Have they worked for anyone? Got new ones today and if anything felt worse. Maybe I'm not putting them in exactly the right place...?
